Oof. I wanted to love this book. Granted, there were many helpful, inspiring things I derived, and I think that’s why I was drawn to it and kept reading. But I honestly think the first draft of this book was published. There were so many opportunities to go deeper with this material, but so much of it was glazed over with huge blanket statements derived from one or only a few accounts, “statistics” that weren’t referenced, poor descriptions of esoteric ideas, and weak examples.
Some glaring issues I had are:
- The author claims to know the percentages of “evolved” souls, as well as interplanetary (IP) souls, present on Earth. The sources of these numbers are not explained.
- The assumption that all IP souls are highly evolved, and that they all come from the same kinds of worlds, ones that operate “purely in a holistic, healthy way”.
- The concepts of “karma” and “dharma”, as used in the book, do not match with the Buddhist concepts they’re derived from.
- I still don’t understand the seven rays as explained or how they could apply well.
- Also, soul evolution is based on a ten-point scale? Really?
The redeeming feature for me was the accounts from the IP clients, and I think they are telling if, in fact, they weren’t altered or fabricated. It’s clear that the author is not an interplanetary soul (IP), and while she doesn’t claim to be one, the interpretations of the client accounts are largely repetitions of what the clients said and are sometimes incongruent with what the client said.
If you think you might be an IP soul, or know one, you might gain some insight and peace of mind. For that reason, it was worth it for me. However, it’s disappointing that the book was so underdeveloped and disorganized.

Fascinating! Can't put it down. If you ever felt this way, be happy that you're not alone!
Dr. Blackman shares many past life regressions to illustrate what it's like to be an interplanetary (IP) soul who has incarnated into a human body! Dr. Blackman also does between life regressions to illustrate how we pre-plan our life on Earth.
In chapter 9, page 192, I was glad to see some advice on spiritual practice for any soul: "Maintaining a spiritual practice is essential to remain in contact with our higher self while operating in the density of Earth energy. There are countless methods of spiritual practice. It's essential to use what works best for you, whether meditation, walking, writing, or focusing on a candle flame."

This book is another past life regression based book, with a twist. Focusing mostly on “Interplanetary souls.”
Written by a Dr of psychology. I love the aspect that it’s written by a Dr. They are usually skeptics being scientific based personalities. They are usually very articulate. However as a ufology nerd. I find the term “IP souls” and all the info given, seems to lack knowledge and substance on the Author’s part. From a spiritual perspective, this is a great book. Definitely insightful. Lot’s to learn here. The lack of knowledge on extraterrestrial races and culture seem to be a hinder. She refers to them as IP souls when in my opinion they are extraterrestrial. Her advice and narration is highly bothersome as it focuses more on her opinions of IP souls. I would’ve loved to hear more regressions and more aspects of the regression. This book only focuses on small passages of the regressions, the rest is filled with her opinions which again I find to be lacking with knowledge of extraterrestrials to begin with. The idea of the book is good. It was still enjoyable. I wouldn’t say it’s a page turner. It’s definitely an easy read nonetheless.

4 Stars. This was an interesting read about Interplanetary Souls (IP Souls) and their human lives today, their identification, their human conflicts and relationships. Take a journey with them as they care for and repair the unseen world around us.

This book covers some well-trod territory in terms of stories about people who believe they have been reincarnated. The twist here is that these souls are from other planets, usually having come to Earth to improve the planet and its people in some way.
The trouble is the stories are not told in a very compelling way, and, of course, since they are anecdotal, they can tend to be repetitive. A book for devotees of stories about past lives.

Your mind will be blown!
Dr. Backman is an incredibly gifted soul. So many insights in this one book. Seriously, if you ever had questions about how "eternity" operates, why, by whom, how do you fit in? Dive into this book! It will blow your mind!
