What a strange book. I avoided it for a long time because I'd heard about the bizarre storyline and it didn't appeal to me. But curiosity got the better of me and I decided to read it. Not sure if that was a good or bad idea, yet.

Series Note: this series should be read in order.

Summary:
Years ago Cory and Remy had a thing for each other, then Remy left for the war and Cory ended up marrying Remy's best friend, Anton. Now Cory is a widow and Remy has been biding his time about reclaiming Cory. Just as the two are reconnecting, a ghost from the past returns and threatens their lives.

Cory and Remy eventually leave and go to stay at the ranch of Remy's friends, Jake, Cree and Jenny (from book 1 in the series). Right from the start, there is a weird chemistry between the group of 5. The group decides to let their sexual desires loose. None of them expected the strong feelings that grew between them. But before they can figure out what is going on between them, the threat to Cory must be dealt with.

Review:
I don't really have much to say about this story. It was really bizarre. I didn't object to the whole 5-some thing in general. I mean, it was a bit much, but I don't really care where people find their happiness as long as everyone is over legal age and consenting.

It was the way the whole thing happened that I didn't care for. First off, I hated that it messed with the relationship between Jake, Cree and Jenny. I liked them as they were. But mostly, the whole thing between the five was so oversimplified and unbelievable.

Suddenly Remy, Jake and Cree are attracted to each other when they never were before, and when Remy had never before been attracted to men. What? That made no sense. It just didn't work at all for me. Too simplistic, too fast moving, too...everything. I didn't buy it at all.

And that's pretty much all I thought about this book. Everything else is overshadowed by the bizarre 5-some that develops.

Do I wish I hadn't read it? Not really. I'm not all that invested in the characters and series to have anything ruined by the weirdness. If you're a die-hard Lynne fan then you may like the book, but beware that it is really strange and changes the whole dynamic of the book 1 HEA.

WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, oral sex, anal sex, m/m sex (oral & anal), m/f/m sex, toys, rough sex, a 5-some HEA relationship, some other stuff, and total over-the-top sexuality.

Those women who trashed Ben's Wildflower spoke too soon. They should have waited till this installment came out then they'd really have had something to talk about.

The writing throughout the series is already amateurish but I was prepared to let it pass, my expectations being so low as I'd mentioned. In Book 4, where there are 3 guys and 2 women, the entire series has degenerated to an incredibly ludicrous level.

Remy is in love with Cory but after they've battled through their troubles, Remy acts on his desire for Jenny who also has the hots for him. Jenny is Jake's wife who he shares with Cree (Branded By Gold, Book 1) and she feels bad about this so she has a chat with Cory. Cory is fine with sharing her husband with Jenny but I can't remember if Cory gets to share Jake and Cree who are still devouring each other like they'd just met. No wonder Jenny started looking to Remy.

Anyway, to say this book is a farce is being very generous. I was so darned relieved to come to the end of the story without reading that Jenny and Cory were doing it with each other.

I skipped Book 3 which was about Gabe and two other guys. No female in that one, I think. I couldn't read another Men In Love book after Completing The Circle. In fact, I haven't dared read another Carol Lynne even though she's been churning out several m/m stories.

I love books with threesomes, foursome- anything with multiple partners, I'm there. But with a full cast also comes the responsibility of full emotions, and good timing. And that's where this book falls short.
Completing the Circle is about a woman named Cory who hid her pregnancy from the man she loved, and ended up marrying an abusive man. The husband dies in a boat explosion, and Cory and Remy - the man she was in love with- are reunited. They decide to close up the bar and move in with a few friends for security.
And here's where things go wrong(IMO)
I tried really hard to ensure myself that all the characters have met and interacted in this way before, but all this self persuasion takes away from the story. The attraction seems rushed, and it was treated as a business deal rather than an exploration into the unfamiliar. That takes a bit of romance out of it.
Also- and I've been noticing this a lot in romance books- exclamations of I-Love-You are given way too quickly! What happened to the days when confessions of love were planned out, where someone would fix a romantic setting for their loved one(s), and when the confession was finally made, after a day of special surprises, they would embrace in a bout of passion, leaving the reader weepy, elated, and satisfied.
Those days are gone.
Finally, and I don't know about you(if you've read it, of course), but at times, weren't you waiting for Remy to attack her? After he, I constantly tensed myself for the moment when Remy would lash out at her. And while I'm happy that he never did, this left me pondering the point of the whole scene. It wasn't mentioned much after that, and when it was, it was treated as something trifle. What was the point?
Things that Peeved me
-Amir and I will be here for you tonight"...He was acting like the typical jealous husband and she loved it.
After the horrible time with the ex you'd have, wouldn't you be weary of this stuff?
- The scene where Cory confronted her abusive ex in the end was anti-climatic. This on account that not enough emphasis was put on the stalker husband.
In the end, the characters reactions just don't fit, and it takes away from the whole experience.
Sex Scene Rating: 2/5
While the sex scenes were hot, there were some corny, overused phrases used. Also, in some parts, it sounded like a How-To guide for sex.
Overall View

This book could've been a good thriller erotica, but several factors prevented this from happening. This story could've done perfectly fine without the Stalker Abusive Ex situation, and it feels as though the author solely used this to bring the characters together, forgot about this part of the plot for the most of the story, and then close to the end, she remembered and decided to plop in a tame stand-off scene.
-There needed to be way more emphasis on the background of the men, all of them having connections/previously been SEALS. I didn't even realize this until close to the end. Unacceptable.
-I also didn't get enough of a feel for the characters character. If you asked me the personality of Jake, or Cree, all I could've told you was "Perverted".
Overall, a good base for a story, but ruined by lack of content.

This story was beyond bizarre and frankly...Not a good read.

May contain some spoilers...

Cory and Remy had a thing for each other years ago but when Remy went off to the military Cory married someone else. Turns out this guy was an abusive jerk who dies in an explosion. Remy and Cory are reunited and get a second chance at love. So far, so good since I really like second chance romances.

When they go and stay at Remy's friend's ranch things take a turn for the worse in this story. These friends are Jenny, Cree, and Jake from Book one who live in a group marriage. Suddenly there is "sexual tension" between all members of this household and they begin to act on it. Remy suddenly has an attraction to Cree, Jake (who seems to have the libido of a 16 year old) hooks up with Cory...it was like the author tried to push the envelope with the erotic elements and lost all legitimacy to the story. There was no build up to these relationships at all. At one point Cree basically walks into a room naked and Remy is all set to go.

Worst was when Remy begins to put the moves on Jenny after the woman he waited YEARS for has just faced down her abusive ex AND after Jenny had just given birth. Shouldn't he have been with his wife? Comforting her and seeing to HER needs? Just a terrible read.

Really enjoyed this outing from Carol Lynne, Remy & Cory were childhood sweethearts, but when their best friend Andton convinced her that Remy wasn't coming back for her and her unborn child, she married him instead. Six months later she lost the baby and entered a life of abuse by her husband which only ended when he was killed in a boat explosion. Two years later, Remy has returned from being a Navy SEAL and is helping Cory run the bar - but as tensions rise and Cory is convinced Anton isn't dead, they head off to the Triple Spur, a ranch owned by their friends, Jake, Cree & Jenny Sommers and their new born twins. Can they find a place with their friends and help Cory out of her dilemma?

Most of the guys and gals from the previous books are here as they fight to save Cory and Remy.

I don't know how I feel about them making Jake, Cree & Jenny's threesome a fivesome.. Especially since we didn't get even attraction vibes from Jake, Cree and Remy in Branded by Gold it just seemed strange and altogether abrupt in my opinion!! Like Suddenly Remy is Bi.. Plus he's worked with these guys how long and he just now having feeling even though prior to this book they lived together while protecting Jenny! Seems implausible!!

She ruined Branded by Gold by doing this IMO!! tbh.. Like WTF FRIGGING HELL, IN MY MIND THIS BOOK WAS NEVER WRITTEN!

This was pretty good, some unexpected events arose. Lot of free love going on in this one. There all just one big happy family. I thought it was weird how they almost die and then they go to the ranch and discover they might like to join in another family. I find it interesting that these men like it both ways and it's all good that they are sharing there wives with each other. Thought of the hippies and the summer of love and all that.

This fourth installment in the Men in Love series, sees a rather interesting twist. We see this new trio uniting with the trio from Branded by Gold, and though at first I was a tad uncomfortable with the new sexual dynamics, this new "family" does work. There are group sex scenes that may make some erotica readers uncomfortable.

I have read my fair share of erotica, but this book was just in a total genre of its own. I like books that leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling. This book left me with heart burn. I spent most of the time feeling sorry for Cory. It wasn't the m/m stuff that turned my stomach. It was Remy's sudden need for male on male attention. Not a read I will go back to time and time again.

Пара MF влюбляется в семью MMF оО. Это угар, я в них запуталась и вообще всё это просто нереально и ни в какую любовь в данном случае я не поверила. Ещё интересно, как они деньги зарабатывают - день поработали, неделю в постели ))

I thought this would be my favorite of the series because I liked Remy, but I thought the whole group thing was too much.
