A hardcover collection of Trolls stories, each of which can be read aloud in five minutes.
Based on the DreamWorks Animation movie and TV series Trolls, girls and boys ages 3 to 7 will love to read eight Troll-tastic tales in this hardcover collection of stories featuring the adventures of Poppy, Branch, and all their friends. Each story can be read in five minutes or less, so it's perfect for bedtime--or anytime!
I did enjoy reading some of the Trolls stories that I had not read before. I especially liked "Out of Branch's Bunker", which is basically the story told in the movie from Branch's perspective. "Dance! Hug! Sing!" is also nice because it goes through the main characters and some of their defining features, which is great for kids just getting in to Trolls or for parents who are completely flabbergasted by this new Trolls phenomenon.
Good variety of stories and artwork styles, which makes the book interesting. Plus, for $12.99, it's a pretty good deal considering buying each book separately would be much more expensive. Good collection for avid Trolls fans.
I preordered this book, so I was excited when it showed up. We hadn’t purchased many of the smaller paperback Trolls stories. Only the Big Golden Book of Trolls. *If, I had purchased the other little books, I would have been a bit disappointed. But I did not, so I was excited.
The storylines are all fairly cute and simple. There did seem to be a couple minor things a bit different than the movies/tv shows/etc.
-Poppy finds a baby Tarantapuff and takes her to Ginger Jo to help raise him. Instead, Bridget the Bergen helps take it home to his family.
-Branch hears a chirping sound everywhere. Turns out, a little egg of a bird like creature was in his hair. It hatched and was able to find his mom.
-Guy Diamond leaves trails of glitter everywhere and Poppy follows where they lead.
-Branch’s version of the whole Trolls story
-Alternative retelling of Trolls
-and more.
Very durable, I love the feel of the softer hard cover. Pages are cute and stylish.

Most of these stories are repeats from other books, tell the story of the movie, or are more short informative clips rather than a full story. It is a fun and simple collection for small children, but if you're collecting Trolls stories, it will seem very duplicative. As with most Trolls stories, you'll find lots of sparkles and they love playing with the text to make it more artsy, just like Poppy's scrapbook. Stories in this collection include the following:
Trolls Dance! Hug! Sing! Drop the Beat! Everything That Glitters is Guy! Out of Branch's Bunker The Sound of Spring Happy Troll-O-Ween

If the first book you read in the new year sets the tone for the rest of the year, than 2024 is going to be the year of singing and dancing and hugging, and singing and hugging, and dancing and hugging over and over and over again.
For me, it was fine? The kids, especially Evie, LOVED IT. And they haven't even seen the movie! I couldn't even entertain the thought of leaving this at Poppa's house in AZ because I honestly didn't want to listen to how much they missed that book. You damn well bet I surprised them on the plane with it on the way home.
8, 5-minute tales based off characters from the Dreamworks movie Trolls. Cute and engaging stories. The first story is a recap of the movie and their is a second version of the story told later from Branches viewpoint. All the rest are fun original stories that praise friendship!
