There were three brutal murders at Acadia, so as the Law Enforcement Ranger of the park, I should be on the case. Because a crazed bear shifter is at fault, the possible exposure of our clan—and shifters everywhere—is on the line if this news goes public, but thanks to government politics, the head of the park was forced to call in an FBI agent to investigate the deaths.

Bianca Gianni is her name, and this fiesty little thing is all business—more importantly, all human. If she could get off her high horse and stop barking orders for a moment, maybe I could grow to like her, even if she is stepping on my toes. Hell, with curves like hers, we could have a lot of fun.

Getting on her good side isn't going to be easy, but that’s exactly what I need to do to make sure our kind isn't thrown into the limelight.

Will I be able to keep her from the truth, or will this firecracker figure it out on her own, leaving on the next helicopter to expose us to the feds?

With a little luck, maybe I can have my cake and eat it, too.

An enjoyable read with Shifters and mates and trouble around every corner. The pages kept turning because I wanted to know what happened.

Keeping a secret has never been so big.

Enjoy!

On the outskirts of Maine’s Acadia National Park, Ranger Trent Bailey found the ravaged body of TV personality Danielle Peterson who had a show on Maine’s Travel Channel. He reached out with his mind to tell Sophia, a co-worker, to come quickly. He normally would not have hiked in this direction, but he wanted to see the ocean today. The death might have been assumed to be a slip and fall on the rocky beach, but her body was covered in lacerations and punctures, most likely from a bear. Was it one of their shifter community? Because the victim was a celebrity, the alpha, Knox, wanted the FBI notified – being on federal land, they had no other choice.

Blanca Gianni and her team landed and left the helicopter to meet the park rangers. She noticed the attitude coming from Trent. They filled her in on the details, and Trent went off to investigate on his own. They hoped to get the shifter locked away out of sight before the FBI caught him. But as Trent searched the woods, he found two more bodies with the same wounds all over them. A tripod, camera, and mic were nearby, so this was the rest of Danielle’s film crew. Trent followed the trail and found the shifter, covered with his victim’s blood and trying to catch some fish to eat! Trent told him to shift back so he could question him. But the bear attacked instead. Trent’s bear was powerful and he quickly subdued the other bear. He locked him up in holding and reported to his Alpha.

Trent was watching the suspect when he suddenly went into a rage and parts of his body shifted momentarily, as if he couldn’t hold his human form. Trent and Knox decided to have Ramon come in and take blood samples. The shifter’s blood, under the microscope, showed something black swallowing the red blood cells whole! Ramon had never seen anything like it. They would have to find out if this presented a danger to the rest of the shifter clan! The FBI was going to take the prisoner back with them in the morning – but with this anomaly, that was now out of the question. How would they get Blanca to leave the prisoner with them? How would they keep her from finding out that they were all shifters? And just how dangerous was whatever had infected the prisoner? Where did it come from?

This was a well-written, exciting story. The fast pacing kept the reader fully focused on the action. The twists and turns made the suspense even more intense! The strong characters were very convincing as they struggled with doing the right thing even if they had to sometimes back off or bend the rules. I definitely recommend this one. Grab your copy and find out how all of this will come together! I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review; needless to say, I also bought my own copy for my permanent library!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I discovered Meg Ripley when I read Knox, the alpha of the clan of bear shifters and I loved that story- so entertaining and very well written. Plus I love bear shifters, I love a mystery. I love romance and in this book I get all three. So I know that I'm off to a great start with this story. Trent is the park ranger and bear shifter and he finds the dead body of a minor tv celebrity in the part that looked as if she had been mutilated by a bears claws, He got word to his alpha via Sophie and was told the FBI needed to be called in but to try and track down the shifter that did it. They knew that it wasn't one of them. Trent followed the paw prints and came across two more dead bodies, the camera crew plus cameras etc. Further on he finds the shifter involved but this is where a puzzling mystery starts. We also get to meet the tough, feisty FBI agent, Blanca Gianni, who notices Trent's obvious distrust of her and her team but she always gets a case solved and she's not going to let him spoil her unblemished record. What was wrong with the shifter?? Were there others like him? Could it effect them? And what's Trent going to do about that FBI agent who is driving him and his bear crazy with lust? beautifully written by Meg with fabulous characters and a storyline that includes the suspense just right. She had my full attention at page one and it continued to the very end. Whilst this is book two of a series, you can easily read and understand it as a standalone book too. A thoroughly entertaining story that I will be re-reading.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Trent is the enforcer for the Acadia pack and the park law enforcement. One day while walking in the park, he discovers a dead body of a famous travel show star. It is plain to him that the body was attacked by a rogue bear shifter. The alpha knows with such a well known victim the human authorities have to be called in. Trent is not happy about having the feds called in. When agent Blanca and her two men show up, Trent is very rude to her. However some comment by her help him with the case. She reminds him to search and track footprints. Blanca also mention that the victim's camera crew maybe out there. Trent follows her advice and finds the 2 dead bodies of her camera crew and a blood trail that leads him to the rogue shifter. However this rogue shifter is unlike any shifter any of them have come across. He seems totally lost to his bear.
Blanca is enjoying her trip to Acadia and is really happy to have the case almost wound up. Then she goes to interrogate the suspect and she catches him changing into a bear. Trent explains to her about shifters and her whole world changes. Does she tell her boss what she knows or should keep it to her self.
This is a good book but the romance is very quick I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I love Meg Ripley's writing, so I was excited to review this book. It did not disappoint. Murder in Acadia! Trent balked at bringing in the FBI, especially when he felt it was a shifter that killed the human celebrity. But Knox, the Alpha, said they were on Federal lands and because the victim was human they HAD to bring in the FBI. Trent had difficulty being nice to agent Blanca Gianni from the moment she arrived. And she was suspicious of him more than of the others because he was so aloof. Trent finds the suspected murderer of now 3 humans and it's even worse than the Acadia shifters thought! There's something weird about this rogue, something none of them have ever witnessed. They can't let the FBI remove him from Acadia, or even spend any time alone with him without revealing his unusual characteristics. In this shifter world, humans don't know shifters exist. So what happens if they find out???? Exciting book. Drama, tension, fear of an unknown 'virus', blooming love. This book has it all. And not all questions answered so we need next book pronto!!

OK story

A light and a little steamy bear shifter romance. Trent is the beta in the clan. The law enforcement ranger, who takes his job seriously. When a celebrity is killed in the park by a rogue bear shifter, Knox has no choice but to call in the FBI.
Agent Blanca Gianni is young but is very good at her job. Her narration reminded me of the 50's Dragnet series. She is sent to Acacia to investigate the death of a celebrity inside the park. She immediately butt heads with Trent.
Trent's clan has to catch the rogue werebear, while keeping Agent Gianni from discovering the truth.
The characters just didn't click for me. I didn't feel the chemistry between Trent and Blanca, that I did with Knox and Hannah. The story fell flat as a light mystery, suspense. The investigation you have two suspend some belief on. The reason for the rogues behavior was an afterthought.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Blanca is a FBI agent sent to Arcadia to investigate the murder of a well known television personality. Trent was the security manager of the park and he was not very happy handing over the investigation to the FBI. Sparks flew between the two of them but when two more victims were found they realised they would have to work together. I enjoyed reading this book and got involved in the dialogue between the two main characters but the story feels like it has missed a couple of chapters. Trent is a bear shifter and the murderer was a shifter infected with a deadly virus but you don't find out about what happens by the end of the book, either the virus not needed in the storyline at all or you need to leave the end as a cliff hanger which doesn't gel with the current ending.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was about the bear shifter Trent and when he finds the dead body of a TV host on the beach, it is obvious the fault of a bear. Trent contacts Knox, the alpha of the clan, and he says to contact the FBI because the victim was famous. Bianca is the FBI agent sent in investigate and she is suspicious of everyone she meets. When Bianca first meets Trent, she thinks he is a jerk because he is rude and she thinks he doesn't want her there to take over the case. Knox asks Trent to flirt with Bianca so they can stall to find out if the killer is human or a bear. This was a good story, I liked Trent and thought he was a little closed off but Bianca broke through and saw he was a good guy. Good one.

Ok I normally don't read shifter romances si this was quite different for me. This story was good. Trent is a bear shifter that is a ranger. There was some murders in their park one being a famous person, they couldn't sweep it under the rug.

So they contacted the FBI. Blanca is a detective for the FBI being a female she has to work harder. She loves her job and once her and Trent meet these two instantly dislike each other, there is an attraction, but neither wants to go there until one day when they put all feelings aside and share a earth shattering kiss. What will Blanca do when she finds out the real truth about bear shifters and that Trent is one.

This is another story of the Arcadia Rangers. I had already read Knox and really enjoyed that book. Now, lookng forward to another good story, I was not disappointed.
This time the Acadia bears are facing a triple homicide and of a celebrity. For that reason they cannot work on the case on their own but have to call in the FBI. An agent Gianni arrives, a no-nonsense petite woman, trying to figure out what is going on. While the romance between Agent Gianni and Ranger Trent blossoms, they try to find out what happened- and more importantly why.
The why remains partly open at the end and I hope to find out more in the next book of the Werebears of Acadia.

Well written book with great storyline and plot.

I love their journey towards their HEA. There is murder, drama, mystery, passion, emotions, hot scenes, twists and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. The twists makes this story different that expected. Instant attraction. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Like that it has an epilogue. A short but worth the read story.

I like the main characters and how they are described and how they develop through the story. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter. The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

Okay

Blanca the agent that was sent from the FBI and Trent the law enforcement in the park, did not like each other at the beginning. As the book progressed things changed. They had to work together to find out why three people were killed by a shifter.
The book was okay, but I had questions that didn't get answered. Some things just seemed a little off. Spoiler ahead;

For example: why did no one check the film from the camera crew for evidence. It was stated that they were probably filming because Daniella was holding the microphone. Or... Did they kill the suspect or find a cure? Where did he become contaminated?
Just small stuff like this bugged me. The overall book was okay to read if you don't sweat the small stuff.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I felt like this book was all over the place. Blanca was a by the rules agent, yet she had no issue lying to her boss. She hated Trent, but was flirting with him the next day. Trent had no social skills, but was joking around with her after doing nothing but glaring at her the day before. Don’t even get me started on the stupid decisions the alpha makes. It was just a rushed, hot mess that I had to force myself to finish reading. I hate leaving negative reviews when I know the author works hard to write a story, but this one certainly needs help.

I loved the story! We are reintroduced to Ranger Knox and Hannah, but we also meet Trent. Knox,Trent and Sophie are bears who are park rangers. Trent is out for a walk when he stumbles upon a body, not just any body but the body of a well know tv personality. Tensions mount as Knox makes the decision to call in the FBI due to the identity of the deceased. When the FBI arrives, we meet Blanca the agent who is sent to investigate. There is tension between her and Trent. Just as things start to settle into a calm all calamity breaks loose.
Great story and read!

FBI Agent Blanca, is sent to Arcadia, to investigate the murder of celebrity television star. Trent, a bear shifter, and head security at the park, can't stand the fact that Blanca is there to take over his case. Both clash, and sparks fly when their lips meet, in a breath taking kiss. Two more people are found dead, and they are forced to work together to catch the killer. Will they be able to catch the shifter killer, whose infected with a unknown virus, or not. Read and find out.

Loved the banter, between Blanca and Trent, and can't wait to read the next book!

This story centers around Ranger Trent and a mysterous shifter that has committed murder on the park grounds. Due to the fame of one of the victims the FBI is called in and Agent Bianca Gianni comes into the picture. Ordered to distract the agent Trent does so but realizes that he likes her and she might mean more to him than just a person getting in his way.
I liked how the story developed. I liked the characters and the backgrounds they were given. I recommend this read and can say that you don't need to read the first book in the series as it is a true stand alone.

Trent and Blanca are brought together by a murder. He is not happy to have the FBI investigating when there are shifters involved. She doesn't appreciate his attitude. The desire that develops surprise them both.

I enjoyed the story. It took some time to buildup and to really get into the story and bond with the characters but I got there are the story continued. There is a good mix of action and romance. The epilogue wraps up most of the story pretty well.

Ranger Trent had kind of a slow build as far as Trent and Blanca's relationship. The first half of the book is mostly working on the mystery situation and character development. The second half is more about the relationship and closing up the investigation. Though there is a little slower build to the story than I usually prefer, the writing and plot development were enough to keep me hooked to the end. Overall, good writing, and likable characters and some steamy scenes make this worth reading.

Trent and Blanca have a rocky start. She is FBI and is called in because a celebrity is murdered in the reserve. He resents the fact that she has been brought in and is stepping on his toes. After she sees what she shouldn’t, she runs away for a few days. Can she accept this new reality or not?
I loved how the two main characters reacted to each other and dealt with a possible catastrophe to the bear shifter community. My only complaint is the after-thought resolution regarding the major incident, which why I awarded 4 ½ stars.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The beautiful surroundings of Acadia National Park becomes a crime scene, when a celebrity is murdered. Convinced the killing has been committed by a bear, Trent is none to happy when his Alpha, Knox alerts the FBI. Blanca Gianni is brought in to investigate what happened. The two get off to a bad start, with a definite clash of personalities. Grudgingly they realise working together would be advantageous to solving the mystery. The slow burn nature of their relationship made for a pleasant read.

Return to Acadia..

Trent is not happy. A murder has brought the FBI to Acadia. At least his bear likes the lead agent. Blanca has come to Acadia to solve a murder not fall in love with the area or a hot Ranger. But, something is seriously wrong with the suspect. What will Blanca do when she finds out the secrets of Acadia? This is a great second book to the series. Will the cause of the mystery virus be found in the next book? Guess we will have to wait and see.

They catch the killer, but he has something wrong with him and losses his ability to control his shits. Bianca sees a part shift and Trent has to tell her about shifters. There is also chemistry between Bianca and Trent but knowing his secret she has to decide if she will tell her boss.

Ranger Trent (Shifter Nation: Werebears Of Acadia Book 2) by Meg Ripley is a hot paranormal shifter romance story. There were three brutal murders at Acadia. Usually, Ranger Trent Bailey and the clan take care of things, but a well-known TV personality Danielle Peterson's ravaged body found. The FBI was called in. Bianca Gianni is in charge of the FBI investigation. They might dislike each other but they also feel the chemistry. Sparks fly between them and they can't keep their hands to themselves. Until she finds out his secret. I truly enjoyed and recommend it!

This is book 2 in the Werebears of Acadia series, and although it can easily be read as a standalone book, why would you want to? Both book 1 (Knox) and this book (Trent) are amazing reads that you won't want to miss!

Full of intrigue, danger and suspense there is also enough heat and passion to burn down the all the trees in the Acadia National Park! Strong characters, lots of emotion, and a well written story that will have you in it's grip from beginning to end.

I really enjoyed this next book in the series. There is a murder that cannot be hidden even though they need their secrecy so they have to contact the FBI. Trent is a little hard at first because he doesn't want them there and sticking their nose into this murder. Blanca is in love with the area from first site. I enjoyed the story line and hope it is continued in the next book. It was very interesting. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Trent Bailey is a rough around the edges law enforcement ranger with a pile of murdered bodies on his hands... Cue Blanca Gianni an FBI agent tasked with solving the murder and bringing in the suspect if found. Another good read by Meg Ripley. Loved the chemistry between Blanca and Trent. The mystery of the crazed/rabid bear shifter combined with the first gruff, then steamy interaction between Trent and Blanca made for an excellent continuation in the series.

I have read several paranormal/Shifter romance novels. But I do not think I have read one that I wanted to get to the end so quickly. It was a delight to read. I loved the character, Trent. I would love to see more books from the bear shifters of Arcadia. I really enjoyed the different relationship dynamics in the book.
