Winicker Wallace

Winicker and the American Boy

Rate this book
Winicker Wallace’s class has a new American student! Winicker volunteers to show Roger everything she loves about Paris. But Roger would rather disrupt class, trick people, and get his classmates into trouble. When Roger goes too far, Winicker learns the importance of standing up for herself and others, and that telling an adult is not the same as tattling.

This is a great story about a young girl, Winicker Wallace. She is an American girl living in Paris. She attends school there as well. Their teacher announces a surprise. They have a new student from America! Winicker and her friends are excited to learn about their new friend from Minnesota. She wants to show Roger everything she loves about her Paris home. Roger is more into practical jokes, disrupting the class, and getting everyone into trouble. Winicker learns the imporatance of standing up for herself and others, and that telling an adult is not the same as tattling. Love the use of the french words in the book (has a glossary in back).
