I applied to an HR Sr Analysts position with no HR experience or degree, though I’ve worked nearly 17 years in operations and safety. Managing safety programs are similar in the management of HR ( regulations, analysis reports, dept coordination, and auditing) but I saw a promotional opportunity in HR that aligned with my skill sets and I applied. After I applied I spoke with some friends that were Sr. Analysis and they mentioned I’d have to pass a placement test before the interviews and it would be based off the PHR/SPHR tests (generic for any HR placement). So I read up online and came across a recommendation on this book and disregarded all paid programs. I found that my local library had it available as an eBook and I read/studied it for about 10 hours on and off. There would of been noooooo way I would of passed the test if I haven’t read this book. It explains some pretty common sense when it comes to business (any good management staff would know) and what I didn’t know when reading the questions, I googled it to learn about that topic. Super helpful and I passed my test on the first try. Thanks for putting this book together and good luck to all still needing it.
