A story that holds you from the very beginning to the last page.It has everything you could possibly want, thrills, suspense and a very good love interest.I'll be reading more by this author.
Katie lives in a small town and was knocked up her senior year of high school by Reese, the wild child from the wrong side of the tracks. He leaves the very next day after their sexual encounter to peruse a career as a firefighter - specifically a hot shot. He returns because his whole Hot Shot crew was lost in a massive fire and he was the lone survivor.
After his being gone 7 years, he returns to the small town to escape the media and runs into Katie, who informs him of his new position as a father. He is surprised and ends up developing a loving relationship with Chrissy, his daughter who is six years old and extremely smart. But he rekindles a friendship with Katie, hoping it turns into more.
He is on his way out to take a new job in Reno when he comes up against another crisis that threatens his newfound family.
The story spoke of having faith in God, giving second chances to love, and how it's never to late to change as a person. The story was a fluff read. The character depth wasn't very deep, but it was a cute story. 3 stars.
A beautiful story of God’s Grace in our lives when we turn it over to Him. It’s really hard to write anything without revealing too much. I recommend it highly!
