"Developed by literacy experts for students in grades three through seven, this book introduces young readers to the geography and culture of Denmark"--Provided by publisher.
My wife Kristy and I read this book together. We wanted to find a little about a country from which we both have ancestors. My paternal great grandmother was from Denmark. Some interesting things about Denmark: They eat ebelskivers, their flag is red with a white cross, and they eat a lot of milk and cheese like Cache Valley in Utah where my Danish relative lived. Copenhagen is the capital and the whole country has 5.5 million. The space between Sweden and Denmark is quite small. LEGOS were invented in Denmark. Vikings ruled Denmark many years ago. Denmark controls Greenland and the Faroe Islands (north of Scotland). My wife and I want to visit it some time.
32 pages; Another great book in the Exploring Countries series. Format and information is excellent. Great photos, charts and additional information at the end. Great job! Highly recommended Gr. 4 and up.
