Delvon Johnson brings the unforgettable characters of "Mirror, Mirror" to spellbinding life in this intriguing foray into New York City's fast-paced fashion world. Dwight and his best friend Issiah start a fashion consulting firm to fulfill their dreams, but they need a polished PR professional to get them to the next level. They recruit Joan Marks, an industry mogul with a peerless shoe game. Little do the young entrepreneurs know, however, that Joan will use her stiletto heels to crush anyone who impedes her climb to the top. Along the way, Dwight despairs of ever finding the right man to love, but remains focused on his goals. Joan, too, seeks love in her life, but gets a rude awakening when things don't quite unfold as she plans. Delvon weaves a fine tapestry of life in the fashion world, with moments both lighthearted and poignant, using his own insider's knowledge to give the book its gritty realism.

Later, we discover a different perspective on the industry, as seen through the eyes of Delvon's aspiring model, Kera Powers, who is on a mission to take the runway by storm. When Kera has her own "me too" moment, she enlists the help of the streetwise Joan Marks to turn the tables on a big shot who tries to use her for his own selfish means. Joan finally finds love, but her heartstrings pull her to places she never anticipated. Dwight and Issaiah, meanwhile, continue building their empire. Will Dwight connect with his true love? Delvon puts it all together in this page-turning read that tells us something about who to love first, and how to overcome the obstacles life puts in your way. I think it's a delightful bit of storytelling, with just the right dash of style and glamour!
