We didn't really use this lab manual, much. As long as you or your lab partner had the book you were fine. Every person in the room didn't need it. We all had it and we all paid for it. We didn't even do the exercises as from the book. No really. They would print out the experiments they wanted us to do and a lot of the time they didn't coincide with any of exercises in the book. I realize it may be different for different classes/locations but this felt like a waste of money, or at least space. We used it for a reference when determining the placement of individual parts of a system (though the same pictures were typically also in the lecture text) and for histology. (also, largely in the lecture text). For the purposes of what I needed this wasn't really worth its price or shelf space.
