Loved the series! Loved the place, the characters, the adventures. I also appreciate the side stories; the romance was surprising in its twist, and you root for minor characters like the bookseller, while the warlords, soldiers, and even the rickshaw driver all evoke an emotional response. There were so many wonderful characters here, so many lively events and adventures, and so many things that leave an impression on you. The only thing that I'm looking for is a list of references for the research behind these books! Would recommend this series to both old and young, especially those with an interest in foreign cultures, depictions of a city, historic settings, and strange mythological stories and folklore.
I liked this book because it has many twists and turns. One of the many reasons to like it is that there’s almost a story within a story. It has adventure and a little romance. I didn’t get bored with it and wanted to keep reading to see what happened next. It was like stepping into a different world. I will recommend it to my friends. By Isabelle
This concludes the trilogy and contains an interesting twist at the end. It's about two girls in search of Charlie who may or may not be a hopping vampire.
