Something's missing in Las Calamas. And when it's found, it just doesn't look right. In fact, it looks wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. Not to mention disgusting, unwholesome and deadly. Something in Las Calamas is doing its darnedest to turn the city into its very own biological playground. It's science gone bad - very very bad! Caught in the web of this sinister force and its eery creations while still entangled in the mystery of the enigmatic and now actively hostile Curio Shop, Carson and his Gang of fledgling monster hunters quickly have their hands full. Mix in mysterious secrets, dire prophecies, agonizing career decisions, an arrest, a diet, a mounting body count, catastrophic romance fails, stitched horrors and a Ghost from Kiki's past and it's no wonder everything and everyone is driven right to the edge. And when it all goes crashing over, the only thing left will be broken, tangled, bloody... Parts!
I don't know when or where or how it happened - I've always just loved to write. Words, communication, language... they're all just, well, you know... good. Try as I might I could never shake it, so here I am, writing. It's funny how you can weasel it into just about every job - furniture deliveryman, professional tutor, youth minister, computer system admin - seems there's always an excuse to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard when you look for it hard enough. I started with short stories and stepped up to the roleplaying game "Horror Rules, the Simply Horrible Roleplaying Game," a truly fun and liberating project. And now, poof! Novels. Go figure. So I write what I like and I write who I am. I've said it once, I'll say it again - words are good.
