An excellent introduction to the process of delving deeper into the meaning of any text, and the mind of the writer. Explained in a very accessible way, with plenty of examples. Could benefit from a Further Readings section, because unfortunately materials about "close reading" are predominantly in the fields of high school teaching of English and literary criticism. Anyone reading this review and wanting to suggest good resources on close reading of political texts, please feel free to share!
