Perrin Briar is an English author best-known for his Blood Memory series, black comedy Keeping Mum, and revenge tale Square. He was born in Huntingdon, grew up in Norfolk, graduated from Bournemouth, worked in London, and then chucked it all in to live in South Korea.

He has written for BBC radio, and worked in the production and development departments of the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

Great Book

I can't wait to read the next book in the series. What will happen to Dana? How will she get out of the situation she is in? What about her little sister?
The ending left me wanting more.

A prequel novella for the full Resistant novel, this interesting tale posits the 'what if'...question, as the seemingly ordinary [for her], events of a day in the life of Danielle/Dana Ward take place within.

Dana's finally released from the King County Juvenile Justice System - or 'juvie' - for the last time.
Her future crimes (if any) will be punished within the adult penal system as she's now turned 18.
Returning to the apartment she shared with boyfriend of the moment, Darren, she's horrified to find him literally eating intimate parts of a girl Dana soon realises is dead from having her throat torn out!

What will Darren do when he sees Dana? What, if any, explanation does he give for his behaviour? How will Dana react?
Can she save herself from a violent predator? How does she break free? Who does she call for help and what is their reaction to what they find inside the apartment?

Resistant 0.5 is a good start to what I am sure will continue to be a very good book. Perrin once again introduces a world of new zombies. I found his beginning very interesting by introducing the background of Dana our main character. She is a tough girl who has had so many tough breaks that while she yearns for love as given up on finding it from anyone other than her half-sister, Max. She is no longer a juvenile and now learns that despite being warned that what she knew as the world has changed she was about to find out that it has changed more than anyone could have imagine people are changing for the worse -far worse and no one knows what to do.

Looking forward to reading the next part.

I was very into this book.I got mad when it ended. I can't wait for the next one. Very well written.. It's my type of book. I'm the edge of my seat, can't wait to see what happens next. So far nothing I expected. Awesome.

Enjoyable

It’s a pretty good story. The main character is relatable and you really feel for her and want things to go well for her.

The zombies in this story are well written and there are no really grammar issues I can remember.

I hate to say this...but....the honest truth is that I love Perrin Briar's writing. BUT...this book just hasn't grabbed me.

I like dystopian novels, but this one seems to be a bit off the wall.

Others will probably like it. Maybe it is geared to the younger set.

But, I WILL read the next ones.
