My name is Ivory Wilson. I am a hopeful author and I believe that my story would be of interest to readers.

While my base of operations for the past 11 years has been the corner of 7th and E Streets NW in Washington , DC, I have recently been trying to “get discovered” in NYC.

So here is some of my story from Texas to cowboy to pimp to jail to DC and Street Sense and a large community of supporters. At the age of 15, in Beaumont, Texas, I began breaking wild horses with my daddy, his name was also Ivory Wilson. He was a rodeo rider in the black rodeos down in southeast Texas. As the age of 16, I began riding bulls o the ranch and then went on to ride in the local black rodeos. At the age of 17, I joined the Army to shop out to Nam. At that time I was sent to Fort Polk in Louisiana. There they announced that no more men would be sent to Nam. I joined so I could be like Audie Murphy in famous westerns and war movies of the time. I became one of the few men to get the nation defense metal EXPERT rifleman. When I shopped out to Fort Riley in Kansas, little did I know that my life was about to change. My heroes were cowboys and I had been pretty insulated my whole life, until Kansas, where I fell in the wrong crowd. I had never seen a pimp before, never knew who or what that was. But in Kansas bad news seemed to find me. My "friends" and the clamoring of a war-twisted town meant that I was shortly introduced to a pimp. That night change my young life for the worst.

I am much older, wiser, and still as engaged in life as ever and I would like to share my stories with you and let you see my gift of storytelling and my dreams for my future work in the community. I’ve written a short story childrens book title Dreams wonders and Travels. Received a letter from the White House Michelle OBAMA the Family. Received a big endorsement letter from a 5th grade charter school teacher.
