Jamie: I feel scarred by what happened to me. I am scarred. There’s no getting away from it; I can see the scars every time I look in the mirror… and it bothers me. A lot.
To add to my usual insecurities, I’ve got to work with a guy who’s renowned for being aloof… Not only have I got to work with him, I’ve got to live at his house, share his space, and try not to look too deep into those soulful blue eyes… while trying to find out whether he’s as guilty as our boss thinks he is…
Will: I have a way of dealing with the past, which is quite straightforward: I ignore it. I’ve been doing it for years and it’s worked for me… until now.
Jamie’s coming to my house to investigate me… I’m not meant to know that, of course, but then, I’m not an idiot. The problem is, I thought Jamie was a guy… She isn’t. She’s a woman; a beautiful, sexy woman… and I want her more than I’ve ever wanted anything. Only I don’t know what to do about that… I never have.
Once they get beyond their mutual mistrust, can Will and Jamie overcome their past insecurities and their present misunderstandings, to build a future together?
A dual POV story, with graphic sex scenes and adult language.
Finding Will is book three in the Escaping the Past series, but can be read as a stand-alone story, with no cliff-hanger and a guaranteed HEA.
Suzie writes steamy and contemporary romances, with the kind of book boyfriends every woman needs in her life.
When she’s not writing, she likes nothing more than to relax with a coffee, while thinking up new storylines, and to pretend that plate of crumbs had absolutely nothing to do with her. Nothing whatsoever.
She lives in wedded bliss with the only man she’s ever loved… and their crazy cat.
OMG I just adore Will and when we really see what he has suffered and the trauma that he endured all those years ago it makes his response to Grace (in book 1 when she and Matt told them what her husband did to her) when he kneeled before her. Jamie is such a strong but flawed woman based of the trauma she suffered and the damage her injury and her ex did to her and her confidence. Then bring these two broken but living people together and I thought they were beautiful together and hope we see more of their journey through Todd’s book. I will say though I absolutely adored Luke & Will’s relationship and although Luke talked about how much he loved his brother in his book, seeing it through Will’s perspective was so lovely and you can tell their brother bond was unbreakable. You must read these books in order or you may get a little lost when things come up from previous books. Let’s see what woman will capture Todd’s heart next.
Will is used to spending time alone especially given what he does for a living for the agency. When he comes to a dead end, his boss sends in Jamie to ‘help’. But he knows he’s being watched to see if he’s the mole. Turns out Jamie is actually a woman and they become close, Will is not the mole, so can they work together to figure it out and also trust each other?
Both have awful things that have happened to them, I felt like Will was on the spectrum at times especially not being able to read the others/Jamie. I love how close he is with his brother. This was probably my fav in the series
This story is so touching and heartfelt, it really makes you think that in this world things like this do happen. I’m so happy it ends with both of them finding true love and each day being open to trust, to have that faith and bond their love will endure anything in their paths, great readings and love this author, will continue reading her books because their so hard to put down.
Jamie is brought on to spy on Will and report him if she thinks he was the one who leaked information out. Spending time with him proves he is innocent. Jamie wants Will but hex holding back because of his past. Will his past make them not be together? Great read.
This is the third book in the series about close group of friends that are more family than their actual families. They have there for each other for years. Will is traumatized from his childhood. Will he learn how to open up and let someone get close to him? Luke has helped his brother so much since their mom killed herself. Can Luke help him navigate through a relationship challenges?
