OK, there is a fair amount of mysticism involved, but he manages to give the gods of the Jews, Muslims, and Pagans at least hints of supporting roles. And I have to like a book that introduced me to the words "haptic" and "fulvous." I would not read this one as a standalone, but if you enjoyed either the first or second installment, this is a good finisher.
