Book number 3 in the sensitives series by Rick wood. Another great suspenseful read. This book has a lot of emotions happiness sadness doubt fear excitement. It had it all. It also ended on a slight cliffhanger. Will definitely dive into book 4 soon. I highly recommend this series. And happy Halloween to all my Goodreads friends!

This one fell flat for me

Close to Death is the third book in The Sensitives series by Rick Wood. Sadly I have to say after I really enjoyed the first two books, this one fell short for me. The plus the pace was good and there is anyways something going on. A new character, Martin, is introduced and I am curious to see if we will see more of him, personally I wouldn't mind.

Now the plot concept was very interesting and unique, however I felt the execution was just not what it could have been. There were some decisions the author made, and yes it is his book, but to me they just didn't make sense. So we basically, without giving away spoilers, have four main characters, yet they are incapable of talking to each other. It is absolutely infuriating and yes I get it done of it is part to have the plot he developed, however I think the complete lack of communication is ludicrous. People who are friends and even lovers should talk more than these characters do. That to me just ruined it.

Here is to hopi g that the next one will get it back to where this started so I can continue enjoying this series and don't have to call it quits.

My one real problem with this one and why I enjoyed it less than the first two, is that I don't believe that people who work in the supernatural business would work so hard to convince themselves it's not ghosts and demons at work, mucking up their lives. So much of this book was characters (who are professional demon ass kickers and therapist for ghosts) trying to convince themselves nothing supernatural is happening and I didn't buy it. ALSO, was not a fan of how dismissive Julian was of Derek once he got sick. He's DYING, not losing his mind you shit. Needless to say, now I HAVE to read the next two to see if the characters continue to get dumb or they wise up again.

Amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3rd book in the Sensitives series. Full of gore and horror and enough creepiness to give you the chills. Can't wait to read the next one.
Would recommend this series to anyone who loves a supernatural thriller.

Wow another spine tingling, chilling book from Rick. I must admit this book is very disturbing and I felt quite disconcerted after reading.

Loved it.

Brilliant

Another excellent read. This being the 3rd book in the series and it hasn't lost its edge not just appeal. It as still has you captivated and immersed in story. There was the sad part I won't say what as not to spoil it for you. But I. Asher a year it. Was so sad but that I will understand once you have read it. I'm off to read the next book in this series and hope it's going to be just as good as the others. I'd definitely recommend this book and the series anyone who enjoys the supernatural aspect in stories.

On the children's ward of their local Hospital the children are dying in a most macabre way. Derek feels it is a repeat of an occurrence he experienced a few years back, but Julian disagrees.
A beautiful baby girl is born to Oscar but with April deeply comatose she is unaware that she has given birth to their child.
Oscar firmly believes that his baby doesn't have any of the demon traits he was hoping she wouldn't have and with Julian's help, is looking after baby Hayley whilst willing the other love in his life April, will wake up and see their lovely child.

Once again an awesome book in the Sensitives series. It is awful that the demon world figured out a way to return and hurt the crew. April and Oscar are so happy to have a baby. What will this cost them? Julian? Will Martin find this disabled, ragtag group and be able to help them? Only time will tell. Oh, I was incredibly distressed about Derek. Can the group now face what will be coming? Cannot wait for #4!

WOW I did not think I would learn more about Derek.

Being pregnant twice I know something was up with April.

I was glad to see that Martin was in this book and Oscar.

The next book is Demon's Daughter and I can not wait to read it.

This series is a must-read, I cannot wait to read book 4. The characters work well and the storyline puts the hook in you straight away. This is as good as the Edward King series, which I thought was not possible. As I said earlier a must-read.

It escalated so quickly on this one. I wish there love story was given more build up so that it matches with the general feel of the plot. Plot is really good though, just need more scenes to solidify the story make it believable. Ended up not caring about the characters but Derek, love derek

Interesting read, love the mention of cannibalism. This author keeps developing his characters more fully with each new book in the series, so not only is there a new challenge ahead, there are new aspects of the person's dealing with those challenges. Intense book, loved it.

Best installment so far. It starts out like a jackhammer and never lets up. The ending features a cliffhanger that compels the reader to go on to part four. Excellent book!
