Love this man’s lifework poured into his book! Mr. Schwartz’ book is truly a reference of biblical engineering and design. And it is fascinating. I studied the Phoenician traders years ago. I just learned that the Romans used concrete that hardens underwater! I used to only imagine these machines in Europe. From now on, I will also imagine them in seaports, siege-works, and city walls in Israel, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. If only all architects and engineers had to match the list of knowledge and skills required for a 1st Century Roman architect!

I will never quickly read over the phrase ‘laid siege’ again.

I bought this for my children. But they have grown and gone. This wonderful book will now go to a young nine year old girl friend who wants to be an engineer.
