For eight hundred years it has fought tragedy. Against all odds, it has survived. Enduring Tide is the final chapter in the story of a love so strong, it refuses to die.
The course of true love never runs smooth. If anyone should know that, it is Carmen. After all, she holds the tragic memories of hundreds of star-crossed lovers who have each fallen victim to the ancient tide.
Now it is her turn, her time. Nothing can stand in her way. After years of travelling, she has finally found the man she has been searching for. But he’s not quite what she expected. She’s supposed to love him, she knows, but the trouble is, she’s not even sure she likes him.
That, however, turns out to be the least of her problems, when the past returns with a score to settle.
Simon Harding's second novel and sequel to ancient tide is fabulous. It is like running through a high speed train and within each new carriage lies another character's story in the journey, which we are invited in for a glimpse. Full of detail and full of passion, each chapter is inextricably linking together each character in the tide of time. My head was trying to keep up with the pounding of my heart throughout some sections of the story and when I closed the back cover it was still pounding and I was lost for words. Thank you Simon for a fabulous ride.
I really enjoyed this sequel to Ancient Tide by Simon Harding. The story continues at a speedy pace and grabs you from the start. I won’t give any spoilers away but do recommend this series.
