➳These are short stories that will have your heart wrapped around with so much tender love and passion, but also have you wanting more steamy romance all in one bundle…

➳So Much More by J. Daniels

➳Four love stories that we know of, and now add a fifth one because ladies and gentlemen, Nolan is going to steal your heart and break many more in his way. All the beautiful BAMA boys are back, ready to conquer and enamor the hearts of those who read about them. Their partners in crime are there by their sides and hell, they are all just absolutely perfect! Obviously we know from the previous books in the BAMA series the situations that each character has engulfed themselves in. Ben with Mia, moving forward with a family of two little precious boys after the former, heart stopping news about her “sickness.” Tessa and Luke trying very hard to start a family, still with a love that can burn almost anything. Reed and Beth getting it on in a supply closet that is left suspicious afterwards… yeah, you read that right! Kinky s*** happens in these novellas. And of course we cannot forget about the newly opened couple CJ and Riley with their “honeymoon” phase and love that can conquer so many.

➳Overall, this is an anthology that J. Daniels has not only brought to sooth the angst of her readers for more BAMA boys, but she is also giving snippets of maybe future books in regards to other characters in this series **COUGH COUGH- grown up Nolan- COUGH COUGH** I enjoyed every word in this anthology, and I am so glad I read it because now I really want more BAMA boys!

➳If you want to catch up on the Alabama Series by J. Daniels, here are all the books in the series that can be read in order (just in case of spoilers for those who don’t read them in order), plus her new upcoming and sixth installment in the series, coming soon:
Where I Belong (#1)All I Want (#2)When I Fall (#3)Where We Belong (#4)What I Need (#5)Say I’m Your (#6)

➳Getting Down by Helena Hunting

➳Of course, one can never get enough of Bane and Ruby from Shacking Up, and honestly, how can one? They are both two unique characters that I wish I could actually meet in person. They both not only have charisma, but also so much spark that I seriously just want to become their third wheeler, JUST to witness the crazy stuff these two do together. Helena Hunting never seems to amaze me more than what she currently has. She not only brings a new story to the table, and introduces the gentleman that will steal the heart of Amie, but she also gives us steamy, and wonderfully written intimate scenes from Ruby and Bane that I was missing so much. To go into details about this novella, is juts not possible without any spoilers.

➳Expect more to come because Helena is not done with either Ruby and Bane, and also with Amie’s story, coming this year! I am honestly excited after reading this anthology because I can definitely see the spark between Amie and her “finance” **wink wink** Overall, I enjoyed this part of the anthology by Helena Hunting, as she prepares her readers for her next, upcoming masterpieces!

➳This is not a series, they are standalone books, in which should be read in order to understand the background of the previous characters. Though they can be read on their own, it is highly recommended reading them all.

GETTING DOWN by HELENA HUNTING

I’ve shared the size of Bane’s cock with her. I’ve mentioned my new religion: the Church of Bane Cock. I’ve written sonnets about how beautiful it is. Not really, but I’ve made up a couple of limericks.

Helena Hunting is one of the authors that is ranked HIGH on my favorites list. I love her brand of humor and a number of her cocky and sexy as hell Heroes have stolen my heart. When I found out she would be writing a Halloween themed novella for the characters from SHACKING UP, I knew I had to get my hands on this book. I’m not a huge fan of anthologies but there was no way I could pass up on getting more of sexy Bane and vivacious Ruby!! I loved this couple and their story so much. To be able to spend a little more time with them was a sweet Halloween treat.

The story focuses equally on the sexy hijinks of Bane and Ruby, and also on the troubling relationship between Amie and her fiancé Armstrong. The timeline seems to be around several months after Ruby moves into Bane’s condo permanently. Their relationship is still somewhat new and these two have an insanely insatiable sexual appetite for each other. Bane and Ruby can’t seem to get enough of each other. We get to see a vulnerable side to Bane. The fact that their careers have them working on opposite schedules means that they don’t get to spend a lot of quality time together and there are moments when Bane is jealous of the attention that Amie and even his family get from Ruby. These two are perfect for each other because Ruby never gets annoyed with Bane’s jealous streaks. She is understanding and does whatever she can to show Bane just how much he means to her.

While Amie is incredibly happy for her best friend she’s also jealous over Ruby’s and Bane’s relationship. Amie’s been dealing with an enormous amount of stress over the planning of her upcoming wedding. She’s also upset that no matter how hard she tries to please her soon to be mother-in-law, the woman seems to dislike her for no apparent reason. Ruby has noticed that Amie has lost the special spark in her since she got together with Armstrong. She used to be rebellious and now she’s become a shell of the woman she used to be. Amie knows that her friends don’t approve of her relationship with Armstrong and deep down she knows that she will be making a big mistake if she goes through with the marriage. There’s no spark between them like there is with Bane and Ruby. Their sex life is practically non-existent and utterly bland when they actually do have sex.

Ruby and Amie wind up being in charge of planning a huge Halloween gala and fundraiser that Bane and Armstrong’s corporations will sponsor. The theme of the ball is “famous couples – real or fictional”. Bane and Ruby go as Batman and Catwoman and an unforeseen costume malfunction will be cause for some truly hilarious moments. Amie ends up going as Cinderella without her Prince since a business trip prevented Armstrong from attending. This is quite fortunate because it’s at the gala that we get to see Lex, Bane’s older brother, and Amie interact. There’s definitely an attraction brewing between them and we learn something about how and when they first met. It sheds some light on what could be the cause of animosity between Lex and Armstrong. I’m already putting the pieces of this puzzle together.

Lex is just as sexy and charismatic as his younger brother and I just know that he’s the right guy for Amie. He’s going to be the one to bring back Anarchy Amie and he’ll treasure her for the woman she truly is. I don’t even know how I am going to be able to wait for HOOKING UP to be released. Getting just this little tease of how off the charts hot this couple’s chemistry is going to be has me dying from the anticipation!!

ALABAMA SUMMER Series by J. DANIELS

In J. Daniels’ portion of the anthology, she unites us with all of the couples from her ALABAMA SUMMER series. It’s Halloween and some of the couples have some life altering changes coming their way. There are some tender moments, heartbreaking moments, and some hotter than hell panty melting moments!! I don’t know why I do this so often but I tend to read books in a series, out of sequence. While each book in the Alabama Summer series is about a different couple and can be read as standalones, all of these characters are either family or friends so they are all connected. I started this series by reading the last book, and while I only met the other couples briefly in that one, I was still able to follow and enjoy this short novella. So anyone who hasn’t read any of the books will still be able to enjoy this one.

In Ben and Mia’s story, they both just learn that Mia is pregnant with their third child. While they are beyond thrilled, Mia worries about telling her best friend, Tessa. Tessa and Luke have been trying to get pregnant for a while without success. They’re starting to lose hope and Mia wants to be considerate of her best friend’s feelings.

Luke takes Tessa on a date to a haunted house attraction to get her mind off of their baby making issues. He’s not particularly into the Halloween festivities but he’d do anything for the love of his life. Their heart to heart over how having a baby or not will affect their relationship will leave you swooning over Luke.

Reed and Beth are expecting their first baby and a scare early into the pregnancy has affected their once wild and kinky sex life. While the sex is always phenomenal, Reed has been keeping it ”vanilla” and Beth is starting to lose her mind. She wants the kink back and the two will do just that in the storage room in the back of the bar that Beth works at. Panties will be incinerated! I guarantee it!

CJ and Riley are still living together and even more in love. While at the Halloween party at the bar, CJ proposes to Riley in front of all of their close friends and family! It was great getting to see this couple embark on their “Happily Ever After”.

The last story is the CUTEST!!! It looks like Nolan is going to be a chip off the old block. He’s as romantic as Ben. Maybe there’s a book for this adorable couple which will take place fifteen to twenty years in the future?

EYE CANDY releases on September 5th!! Helena Hunting and J Daniels fans, you will want to one-click this!!! I’m sure fans of Tara Sivec, Tijan, and Bella Jewel, will also want to get their hands on this anthology!

4 Not So Spooky Stars

When I saw Eye Candy offered on NetGalley I knew I had to request it. Not only does it contain offerings from some of my favorite authors but on a personal level, Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Where I'm from, Indian summer is EVERY DAMN SUMMER and Halloween is the first possible chance we have to wear jeans without sweating profusely. Add in the fun spooky stuff that always comes with the holiday and I say BRING IT!

Anywho, back to the read at hand. Normally when it comes to anthologies I skip around and read the authors I like, disregarding everything else included. The stories included in Eye Candy contain characters and content based on previous or future stories written by the authors and I was a little worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up.

Luckily that wasn’t the case.

I found myself getting into all of the novellas, regardless of my lack of history with some of the authors. The standout for me was the Helena Hunting offering, which has me anxiously awaiting Hooking up, releasing in November, and Shacking Up, currently available but yet to be read by yours truly.

Are you going to be scared out of your wits if you read this little Halloween treat?

Not so much. But Eye Candy is still one hell of a good time.

Well this Halloween compilation was definitely a treat. I've only read J. Daniels' work so I was excited to get introduced to some new authors. Each novella captured the theme of Halloween and I was very much entertained.

Fallen Crest Nightmare - Tijan
This was actually very suspenseful and thrilling. Samantha and her girl friends are out partying and enjoying girls night. A tour at a haunted house and a man in a black robe provided the scary elements of the story. Very Halloween and all I was missing was the popcorn.

So Much More - J. Daniels
It was fantastic to be back with the Bama gang. It was like I never left. These people mean so much to me. Every POV are from the guys and I loved that. There was love, surprises, hot and incredible sex. The final POV was from a special boy from the very first Alabama book and it was icing on the cake. I hope and pray that there's more story to be told from this gang.

Getting Down - Helena Hunting
Well I can honestly say that after meeting Ruby, Bancroft, Amalie and Lexington in Getting Down that I'm very interested to read Amalie's story. This novella was great filled with hilarious moments and amazing chemistry between the characters. Ruby's cat woman suit and what transpired and Amalie's panties with a hole were definitely a great moments. I'm ready for more.

Unsafe Haven - Bella Jewel
This novella told from Jade's POV was so sweet. I enjoyed her and Oliver and how their friendship slowly evolved. Also how it changed Jade and made her more brazen. Unsafe Haven also delivered some thrills along the way.

The Stuffed Pumpkin - Tara Sivec
I laughed out loud thanks to Noel's crazy and funny parents and her aunt Bobbie. She and her husband Sam visits them and it's a roller coaster ride full of fun and games. There's clowns, bad words, pot pills and a birth at a wedding. What's not to like.

Eye Candy was so much fun and if you're in the need for something fun with a twist on the side then this it.

I read only two stories out of this anthology; Tijan's Fallen Crest Nightmare and J. Daniel's So Much More and my rating for the anthology is an average for those.

SO MUCH MORE by J. Daniels
5 STARS

Goo! I'm a pile of goo! This story was just perfection. Sweet, sexy, giddy smile on your face perfection. J. Daniels brings her entire gang back in her Alabama Summer Series, and it was GLORIOUS. Mia and Ben, Reed and Beth, CJ and Riley, and my favorite couple, Tessa and Luke all get a story here and it was like the ridiculously perfect icing on the already tasty cake. I loved this series, but getting this additional peek into these couples lives was fantastic. And then there was Nolan. OMG NOLAN! You guys! This is easily one of the most vivid, most endearing characters J has ever written to date and he's just a kid. But oh man, he steals my heart each and every single time I read about him. And that final chapter? PERFECTION!

Firstly, how am I only discovering this author now? What sort of rock have I been living under? This novella was a fun and spooky bonus to the Fallen Crest series and I. Am. Hooked.
There were so many characters that I was just discovering and I had no issues keeping up. If anything, this novella just whet my appetite for more. This was a fun hybrid of Scream and NA goodness and I gobbled it right up. Then I went and immediately one-clicked the Fallen Crest High series. I feel a reading binge coming on in my very near future.

I read J. Daniels and Helena Hunting story from this anthology and it was so good! Perfect for fans of the series, but not only!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

This short story reminded me how awesome Ruby and Bancroft were, the heroes of Shacking Up. And raised to the maximum level of excitement for Amalie Whitfield story in Hooking Up. It promises to be really amazing and I can not wait. But let's return to this story.

It was all in what the author is the best. Creations of wonderful characters and funny dialogues and situations. I am sure that whoever reads it will want to read all previous and next Helena Hunting books.

And one advice from Ruby:

“It’s never too late to back out and find a new penis to sit on for the rest of your life.”

Hope you got inspired!

So Much More by J. Daniels

J. Daniels created something for fans of Alabama boys. Amazing written, short stories with each of the couples. And even Nolan got his share. And of course he stole the entire show. You can easily fall in love with this whole group.

All these stories connect the halloween theme, so if you like this holiday then surely you will have a lot of fun with these heroes and their stories.

Fantastic read!

Tijan's Fallen Crest Nightmare: I've not read the Fallen Crest series but after this short Halloween read, I can't wait to dive into that series. I need to know more about Mason and Logan! Also, I enjoyed the "Scream" theme.

J. Daniel's: These short stories were so cute and they were like an extra epilogue into all the characters. Nolan's 6 year old love for Ryan was adorable! I hope that means we'll eventually get their story.

Helena Hunting's Getting Down: After reading this, I must read Shacking Up immediately! I loved how hot for each other Bancroft and Ruby are. I really hope Amelie is getting a book and she kicks Armstrong to the curb. I really don't like that guy.

Bella Jewel's Unsafe Haven: incredibly sweet! Bella Jewel described the perfect man in Oliver. Quiet, broody, built with tattoos and knew when to take charge. Enough said.

Tara Sivec's The Pumpkin Was Stuffed: My favorite family is back! The Holidays are my favorite family and I would have bought this anthology just for this story alone!

There is a whole lot of creative talent in this set of stories and every one of them was a 5 Star read for me. I can't wait to dig into the books that are related to some of these characters that I haven't read yet. I highly recommend it! ARC provided by NetGalley.

I really enjoyed Eye Candy anthology, Halloween novellas from bestselling authors Tijan, J. Daniels, Helena Hunting, Bella Jewel and Tara Sivec.

Each novella was well written, entertaining, sexy, funny, thrilling and once I started reading I didn't want to stop.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Eye Candy, especially as I've not had the pleasure of reading any of the authors previous books other than Helena Hunting.

My fav was Getting Down by Helena Hunting.
Having read Shacking Up, I loved revisiting Ruby and Bancroft/Bane. They made me laugh, they made me swoon and I loved how they were together. These two have such a beautiful and special relationship that grows stronger everyday.

description

Getting Down is the perfect prelude for Hooking Up which is Amalie's book, coming out November 7th.
I loved Amalie/Amie from Shacking Up, she's Ruby's best friend who happens to be engaged to Bane's stuffy/obnoxious cousin Armstrong.
In Getting Down we get closer look into their relationship and you know these two are not meant to be together.

In closing, I found all the novella's entertaining and easy to follow. I didn't find it distracting not having read the couple's previous books, if anything it's made me want to go and read them now lol

Eye Candy is a great read, especially for those who love Halloween and I highly recommend it!

I jumped right into this anthology thinking that I was just going to read J. Daniels and Helena Hunting's stories because their novellas are a part of series that I know and absolutely LOVE. But once I devoured those two, I went in for the others and absolutely fell in love! I had to read all of them. I couldn't stop! Books like these make me so excited for the authors and the readers. This is a chance for authors to gain new readers to their incredible series, as well as, satisfy their fan base with updates on their favorite characters. This anthology is great for readers to gain some perspective on new authors - test out their writing style, character development, and more. Hopefully this leads to series binge-reading and overflowing TBR's. I know it did for me! Whether you're a BAMA girl, a Shacking Up fan, or you just love your romances short and sweet, the EYE CANDY anthology is the one for you!

Eye Candy is an entertaining Halloween themed anthology. This review covers So Much More by J. Daniels, Getting Down by Helena Hunting, and The Pumpkin Was Stuffed by Tara Sivec.

So Much More by J. Daniels

It’s been awhile since I’ve read most of the books in the Alabama Summer series, so it was nice to be reminded of how much I love those Bama Boys. The novella takes place on Halloween, and each chapter is about a different couple and written from the man’s point of view.

There seems to be a common theme: each man realizing he hasn’t shown his woman the depth of his love. There are many tender moments, but a heck of a lot of laughs as well. It’s difficult to pick which story is my favorite, but the gathering of all the characters at the big Halloween party is a hilarious highlight. This was a joy to read.

***

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

You don’t need to have read Helena Hunting’s Shacking Up to sit back and enjoy this short story, but it certainly appeased my appetite for more Ruby and Bane. Their relationship may be a bit too oversexed for me here, but they are the complete opposite of Amalie and her uptight fiancé, Armstrong.

Amalie is Ruby’s best friend, and the story follows them planning a Halloween ball for the rich and snooty. I love their friendship. Ruby is quirkier than ever, even as she deals with small cracks in Bane’s armor of self-assurance. Meanwhile, Amalie tries to suppress her bad girl nature to meet Armstrong’s boring expectations.

There’s humor galore in each chapter, and I get the feeling we’ve only touched the surface of Amie and Armstrong’s screwed up relationship. She really does deserve her own story. Lucky for us, she’s getting one! My pump is well primed for more of Amie’s adventures in Hooking Up.

***

The Pumpkin Was Stuffed by Tara Sivec

Jump aboard the crazy train for a one-way trip to visit Noel’s certifiably insane family. Noel’s dad is obsessed with winning the yearly Halloween house decorating contest at any cost. Noel’s mom can’t stop talking about her sex life. Noel’s best friend is a bridezilla planning a Holloween-themed wedding. Flamboyant Aunt Bobbie is full of pill-popping, booze-induced antics. Meanwhile, Noel and Sam are expecting their first child.

The humor is way over the top, but as long as you’re prepared for that and are simply looking for a fun read, this novella will fit the bill.

"So Much More" was everything I needed from my "Bama Boys"!!!

I LOVE Alabama series and I always want to know what is going on with their lives, kids and stuff like that so this one was the highlight of my week maybe month, it depends on the next books I want to read! We'll see, we'll see...

Ben, Luke, Reed, CJ were as HOT as EVER!!!And as in love with their women as EVER!!! It was a pleasure to be in their head once again! These characters make me wish that every few months or so, we should get updates from their lives and how Alabama is treating them... you know. I know some of you understand what I mean!!!

And my sweet Nolan was AMAZING AGAIN! This kid and his brother are the cutest little babies! Nolan's chapter though...I was melting away with his beautiful little heart!!! Go Nolan!!!

P.S. I only read J.Daniels' book, So much more! Not the others. So I'm only rating "So much More"! Oops... My bad! :/

Fallen Crest Nightmare

The beginning was slow and a bit boring, but once this story picked up it had my heart racing. Don’t read this one for the sexy, read it for the pulse pounding excitement and suspense.

So Much More
J. Daniels
4 stars
This was a series of short stories highlighting a different couple from this author’s previous books. They were each so darn cute and I absolutely loved how over the top each hero was.

Getting Down
Helena Hunting
2 stars
POV from two different heroines. One has lots of sex with her boyfriend and the other doesn’t get much from her fiancé. This seems to be setting us up for the story of the engaged heroine possibly getting together with another man. I skimmed a lot of this story.

Unsafe Haven
Bella Jewel
5 stars
Dang, Bella Jewel rocks even a Halloween novella! It’s official, this is definitely my favorite of the book! Sexy, broody hero. Shy, quiet heroine. Mystery, suspense. I loved it!

The Pumpkin was Stuffed
Tara Sivec
4 stars
Another fun addition to Tara Sivec’s The Holidays series. This one obviously Halloween. I don’t know why this crazy functional dysfunctional family make me laugh, but they do. It’s my guilty secret because I’m pretty outspoken about not liking immature humor. This time Noel is pregnant and Sam is hiding a secret from her and the family. It’s chaos and mayhem at its finest with a touch of romance and steam to bring it all together.

I pretty much enjoyed everyone of the stories in this anthology. I'm rating this as a 4.5 and rounding it up to 5 because someone gave me some chocolate to eat while I read this. Happy Halloween to me!

So Much More by J. Daniels: 5 So Much More Stars!

Ahhhh...this little treat by J. Daniels was so much more!! It was everything that I could have asked for her as she treated her readers to five POVs. And within each of POVs, you can’t help but have a permanent smile on your face!!!!! This was the best treat that J.Daniels could have given her readers!!!!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting: 5 Church of Bane Cock!

What can I say but this little treat is why I LOVE Helena Hunting. She seriously can do no wrong in my books as all her books has me begging for my next fix. Getting Down reunites readers to Bane and Ruby and OMG...this couple just made me SMILE BIG TIME!!! Love these two together!!!! And as for a bonus treat, Hunting gives readers a sneak peek as to what is to come for Amie and the new hero that readers will be Shacking Up to in the fall.

ec012f12de423ca681670ba5b9091c

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel: 4.5 Sanctuary Stars!

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel introduces readers to Jade, a woman who escaped an abusive relationship and who now works at the Sanctuary, a place that provide support to those who were also in the same predicament as Jade was once before. It is there she meets Oliver, a handyman that she is very much attracted to. As Jade and Oliver begins to spend more time with one another, their friendship soon begins to transition into something more. So if you are looking forward to reading a shy heroine who meets broody hero then this story might be for you.

Book 1 : by Tijan :
I enjoyed it, but at the end I was so confused. Actually I still am confused!

I get why everyone is making a big deal out of this it is kind of scary, but because I've read so much about it it wasn't as scary for me anymore.

Book 2 : by J. Daniels

A quote that had me laughing and I just wanted to share it with you.
"I don't think he's ever gonna stop using diapers, Dad. He's just not getting it like we did."

What I love about J.Daniels her Halloween story is that it's in all the guys their pov. So you get from each couple a glimpse. I haven't read this series, but this intrigued me! This wasn't scary or so but it was so fun and extremely hot! Reed and Beth are a hot pair.

Book 3 by Helena Hunting
Let's just say I really looked forward to this one, because I loved shacking up!

I loved this so very much! Also the pov from Amie! Can I smack Armstrong against the head? What a effin douche he is..
I really look forward to Amies book! Can time go faster?

Book 4 by Bella Jewel
This was a fast one before I knew it, it was finished.
For me I found this the scariest one, mostly also because sometimes I'm afraid in the dark (when I'm alone). To be honest I didn't really saw it as a prank and I think neither did they. This is a story that can be very very true!

Book 5 by Tara Sivec
This one was kind of funny. But not really something I would enjoy normally. I don't know why but it just wasn't for me.

ARC provided by NetGalley.

Let me start and say I only read J. Daniels story because well it was the bama boys. Who I love so much! I haven't read any of the other stories so I didn't want to ruin anything. First off we get a glimpse at Halloween for the Bama boys and their families. Loved each chapter. And can I also say J your killing me lady!! I am beyond ready for a story from Nolan. And that spoiler chapter made me want it even more. Please tell me it'll happen soon.
We get an emotional side of bad ass hardcore Tessa. My heart hurt and I cried my eyes out. I can't even imagine. If your a fan of the Alabama Series by J. Daniels then don't wait grab this book as soon as it becomes available!!

What an amazing collection of sweet, fun-filled novellas from some of the bestselling romance authors we love! This anthology will definitely make your Halloween celebration a whole lot more entertaining and interesting.

So Much More by J. Daniels
Alabama Summer Series lovers, you are in for a delightful TREAT with this one because oh my swoony feels and cuteness overload!!! This novella was just that— SO. MUCH. MORE. It's complete and utter PERFECTION. My heart's bursting at the seams with so much love for these characters; I didn't know how much I truly missed each and every single one of them until I was deeply engrossed in their lives again. It feels so good to be back! God, these Bama Boys are LIFE and this novella will certainly quench your thirst of being reunited with them. Needless to say, I was freaking giddy down to my toes the entire time reading this one. J. Daniels knows how to rock a freaking anthology like it's nobody's business.

We get five amazing POVs in this novella—Ben's, Luke's, Reed's, CJ's, and Nolan's. Yup, you read that last one right! And boy, are you in for something really sweet and heart-melting from this little man. Ben Kelly starts So Much More with a tummy-tumbling and rather delicious bang. Ben and Mia's family has always had a special place in my heart. They just have the most ridiculously adorable family. Ever. And we witness a ton of that goodness here. Reed and Beth has something very kinky happening in the storage room of McGill's that will make you blush and giggle like a teenager. Luke and Tessa goes on a trip to the haunted woods that will creep you out—because damn man-baby—but ends up making you all weepy and emotional instead. These two have been my favorite from the start and seeing them struggle to have a baby will never cease to break my heart every time. CJ and Riley will ramp up the butterflies in your tummy for what they have in store. They'll make you squeal with glee and have you sighing like a lovesick fool all over again. And then there's Sir Nolan. Let's just say that this mighty knight will own your heart (if he hasn't already) by the end of this novella.

So Much More was the very first novella I dove into when I got Eye Candy and, let's face it, the main reason I was dying to get my hands on this. Because... Bama Boys! Need I say more? Get ready to swoon and melt. Sigh and burn up. Sniffle and break down. Laugh and wipe happy tears. J. Daniels will take you trick-or-treating back to Alabama and make you wish for the next book in this epic series already.

Getting Down by Helena Hunting
If you've read Helena Hunting's Shacking Up that was recently just released, you'll definitely fall in love and in lust with this one. It's the perfect sequel to Bane and Ruby's story and a huge tease for Amie's upcoming tale in Hooking Up!

This was told both in Ruby and Amie's POVs. As usual, we get the adventurous and funny Ruby. God, her mishaps were just too epic, there's not a chance you won't bust a lung laughing. And then we get a needy, insecure and jealous Bane which hit a little too high on the sexy scale. But it was Amie's parts that intrigued me the most here. I'm really hoping that this is the giant hint we're waiting for pertaining to her mystery man. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that the guy I'm thinking of is the right one and who'll be getting Anarchy Amie back. Because for gods sakes, the dull douche canoe, also known as Armstrong, really needs to be booted out already. Like yesterday! This seriously has me all kinds of pumped up and excited for Amalie's book!

Getting Down has tons of hilarious scenes that we crave from Helena Hunting and there may be some dirty superhero fantasies involved that came true. Costume soirées and all that. After reading this, Ruby and Amie will certainly make you want to play dress up again and you'll get a lot of hot ideas from them on what to wear or be this coming Halloween!

I've been waiting for this anthology in order to read the next installment of Tara Sivec's wacky Holiday family. The other authors are a bonus-

The Pumpkin Was Stuffed - Tara Sivec
☆☆☆1/2
OTT, outrageous and goofy? Absolutely! But this crazy family and their over the top antics snuck right in and made me fall for them.
- no cheating
- no ow/om drama
- laugh out loud moments
- not much steam at all
- no epilogue at all - I hope we haven't seen the last of them!

***So Much More*** By Jdaniels.

Short & Sweet. If you are over the top, head over heels, BAMA FAN like myself, than you all must read this. I have said it so many times, so I will say it again. The Bama Series is unlike any series I've read before, those characters have stayed with me for years, and any time I can get back together with the gang I'm all for it.

This is the Halloween edition and J brings out the big guns. It's funny, it's swoony, heartfelt, sexy, and above all REAL. These couple's are living life, raising babies, and having relationships id die to be apart of.

The whole gang is BACK.

Every time I read a book from this series or now a novella, I always say, yup this right here is the one. It's my favorite this couple is my favorite. This novella helped me realize that just will never be the case. It's impossible to not love this whole crazy bunch.

I loved it. I loved it. I loved it.

Since this is an anthology I figured I would leave mini reviews for each book.
This anthology is where authors took their favorite book and made a Halloween scene about it. I have never read any of the actual series and the authors made it so they were standalones for the most part but you really get intrigued to pick up the actual stories.

Fallen Crest Nightmare by Tijan
This is the first book and omg it was actually terrifying!!! like I had all the heebie jeebies!!!!

We are going to pay homage to the tequila gods tonight. We are going to kneel at their altar, lick their balls, stroke their members

I want to get fuck-faced enough where I actually might get fucked on my face tonight. –That sounds painful, confusing and strangely erotic at the same time

So Much More by J. Daniels – didn’t really leave me any stand out scenes. Probably a 3 star read. It dealt with more serious issues such as pregnancy, inability to become pregnant and it was a nice read but it didn't fit into this anthology as much as I hoped.

Getting Down by Helena Hunting
this book is filthy.. and I love it! This series automatically goes in my TBR hands down. I am so interested in Helena Huntings characters. This book comes from her shacking up and hooking up books. This is about a hot bachelor auction and there is so much story fit in this little segment I need more!!!

That’s it babe, that’s what I want, you squeezing my cock, looking at me like I’m your fucking God.

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel
Starting real slow. I'll light your body on fire
for me this book didn't work. it was spooky and a who dun it.. but the male characters voice in the book was borderline gross to me. I live in TEXAS so I will probably be shot for this but I guy ending sentences with Darlin' instead of periods is just bleehhhh

The pumpkin was Stuffed - Tara Sivec
this book is laugh out loud funny I believe Aunt Bobbie who used to be Uncle Robert is single handedly the reason this book is such a success. Aunt Bobbie is like a train wreck you cant stop looking at and should not be allowed without supervision she spent an hour hiding drugs, anal beads and pot brownies in tricker treat bags and I thought it was hilarious!
Sweet Jesus she looks like a clown that just got woken up after a gang bang

I'm in mother forking labor and my gosh dinged water just broke Noel Screams
See it sounds dumb when you're not using real swear words Alex Mutters.

5 "I need more Bama Boys and Bane" Stars!!!

I loved this anthology! All the novellas were ah-mazing!!! But I especially loved 'So Much More' by J. Daniels and 'Getting Down' by Helena Hunting!!!

***So Much More*** by J. Daniels

BAMA BOYS!!!!! Need I say more?! This short and sweet novella satisfied my thirst for more of this crew. I mean, don't get me wrong. I still NEED more of the Bama gang. I'll NEVER get tired of reading about these characters, EVER!

Ben and Mia are still EVERYTHING!!! These two just steal my heart. They are just so damn adorable, but then again, they're also so HOT, HOT, HOT! Don't even get me started with their sons, Chase and Nolan. Those two are so darn cute, I can't even. Ugh, I can go on and on about this little family, but you'll just have to read for yourself the other surprises that are in store.

Luke and Tessa, oh these two. I got emotional with their story. No spoilers here though. All I've got to say is, Luke had me clutching my heart. That man, gosh he's just something else.

Reed and Beth, oh f*** just as kinky as ever! OH MY FREAKING GOSH, that scene, ohhhh weeee *fans self* When you guys read it, just be prepared, it will not disappoint!

CJ and Riley, still as crazy for each other as ever. They're so cute together. CJ is just a cuddly teddy bear, I can't.

Seriously, 'So Much More' was oh-so-good!!! I loved getting a glimpse of how the lives of the Bama group has been. I hope for so much more for a certain character in the future. *fingers crossed*

***Getting Down*** by Helena Hunting

I was so excited when I found out that Helena was included in this anthology. I couldn't wait to see how the lives of Bane, Ruby and Amie have been going.

Bane and Ruby, ahhhhh I couldn't get enough!!! Ruby is such a hoot, I'd forgotten how hilarious she was. I absolutely love Bane and Ruby's relationship. My gosh are these two over-the-moon for each other. I loved their playfulness and the fact that they couldn't keep their hands of each other. I mean, if I were Ruby I'd jump Bane's bones any chance I had too. I can't wait to read more about them in Amie's book.

Amie, oh I loved getting to know her better. It was just a glimpse, but I'm so prepared to know more about her in her book. I can't wait to see what happens. And I certainly hope a certain someone is in her book as well!

I cannot wait for 'Hooking Up' November NEEDS get the eff here NOW! I NEED Amie's book right NOW! I NEED questions answered and I NEED more Bane and Ruby!

Sometimes you need a quick fix when reading, especially if you are a busy mama or have a demanding job. You need a tale that is going to tempt you to read further but one that you can quickly gobble up in one sitting. You need a test drive into new author territory before jumping behind the wheel. Anotholgies like Eye Candy are the perfect places to test drive authors' words before you thrust full throttle into their books.

When you always wish your favorite authors would write a bit more about their beloved characters that you love and then your wish is granted from a genie called the anthology. The Eye Candy anthology, a collection of short stories from many amazing authors in one book, is that glorified quickie we readers sometimes crave....that wham-bam-thank you, sir or ma'am.

As I only met two series out of the five that the Eye Candy anthology features, I read and reviewed those.

SO MUCH MORE - J. Daniels

Smoldering sex, sweet surprises, endearing moments, Halloween haunts, and friends who are family make up So Much More J. Daniels gives readers with more Bama Boys, back to the series of Southern sass, steam and swoon. Each Eye Candy chapter blesses us with a Bama Boy's point-of-view, an insight into what's happened since the series stopped.

Ben and Mia return and they are as cute and captivating as ever, especially as parents who still are hot for each other. Their family life is so sweet...so endearing and I loved the sneak peek into their life with littles.

This need—this overwhelming desire to taste and touch and fuck this woman never goes away. Never lessens in the slightest. It's always there.

Reed and Beth keep the kink in marriage and you have to applaud their Christian Grey creativity. One word: rope! I missed Reed's deliciously dirty mouth and loved getting a taste.

"Watching you with that rope is driving me crazy. Because I know what you can do with that rope, Reed. I know exactly what you can do with it. And I want that."

Luke and Tessa are still as feisty as ever and always entertaining couple. I like my alphas a little tarnished and perfectly imperfect, and Luke is all that and more. Tessa always makes me both laugh and gasp in shock...no filter. I LOVE her and still want to be her bestie!

I shouldn't get off on riling Tessa up and getting a helluva lot of lip from her, but I do. And she gets off on giving it.

Tully and Riley...the best for last and oh do they have a sweet surprise! Tully is still my favorite Bama boy who is entertaining and endearing to me!

This is real—the way she's looking at me. Those big, blue flames burning me up the way they always do.

That 'darlin,' a Southern gal's kryptonite, gets me every time.

"We were always meant for this, darlin'."

That Tully charm is twisted around me and I'll never let it go. I'll never want to let go of the Bama Boys.

GETTING DOWN - Helena Hunting

Heat, humor, and heart make up one delicious delight as Helena Hunting weaves her writing magic into Getting Down. Cinderella meets superheroes and one villain or two in a fierce and fire-hot fairytale that leaves you wanting more. You'll end this taste of a treat needing the next novel by Helena Hunting, Hooking Up, to satisfy the ache that Getting Down leaves.

The chemistry continues to combust between Bancroft 'Bane' and Ruby! These two were created for each other. I loved them both so much!

Serious Bancroft makes me want to get naked. All versions of Bane make me want to get naked, but when he's all scowly and furrowed brow it makes my lady parts want attention.

Ruby channeled her inner Violet and I was in HUMOR HEAVEN!

"Naughty girl." He drags a knuckle along my slit. "You're ready for my cock right now, aren't you."

Holy hot! Bane's deliciously dirty words turned me into wanton woman.

Throw Ruby's bestie, Amie, along with Bancroft's cousin, Armstrong, and his brother, Lexington, into the mix and things quickly get interesting and oh-so-more intoxicating! Getting Down bleeds angst along with humor and heart!

I turn away from Lexington so I don't succumb to the urge to look at his abs again.

A taste of Bane's brother, Lex, left me wanting a bigger bite. I also can't wait for Amie's story as that bit of fire she showed in Getting Down made me want to see more of Amie's flames.

I LOVED getting down with GETTING DOWN, which lit me up in laughter, blazed my body, and shot sparks to my heart and soul!!! Packed with humor, heat, and heart, Getting Down is a rom-com that delivers it all!

Eye Candy is full of tricks and this perfect treat SATISFIES EVERYWHERE!!! This anthology is a compilation of character favorites, beloved heroes and heroines who feel like family. Eye Candy is the sweetest reunion; it feels like coming home. Like the finest chocolate, Eye Candy is an ADDICTION where you'll ache for MORE!

💋💋💋💋💋 sweet, smoldering, and satisfying kisses

A MUST-READ DELIGHT!!!

Review by Lisa Kane

Tons of great reading in this compilation of Halloween stories by some of my fav authors. Some are funny, some are really scare (Tijan!) and they all have sexy over the top steam!

These read like long well developed bonus scenes that continue the stories of my favorite characters. Each author has a chance to delve into these new scenes so they don't feel rushed and the reader isn't teased nor cheated. They were all wins for me -this felt more like Christmas for me than Halloween.

I love this idea, most anthologies are short stories that always leave me wanting more. But with Eye Candy, my reading sweet tooth was well satisfied!

Eye Candy by Tijan, J. Daniels, Helena Hunting, Bella Jewel and Tara Sivec
Halloween Anthology featuring characters and stories from favorite books by these authors.

I was so excited to read Eye Candy! Helena Hunting and Tara Sivec are two of my favorite authors, and Tara’s Holiday Series needed a Halloween story badly. I loved J. Daniel’s Sweet Series, but I haven’t read her whole Alabama Summer Series yet (though I may now). Bella Jewel and Tijan are both at the top of my want-to-read list, so I had really high expectations for this anthology. I will review each story separately and briefly.

Fallen Crest Nightmare by Tijan:
I have not read Tijan before. I tried reading for 4 days, and just couldn’t push past 8%. I felt completely lost, like I was dropped right in the middle of a book. But really it was supposedly more like an epilogue to the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan. A number of people told me to stick with it, because it’s a really good, really creepy story, but my head wasn’t in the right place to push through. I may try again on Halloween.

DNF (can’t rate)

So Much More by J. Daniels
I haven’t read the whole Alabama Summer Series yet, so I did feel a little lost, but not too bad. There was LOTS of sexy in this one, and I am very interested in reading more of the series now, but it wasn’t very Halloweenie, it was more about pregnancy and hot sex.

We actually get 5 different male POV in this story, so if you have read and loved the series, you can catch up with all of your favorite characters.

Note: I actually forgot, I did listen to the first in the series, so I thought maybe it was a little familiar at the beginning, but even though I listened recently, it didn't stick with me, so this all felt new.

3.5 Stars

Getting Down by Helena Hunting
I totally loved this one! We are reunited with Bane and Ruby from Shacking Up, but the story is just as much about Amie, who will be getting her own book, Hooking Up, in November. This felt like a full story, but it does leave you excited for more.
“I can’t do that with my vagina hanging out!” I gesture wildly to my crotch.

I was laughing out loud several times. I don’t think it is necessary to have read the ones before in this case, she seems to do a good job of filling in the blanks, because I have a very poor memory. Still, since I DID read Shacking Up, I can’t truly judge that. I do think that if you plan on reading Hooking Up next, you should read this story first, as it will have a huge background for the couple in Hooking Up.

4.5 stars

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel
I didn’t think that this story was really related to any other of Bella’s stories, and if it is, you’d never know. I really enjoyed this sweet romance, with an exciting night of Halloween suspense.
*Note: the main couple is new, but the book is a spin off of The Watcher by Bella Jewel.

4.5 stars

The Pumpkin Was Stuffed by Tara Sivec
I am totally in love with the Holiday family and found myself laughing out loud (complete with snorts) in this perfect addition to the Holiday Series. I think if you have not read the series before, it’s a great introduction to the ridiculous crazy that comes out of Tara’s brain. Sometimes you can’t help but crack up at the silliness of it all, and that’s what makes it so special.
“You’re going to be the sexiest oven anyone has ever seen,” I whisper in her ear.
“Forget about cooking a baby. I’m going to chop off your balls and cook those instead.”

Scheva & Alex, Aunt Bobbie and her pot pills, apple butter lube, lots of clowns, and the whole Holiday family brought all the crazy, but in true Tara Sivec tradition, she brings a little sweet as well. I loved this one!

PS: Butthole Meat is now a new phrase in my house.

4.5-5 stars

The Down & Dirty:
As someone who is not an anthology lover, I still enjoyed this book. 4 of the 5 stories were really like extended epilogues to series already released, only Bella Jewel’s story was almost a total standalone. Being that these all read like epilogues, there was lots of pregnancy related stories. If I had read all of the series featured in this anthology I think it would be a must read, because I would have hated to miss Helena’s and Tara’s stories, as they are related to books I know and loved. But I don't think that this is really the best for new readers of all of these series, I think you should at least have one that you know you'll love to pick this up and make it worth it. It was TOTALLY worth it for me.

Overall Rating: 4 stars, Heat 4.5 (just from 2 stories)

I went back and forth on the rating for this until I finally gave up and settled for the middle.

A few things you may want to know:
- all of these are essentially Halloween epilogues for previous books
- the first story is more of a slasher fic and there’s no romance at all
- second is four couples who clearly got together in previous books and are now either pregnant, infertile, or getting engaged
- third has an unhappy couple and a happy couple. It felt interstitial, like the unhappy heroine was going to get her own book soon
- fourth is funny, as usual for Tara Sivec

If not for the second two stories, this antho would have gotten a much lower grade. It doesn’t feel like a Halloween anthology so much as “here are some epilogues which will not make sense to you unless you have read all twenty of the books.”

If you like these authors and know the couples, it will likely be fun. Otherwise, I recommend getting your Halloween fix elsewhere.

Five Halloween novellas in one book featuring some of my favourite authors. All standalones with no cliffhangers.
Tijan’s Fallen Crest gang are hosting a Halloween party to remember, with a fun plot line and lots of twists and turns this story was tense and creepy all at the same time.
J Daniella’s Alabama Summer tells all the boys’ stories with some sweet funny sexy as all hell moments, I loved this story.
Helena Hunting’s Shacking Up spin off has Bancroft and Ruby in some hilarious and extremely sexy moments, I did not want this novel to end.
Bella Jewel’s Unsafe Haven was probably the sweetest and scariest read, I was on tenderhooks and I was second guessing the sincerity of all the characters during the Halloween party, there were definitely some tense moments towards the end of this story.
Tara Sevec’s story was funny, cringeworthy and sweet all at the same time. With some pretty ‘out there’ characters that had me laughing out loud. A true Halloween family drama.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable read. Out of the five author's there were two that were new to me, even though I didn't know the characters from the two books in question it did not impede my enjoyment of the stories.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
