The premise sounds like the cheesiest thing in existence, I know, I know, but it's Kazune Kawahara and so I absolutely had to give it a try. One of the best decisions in my life, this was a delightful first volume. <3 And like, not cheesy? Just HOW. But hey, your standards of cheesiness might be different.

So far it's only translated in german and french, I think, but I hope it gets translated in english at some point, so I can go and recommend it to anyone willing to listen.

4.5/5 stars, but rounded up, bc I literally read it in an hour last night and I had reading slump for a while, so.

The star is for the male lead because the rest of the manga is boring and/or ridiculous. The heroine wants a boyfriend so she can kiss him during New Year's Eve. That's all the motivation she has and why she frantically wants to find a boy - any boy - to be her boyfriend. And yeah, I get it, at that age people seek attention and approval but her motivations make no sense and because this is all of her chatacterisation she is superficial, vapid and one-dimensional. Paper is thicker than her personality.
She's also incredibly attractive and somehow no boy is interested in her.
Okay.

The dude reminds me so much of Kuro from Haikyuu that I'm convinced he was actually inspired by that character and this is a self-insert douji. Which is not bad, I'm just giving my observations.

I might have given this two stars - three on a very generous day - if not for the fact that the heroine laments the fact that she wasn't publicly groped by strangers during an outside event. Let that sink: she was SAD strangers HAD NOT sexually assaulted her.

Un shojo commençant par "Moi c'est Machine, je rentre au lycée ! Je suis une fille !" et qui continue par "Mon rêve depuis que je suis toute petite c'est d'assister au feu d'artifice avec mon petit ami !" n'annonçait clairement rien de bon. Ajoutez à cela un gars qui a une tête chelou 24h/24 et vous avez du mal à finir le premier tome XD

Was soll ich zu dem Buch nur sagen...
1. Würde ich mir wünschen, dass die Charaktere einfach mal ihren Mund halten, da die Dialogtexte oft so unsinnig, dumm und irrelevant sind.
2. Warum errinnert mich der Zeichenstil von dem Kerl IMMER an den Typ aus Killing Stalking.

Eigentlich klang der Klappentext recht gut aber die Story bewegt sich auf Twilight und After Passion Niveau...

Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich etwas andere Erwartungen im Vorfeld hatte, trotzdem habe ich mich während des Lesens sehr amüsiert. Der männliche Hauptcharakter Naoya hat es sich nicht nehmen lassen, Nonoka wegen ihrer Besessenheit, unbedingt einen Freund finden zu wollen, aufzuziehen. Auch sonst war er immer erfrischend ehrlich und hat kein Blatt vor den Mund genommen. Er war aber auch stellenweise richtig süß! Nonoka war mir ebenfalls sympathisch. Sie ist zwar ein wenig naiv und ging mir hier und da auch ein wenig auf die Nerven, da es mit ihrem auf Biegen und Brechen einen Freund finden bzw. haben zu wollen, echt übertreibt. Ich konnte es ihr aber auch nicht wirklich übel nehmen, da ich etwas vom Denken meines 16 Jährigen Ich's in ihr wiedererkannt habe.
Ich hoffe trotzdem, dass in den nächsten Bänden eine gewisse Entwicklung bei ihr zu sehen sein wird!

J'ai profité de #RESTECHEZTOIAVECUNMANGA, dont les mangas de chez Kana sont toujours accessibles, pour lire So charming.
Dans So charming on commence la lecture par la découverte d'une adolescente qui a un rêve, celui d'avoir un petit ami coûte que coûte, pour pouvoir voir les illuminations de Noël avec lui, parce qu'elle trouve ça si beau. Mais aussi surprenant que ça puisse être Nonoka, bien que très fleur bleue, ne fait pas vraiment grand-chose pour avoir un copain. Elle va rencontrer Kiriyama, un garçon de son lycée qui lui dit dès leur première rencontre qu'elle n'aura jamais de copain si elle continue.

Nanako je t'aimeeeeee

Je me souviens que je lisais ce manga au collège et que je m'identifiais énormément à Nanako (beaucoup moins maintenant mais je l'adore toujours autant)

J'adore ce manga parce que il est réaliste dans le sens où il met en avant une jeune fille amoureuse de l'amour et qui ne le cache pas! Et ce que j'adore c'est que l'entourage de Nanako la soutient et ne lui dit pas que c'est ridicule

Naoya est incroyable, c'est un homme capable!!!

J'adore toujours autant le style graphique qui est "so charming"!

La couverture donnait envie mais les personnages auront eu ma peau. L'héroïne est beaucoup trop naïve pour son âge, c'est insupportable. Quant à Kiriyama, il ne laisse rien transparaître de ses émotions et a des traits pas très jolis, ce qui ne le rend pas du tout attachant. L'histoire, elle, manque de profondeur et d'originalité. La suite sera sans moi.

Encore un coup de "c'est très classique mais ça fonctionne bien" ^^ les héros sont très mignons, j'adore comment il se moque gentiment d'elle, et il rigole / ricane tout le temps... j'attendais ce premier tome avec impatience et je ne suis pas déçue, c'est vraiment un début très sympathique !

再読。
全然覚えてなかったが読み進めるうちに、「そうだった桐山って読めない感じや顔の感じが蛇っぽいのに(そして他の漫画だったら悪役になりそうな面)、かなり真っ直ぐな良いやつなんだった」と思い出した。
ある意味登場人物たち皆素直でいい。恋愛脳の主人公でさえ。
