A good book, with easy to follow exercises, then whole programs to follow. This book is great for the lock down as a most of these exercises can be done at home with some equipment is necessary like kettlebells, medicine balls, and dumbbells. The only thing most people might find difficult to get is a heavy bag.

This is one of thing that does annoy me on books or movies. Having someones name on it to sell more copies. I hate that. The book has Cat Zingano's name on it. This is not an autobiography but a workout book, but only part the differentiate Cat from the other MMA fighter/models in this book is in the foreword and introduction. The fighter/models for this book are all from the Alliance gym roster.

The format of the book is big glossy pictures spread over 2 pages each. The steps to carrying out the excercies are in short text. This would be great, but in a couple of places the have black text on a dark grey background, with is really hard to read. Of course once you know how to do the exercise you will not have to keep reading it. Usually with a variation to make things harder as you progress.

The biggest strength of this book is it is easy to follow. When you get to the program stage, the exercise are listed, with the page numbers on them for easy reference. This is a very good easy to use book for home training to improve fitness and physique.

I will be honest I am not much for watching MMA fighting but I am about finding a new workout. This is a lot of strength training and focuses mainly on the upper body and full body movements. I didn't find the program intimidating.

I think anyone who has never thought of this type of workout would find beneficial or can be added to change up anyone normal fitness routine. The pictures in the book are of real MMA fights which helps to give women real body positive images.

Your body will hurt but the more you do it the less pain you feel. The diet tips might not be forever but they are helpful for those wanting to build more muscles.

I received this book, for free, in exchange for an honest review.

This book contains many interesting exercises that I could see adding into my program.
The exercises seem to be well described, but they don't have enough illustration for my liking.
Exercises average around two pictures each which makes it hard to know how to safely execute an exercise.

If you know me, you know I love learning and adding different routines into my workout schedule. I love seeing how other trainers design their programs and their reasoning behind the design. This being said, Cat includes training programs in the back of the book from beginner to advanced. Fun stuff!

Thank you to Netgalley, Cat Zingano, and Alpha Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am super excited to try the workouts in this book. I love strength training and am always looking for great workouts for women incorporating strength-training. Once my ankle heals, this is a program that I'll be trying out. No doubt about it. With helpful tips & tricks, information that isn't overwhelming, and models that are actually MMA fighters, I feel confident that the Cat Zingano knows exactly what she's talking about.
