Neil Landau covering the Golden Age of TV and interviewing trailblazers is awesome. However, I think his green book TV Writing On Demand: Creating Great Content in the Digital Era offered more insights and substance. I enjoyed hearing about how writers are micromanaged less at Netflix and Amazon given the format and loved interviews with Issa Rae (Awkward), Charlie Booker (Black Mirror), and Raphael Bob-Waksberg Bojack Horseman, and more. All his books are helpful but don't start with this one.

Though not quite as essential as TV Writing On Demand, since it's almost 100% interviews, this book is still an invaluable resource for anyone who's trying to break into the industry, or just curious about how great television is made.
