The books can be read as stand-alone stories, or you can experience all the love, thrills and exploits of the whole series.
It’s over the river and through the woods, and straight to Christmas hell for Chance Nichols. His twin has taken off on a mission to the Frozen North and most of the other Guardsman are cuddled up with their mates, so it’s up to Chance to get the Lair decorated before the snow begins to fall.
One trip to town for decorations and Happy Holidays has turned into Scary Grinchmas. According to the latest report, the North Pole is completely shut down. The elves have revolted, the reindeer have flown the coop, and Mrs. Claus is on strike – talk about up the proverbial tree without an extension cord.
Visions of sugarplums can’t fix this one. It’ll take a whole lot of dragon magic, sprinkled with fairy dust and tied together with yards of tinsel and garland. Grab your eggnog and a bowl of figgy pudding, cause the Gingerbread Man has made a call and Fate is on the way. Never fear, if all else fails, we’ll be tangled in tinsel and singing Jingle Bells. There’s no better way to spend your holidays.
This book contains explicit sexual material and violence. It is only suited for mature readers 18 years of age and older.
Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked. I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance. I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!
This book made me laugh. A quick, fun, holiday read that showcased, at least to me, how possessive a dragon shifter can be. Over the top surrounding characters, throw in Santa and the holidays...I was entertained for my evening.
Belle is tired of waiting around for her mate. Chance never expected to catch his mate, literally. Both are stubborn and strong headed. Will Belle be able to accept a dragon as her mate? Will Chance make it to Belle before it is to late?
For anyone who hasn't read any of the Dragon Guard Series, I recommend the entire series. This book was cute with the right amount of sass! I love how while Belle would do anything to help with Christmas, she is also spirited and not a push over. Had to laugh at Chance constantly being reminded to slow down and think. Great read!

Tangled in Tinsel is a joyous Christmas tale, number 27 in the Dragon Guard series. Emerald Dragon Chance Nichols meets the one the Universe has picked for him, the last remaining Christmas Fairy, Belle Silvers, and their passion sends green and red sparkles out in an explosion of love, commitment and Christmas spirit. This sassy story will have you reaching for your brandy-laced eggnog and smiling contentedly. I received a free copy from the author.
One of the best laugh out loud books I have read in ages. Someone has stolen Santa’s sleigh from Mrs Claus and it falls to Belle and her best friend Lizzie to track it down. With Belle’s new found mate Chance and the help of her two gnome friends and Mrs Claus herself, will Belle and Lizzie succeed or need rescuing themselves. Oh my goodness, I laughed right through the whole first few chapters and couldn’t stop giggling at the antics and banter of this lot. Loved having a mating ceremony in the Fairy realm for a change. Hope Lizzie, Belle's witch best friend gets her own story and maybe a hot gorilla shifter too. This is my honest review of this book
This is Chance and Belle's story . And let tell you Julia Mills has written such an awesome story here !!! I love the way Belle so did not want to wake up ( we all have been there lol !) ! And what happens after she leaves her house ??!! Chance's first meeting with Ginger and Candy ??!! Gotta love what happened next ! I laughed so hard on parts of this one !! And Belle's mouth .... hahahaha ... I JUST LOVE HER SASSINESS !! Ex-boyfriends and wicked Christmas song writers this book has everything !!! The ending is AWESOME and OUTSTANDING !!! Using Santa and his sleigh ??!! Wicked cool ! This book is so well written and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to all !!
Murphy's Law has been kicked into high gear this Christmas. Belle, the only Christmas Elf in the world, was a bit grumpy and unsettled her 100th birthday was coming up and she'd yet to find her mate. Her mother was a pistol who really didn't have time for her and was due to visit. Her cousin was another thorn in her side, surely just waiting on the chance to shove wedding pictures of her own under Belle's nose. Trying to hurry into the shop and help her roommate and best friend Lizzie she slipped on the ice and was caught by a large Dragon Shifter only to make a quick get away. Once at the shop she received a call from a dejected Santa Clause asking for help because he forgot his and Mrs. Clause's anniversary and she took the sleigh, reindeer, and his best elves to who knows where. Hmmm, let's top this off with Mrs. Clause coming in the shop mid conversation, hung up the phone to let Belle, Lizzy, and the two Gnomes who were Belle's nannies know someone stole the sleigh, the reindeer were lost and the elves were drinking down at the pub! Combine this with a very frustrated Chance, a Dragon Guardsman, who can't get past the Gnomes to even talk to his mat. Yes indeed, this is a combination of laughter and angst you will chuckle through. Just remember though, Julia Mills has assured us "There are no coincidences. The universe does not make mistakes. Fate will not be denied." You won't want to miss this great holiday love story.
The best Christmas book of the season !! Chance the Guardsman dragon ( born on Christmas Day) meets Berle “The Christmas Fairy”, and ends up knowing she is his “One” the only one he will ever love, cherish and be with until they both return to the Heavens !! Only one problem, she and her friend Lizzie run off to save Christmas, without a plan, forgetting most of their supplies and running into the 2 people who want to kill Santa Claus, the Reindeer and all of Christmas if they can !! So Chance and Simon take off after them in hopes of saving the ladies and Christmas, with 2 female gnomes and Mrs. Claus for back up !! Highly hilarious, full of magic and bits of sexy dragon heat !! 5⭐️‘s !! A shouldn’t be missed Christmas/Yule Read.
This is the first book in this whole series that I haven't given 5 stars. I honestly would have given it 3 if not for the new perspective we got on the relationship between Dragon and Guardsmen. I really loved that they were like best friend and had conversations. I'm not sure quite how to explain it but we definitely seen a different side between them. Other than that I wasn't a real big fan of this book. I think a lot of that had to do with Belle. I felt she was just being a bitch most of the time, with her snide remarks and rude comments. This is just my opinion, it just came off as rude and mean instead of funny and witty. Sorry Julia for a less than 5 star review. I really wish I could have given it to you, but this just didn't work for me. Sorry!!!!
Fantastic Romance between the Christmas fairy and a dragon
Can a dragon hope to find his mate in the Christmas fairy? This dragon has to save Christmas as well as his mate, along with her best friend a witch. Other shoe come with him are a gorilla shifter, Mrs Claus, and two gnomes name Candy and Ginger. And the drama continues.
The characters are hilarious, sexy, and relatable sort of. The situation itself is hairlarious because Santa forgot his and Mrs Claus' anniversary. Not to forget that there are two villains trying to and Santa Claus and Christmas forever.
I have never laughed so hard when reading a Christmas story that is so enjoyable and unforgettable. Highly recommended to tickle your funny bone.
This is too cute! Love the dragon finding there mates scenario, and love the Christmas time angle! Belle is the Christmas Fairy, and Chance is one of the dragon guardsman. These books are quick, short reads, and have dual POV's. Once a dragon meets his mate, they'll do whatever they need for them. Bella has been waiting for her mate for awhile, and when she meets him, she's surprised that he's a dragon instead of a fairy. That's not the only issue though, Santa has forgotten his anniversary with Mrs. Claus, and someone has made off with the reindeer! Fun story with some crazy times! And a sweet and sexy romance! Entertaining read!
This book is about the Christmas Fairy who slipped & was caught by the Christmas Dragon (cause him & his twin were born on Christmas).
Belle or as her BFF calls her Tink will turn 100 years old on Christmas & she’s still single & not in a happy mood.
Chance while out with Kayne to get Christmas decorations for the lair literally catches his mate (before she falls to the ground) & loses her as she runs away to get to work on time.
This book does have a good vs bad fight scene in it as well as Mr. & Mrs. Clause. But, to find out who & what the bad guys are doing to try & ruin Christmas you’ll have to read the book.
This is book 27 in this series, which means this author is challenged to add a uniqueness that would set this tale apart from all others. And Julia Mills delivered. This tale is fully immersed in Christmas references and spirit abound. It’s a tad corny, but during this time of year, it totally matches the ugly sweater mania! The characters are fully imagined, and the heroic dragon guard is definitely swoon worthy. Ms. Mills hit all the buttons that her readers have come to expect, including the quirky humor between the fated pair! A perfect read to keep me in the holiday spirit!
Chance Nichols is on a mission in the frozen north as everyone else is busy with their mates, and has to go into town for decorations and hears reports that the north pole is completely closed down and Mrs Claus is on strike. To fix this issue It’ll take a whole lot of dragon magic, sprinkled with fairy dust and tied together with yards of tinsel and garland.
This was a sweet short story that had all the necessary ingredients of drama, danger, and a dragon finding his one true mate. Nicely written and enjoyable. Contains some sexual content.

REVIEW Chance is sent out to retrieve decorations for the clans Christmas festivities. If you know anything about these Dragon men, it's never send two to do something. Why was he sent again? Oh, yea his brother and most of Dragonguard men are all having fun with their mates.
Kayne has tagged along though, so you best believe you are in for a riot of fun.
Bring in some fairies, gnomes? and oh my gosh Mrs. Claus and boy do you have a party. Belle has wanted a mate and now just figures she is too old well she ain't seen nothing yet hold on to your sleigh folks this is a bumpy, hilarious ride.
A fun book-Chance’s mate literally runs into him. Belle is the Christmas fairy, and is tough and sassy. Right after they meet, the Claus’s have a spat and the sleigh and reindeer get stolen. Belle and her witchy best friend try to recover it, but wind up needing rescuing themselves. A fast fun read, with just a few minor points, like why did she have to climb up on his dragon when she could have flown up there. Overall a good entry in the series.
INTERESTING SERIES, BUT BECAME REPETITIVE AFTER A FEW BOOKS After reading a few of these, I decided to write one review for all of them. I found these books to be pretty good, if somewhat formulaic. If a reader is looking for a good story with some drama & where the main characters go through some terrible things, but ultimately end up together, I think they will enjoy this series of books. It is sometimes nice to read a "happily ever after" story.
I keep hearing Dollu Parton's voice every time I read this title. (She says this line in Steel Magnolias). Anywho, this book had me in stitches from page one. With references from Star Trek and the banter between Belle and Lexie as well as Chance and well everyone, it kept me laughing and I'm still smiling. There is everything you've come to or will come to expect from this writer in this installment of the wonderful series.
Why is this book after #27? Since the beginning of this book negates it. It seems these two books happen at the same time, maybe a bit of a different ending and a different beginning to this one! As far as the suggestion to read this series in order, well that went out the window with the epilogue for the next book being in book #19. I do love this series, but the order is certainly off.
This was a super cute story custom made for Christmas. The dragon's mate is a Christmas fairy. You also get gnomes, Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, and a witch. My favorite dragon man, Kayne makes an appearance. The villains of the story is a slightly twisted Christmas caroler. It's a fun holiday read.
Belle is the only Christmas fairy, she is also snarky. She's also hunting for her mate but when he shows up and keeps her from bruising her bottom he is not what she expected. Chase is a dragon guard and meets his mate on a slippery sidewalk and saves her from falling in her butt. He just has to get past Ginger, Candy and not getting turned into a toad.
Julia did it again, what better way to celebrate Christmas than a book that includes Santa. There are elves , fairies, gnomes, angels, witches, reindeer, and dragons. I love this story so much, you have to read it. If you love Christmas don't miss this one. Can't wait to read the next one.
As always...the Dragon Guard series never fails. Chance and his one and only Christmas Fairy are destined by fate to be together forever. However, along the way to their happily ever after, they must defeat the evildoers intent on destroying Christmas.
This book follows Nowells twin (see last book) he was in it a little bit it was a short read. This book i got confused he was talking to his brother like he did not have a mate? Did I read the wrong book first? This book was more Christmas then the other after all santa is in it.
Christmas fairy Belle falls into her dragon’s arms then sasses him and runs. Belle then tries to do a rescue with only her best friend. What could go wrong, right? Now they need to be rescued. Can her dragon man Chance save them? Will they also be able to save Christmas? Come on in and find her.
A female Christmas fairy and a male dragon shifter warrior!
A male dragon shifter warrior is following orders when he accidentally collides with a fairy and keeps her from landing on her tush. A female Christmas fairy is the last of her kind and is rushing to her shop when she almost falls. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. Happy reading!
I liked these characters and the diversity of the supernatural beings was a plus. Even is this short story Belle and Chance have a wrong to right and baddies to bring in. Then they can concentrate on their fated mating, but that is more complicated than they thought. At least the HEA is worth it.
Review: This was fine, but it just felt like it was missing something. I know it says it can be read as a stand alone, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I understood the world better.
Another terrific story in the dragon guard series! I loved it and will excitedly await the next one. Julia is one of my favorite authors. You should read all her books.
This story will have you smiling from the very beginning. You can't help falling in love with Candy and Ginger. Hope Lizzie and Sam find a little romance. This was a quick read but perfect for the holidays.
