A few months into freshman year, April thought her rocky friendship with her childhood BFF, Brynn, was improving. But then Brynn blames April for the breakup with her boyfriend, Billy, and soon other girls on the dance team do too. Meanwhile, April's cousin Sophie seems to like Billy--and vice versa--putting April awkwardly in the middle. On top of it all, April can't figure out what to make of being maybe-friends-maybe-more with sixteen-year-old genius Leo, now that he's leaving for college a few hours away.

As a new calendar year kicks off, April just wants a clean start--but high school is messy business.

I loved this book. It always kept me on the edge of my seat. This book is very easy to relate to, since I am about to go into high school. The main character, April, lost a friend and that has happened to me too. April also has younger siblings and so do I. April remind me of myself because she stands up for what she believes in and doesn't let anyone bully her or her siblings. This book overall is a great lesson of friendship.

I loved this book because is a fun, interesting and short book that most teenegers should read specially if you don't like to read. At first I did not liked to read because every booked I tried to read was boring but after I saw this one I got hooked from the summary at the back. The book is about a girl named April who has had a lot of drama since she passed high school. First her best friend Brinn was not anymore her friend because of a boy named Billy that before in middle school Brinn, Billy and April were best friends before Brinn and Billy were together. This book I would recommend to people that are starting to read, because it is an interesting book that will show you how a high schooler lives her life with so much drama.
Also, this book talks about the life of April's friends, for example Leo, Sophie, Brinn etc…

I liked the book because a lot was happening at once. It was kind of hard to keep track of it all but it wasn't all that hard after I really got into the book. If you are a girl in middle school or upper elementary and have read the other books in the series, you will probably like this one. In this book Brynn makes it official that she doesn't want to be friends with April, because she thinks April was the the reason she and Billy broke up. Also things are getting a little weird with April and Leo because Leo is going off to college. to figure out what else happens make sure to read this book (after reading the other books in the series.)
