Haven't read the first two books wasn't an issue. I was able to jump right in and follow along, as it is discussed in the first couple of chapters what is happening. If you're taking your kids to Acadia National Park, this book should get them interested in it. Jeff Alt tells the history of the park in this book through a fun adventure story. Ages 7-11.
This was actually a pretty fun book! Lots of adventure, mysteries and info about the area Bubba Jones and his sister Hug-a-Bug visit as they time travel around! This is a series, but each seems to be read as a standalone. Kids 3rd grad to maybe 7th will enjoy the stories! I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for a fair review.
A fun, quick book. Having just visited Acadia, I really enjoyed all of the facts and wish I had read it before. It was very well researched. A lot of fun and I look forward to reading the first two books.
