It was a good anthology. There are a lot of stories featuring religion, grief, or friendship as major plot points. (I am one of the authors in this book.)

My favorites (in order of publication) :
Christmas Letter by Robin Currie -- I like this for the raw honesty the character hangs on to in the end.
The Ambassador by Caroline Grace -- This chilling story feels very plausible. Excellent read.
Sea Princess by Autumn Fenton -- Excellent imagery. Very realistic.
Matilijas by C. Lee McKenzie -- Very powerful and well-written.
Nan's Spirit by J Lenni Dorner -- I wrote it, so yes, I love it. Hopefully it makes people think.
Scattered Debris by Jaimi-Lynn Smith -- Anyone have some extra tissues? Is there a cardiologist in the house? My heart needs to be sewn back together, please!
The Lucky Ones by Susan Van Sciver -- Whoa. This is fantastic writing! I'm not sure how it didn't win. I hope this author publishes a book, because I want to buy it.
