A MOMMY FOR HIS DAUGHTER by author Amy Ruttan is a Harlequin Medical Romance series release for April 2018.

Dr. Derek Taylor is not very happy with the revolving doctors who come to his clinic as he felt that they just did their stints and go without really connecting with his patients or doing much.
So when Dr. Evelyn Saunders arrive, he was skeptical. But then he found her secret. That she was from the local community herself and for her it was like coming home. But would she stay when her rotation ends?

Would Derek let her walk away after spending passionate nights with her? And after his daughter had decided that Evie was her family?

A MOMMY FOR HIS DAUGHTER is a romance that would make a reader sigh with contentment. And reach for tissues when Derek’s daughter says that Evie is like her. Author Amy Ruttan brought out the emotions in this story that would touch your heart. And she did a wonderful job of bringing Evie and Derek together despite all the emotional baggage and past grief they carried. This story would enthrall a reader and keep her hooked until the very last page.

Highly recommended for all readers of medical romance.

This story is just beautiful it is much more than a hero finding a Mommy for his daughter, it is a trip back in time, to her home and for heroine Evie to come to terms with her past and empty herself of guilt and hero Derek also has to find himself and look to the future with someone who will bring joy to his and his daughter Mo’s world, and the setting I loved Alaska and the people and town of Wolf’s Harbor, this was a one sitting read for me.

Dr Evelyn Saunders is a surgeon and OB/GYN and has promised to help a friend and relieve her in Alaska for a short time but this is bringing back a world of guilt for Evie especially when she learns that she is to do a three months rotation at Wolf’s Harbor she has not been there since she was ten years old and there is a lot of hurt and guilt. Arriving she is shocked when she meets the town doctor Derek Taylor the instant spark shocks Evie and then meeting family she thought would be gone sends her feelings soaring, but when emergencies have them working closely Evie opens up.

Dr Derek Taylor has lived here for fifteen years he lost his wife in tragic circumstances and him and his five year old daughter are living a good life here, Mo and his patients mean everything to him and he is always disappointed when the relief doctors do their time and leave he is doing all he can to get a hospital built here. Derek is surprised at the feelings that spark when he first meets the beautiful Dr Saunders he has not felt anything like this for a long time is it time to move on?

MS Ruttan has written a story that moved me very much it is magical, moving and emotional as we get to know Evie and Derek and their pasts that need to be talked about and left to rest and move onto a future that will be filled with love happiness and family. Seeing Evie meet up with the family that she loved and thought lost years before was so very moving and Derek see the future that he always wanted was just awesome. This is a medical romance that ticks all of the boxes for a fabulous story I loved this it, this is one that I highly recommend, thank you MS Ruttan.

Dazzling writing! Amy Ruttan always has a way with words that melts a story into our heart with ease, but she's outdone herself with A MOMMY FOR HIS DAUGHTER! Evelyn makes a surprise journey home plagued by bittersweet memories along the way. When she meets Derek and his precious little girl, she can't help but be taken by them. Each have their own past that haunts them and keeps them holding themselves back from life ... but in this powerful story, we get to watch them overcome it all!

When Dr. Evelyn Saunders agrees to take a temporary posting to fill in for a friend, she has no idea it's taking her back to the hometown she was torn away from all those years ago. Orphaned young, she left Wolfs Harbor, Alaska to live on the mainland, but the second she's back, memories of home overcome her. She needs to get in and get out and not fall victim to remembering the good times that can never be again!

Dr. Derek Taylor isn't thrilled to see yet another temporary Doc pass through his town, but a few days of working with Evelyn show him that she's a little different than the norm. His little girl Monica is taken with her as well ... and based on the life and loss they've lived in her short life, that's not to be taken lightly!

A Mommy for his daughter by Amy Ruttan
Dr. Evelyn Saunders was born and started out in Wolf’s Harbor of Alaska but after her father was killed she was forced to go live with her father’s mother. She was already feeling guilty as she felt she had caused his death. If only she hadn’t been unhappy about her father going to see someone else maybe he would still be alive.
GP Derek Taylor raised his daughter after her mother died with complications with the birth along with insufficient medical places in their area. Besides working he has definitely put his daughter first in his life.
Both have a lot of things in their past and they need to get past that. Can they bring themselves to the point where they need each other and become a couple?
Amy Ruttan is one of my favorite authors and this story was not a disappointment.

Dr. Evelyn Saunders helps a friend by taking a temporary post in Alaska, knowing it will be difficult as it holds so many memories for her. She left Wolf's harbor years ago never planning on returning, so the feelings she gets truly challenge her. Then she meets Derek who isn't thrilled with her arrival as he wants someone that will stay long term. She is immediately enamored with his daughter and feelings long suppressed surface. Can she really have some happiness in her life besides her job. Both have pasts that haunt them but Ms. Ruttan shows them that there is light at the end of every tunnel. Wonderfully moving story.

"A Mommy for His Daughter" by Amy Ruttan is a medical romance and possibly one of the most intriguing books that I've read this year. Dr. Evelyn Sauders is back in Wolf's Hollow, Alaska to fill in for a friend at the clinic as their OB/GYN. She has a very painful past in this town that she hides from GP Derek Taylor. Her family is more than thrilled that she is back, and Evie see's how they need her in this town, but she needs to face her demons. Derek has his own past to deal with as he tries to raise his daughter as a single Dad due to the death of his wife during childbirth. They find a way to slowly build a trust and mend their hearts and past.

A Mommy for His Daughter by Amy Ruttan is a Harlequin Medical Romance that is beautiful in both writing, story and location. All three put together equal another Amy Ruttan winner which held me captive right until the end.

I'm not sure I've read a book from this genre based in Alaska but the stunning writing created a place that is unforgettable and makes you feel like you want to be there. The characters were charming and I liked how they meshed together and the journey they were on. I loved the dialogue and the background story and the way it all came together.

I just love Amy's writing and am constantly blown away by it. Thank you Amy!

I thought this book dealt well with the topic of childhood bereavement. Also it was the first Medical I've come across where the woman is more qualified than the man...hurray! (I'm not saying they should all be like that, but there needs to be some balance). I liked the writing and the characters were convincing. Also loved the fact that the heroine could stand up for herself and didn't need a man to do it for her. Would recommend this book to anyone who likes medicals.
