Paxton Bluette, the middle Bluette brother, has been in the background of his family’s lives, watching and protecting. He is now looking for Love. Will he find it in Olivia Callahan? If he does, can he hold on and make it work?
From small-town beginnings to the highest levels of education, Olivia Callahan has fought through debilitating circumstances to achieve success. Can she continue to excel and find love at the same time or is she too damaged from her past to make it work?
In this final installment of the Bluette Brother Series, Paxton, the most elusive brother, is stepping out of his brothers' shadow to give listeners a glimpse into his mind and his life.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS. I love the way Bailey tells her stories. Always so uplifting and inspiring. It's almost therapeutic. The way she incorporates Jesus and the gospel in this book is so refreshing. Both Paxton and Olivia had pretty traumatic pasts. Though they both had done some healing separately before coupling, there was so much more to be done. But I love how unproblematic their love was. They fell for one another and they fell fast and hard. As they work on their love and relationship, of course, the past won't stay in the past for either. The Bluette family knows how to do love soooo well, it makes you wish you were part of the family. I love Paxton's stoic demeanor. With his ginger hair and little freckles 🥰😍 he was very observant and exuded all the BDE while praising Jesus. Olivia gave shy and timid vibe. But she was a badass. An educated badass.
This story was told beautifully. Y'all don't sleep on Bailey West. She's an amazing storyteller and I just love how she brings Jesus into her story. Not in a watered-down way. She gives us the real gospel. But don't be mistaken. This is not a Christian book. Just a beautiful love story.
What an amazing ending to the Bluette Men Series!!!! And to take it home was the Quiet Giant himself Paxton Bluette.
Paxton is the quiet brother from book 1 you could see that although he was quiet, he didn't miss a thing, he loved his family unconditionally and made sure they were always together and protecting each other. But he wasn't always quiet, he was talkative, funny and smart. Instead of going to one of the top colleges for College Football that were offering him full scholarships with the next stop being in the NFL, Paxton turned his back on all of that and enrolled in the military. Except when he came home he wasn't the same, he suffered from PTSD and became very quiet. The great thing is that he went to therapy to help him begin to cope outside of the military and to be around his family.
Olivia is starting all over in Houston, TX after finally getting away from her abusive husband and moving away, she begin to start her life over, first up becoming the new director of the ABA School created by Bluette Family. Olivie lived and breathed education, her top priority were teaching the children no matter what their economic or socio background consisted of, she believed every child deserved quality education and she was determined to give it to them.
A chance encounter between Paxton and Olivia in a coffee shop would change their lives forever. Neither understanding the divine move of God was happening right there and they would never be the same. Olivia is able to see who Paxton truly is and he is able to see who Olivia truly is and this is what makes their story so special. I am not saying the other two brothers' stories are not special, no that is not what I am saying here. Olivia and Paxton make the decision to walk together and allow God to bring them both to their perfection.
Well, this is the end of the Bluette Brothers Trilogy. It was a thrilling ride and hopefully, this won't be my last time reading anything by this author. She truly wrote, in my opinion, one of the best Christian romances out there amongst the gazillion that already exists.
Paxton's Peace is the final book in the Bluette series featuring the third brother/cousin Paxton. The story coincides with the previous two stories in the book. Paxton is an ex military man and the church's armor barrier. He's content with his life and not looking for love until he literally runs into Olivia the church's new school administrator. The first part of the book focuses on the troubled past of Paxton and Olivia both had hard childhoods plagued by absent and abusive parents. Paxton is suffering from PTSD from his time in the military and the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. Olivia has self esteem issues from both her mom and dad which lead to being in an abusive marriage for almost 10 years.
I must say at one point the story got a little slow and the author didn't build up the chemistry between the two characters until later in the book. The previous two books the attraction and chemistry was present in the very beginning, this one was a very slow burn.
The author continues to do an excellent job of combining scripture throughout the story and giving life lessons without being too preachy. I found myself highlighting sections throughout the book. Finally, I want to say that this author portrays a realistic picture of real Christians. When Paxton decided that he wanted Olivia to live with him he stepped down from his position at the church so that his brother wouldn't have any problems.
Bailey West is an excellent writer and I definitely look forward to reading her next series. I give this book 4.5 stars.
Often times with a series they tend to get weaker and weaker as the series progress but not this one. I’ve enjoyed every single page of every single book in this series. Not only was I entertained but I was enlightened and learned a few things. I enjoyed reading the love story of Paxton and Olivia. Fantastic job Mrs. West, I can’t wait to read more of your work.
This third novel in the series was so worth the wait! Bailey outdid herself! I love that she explored themes like communication, clarity, forgiveness and being content. This novel is not only inspiring but it also has some great love scenes LOL. The Bluette men are a prototype of what a Christian man should be, upstanding, honorable, integral but most importantly true to themselves. Well done Bailey!
Each new story in the Bluette family saga is another added bonus. I simply adored this couple. They each had a special place in my heart! My goodness, I was so happy for Paxton and his chosen woman. Olivia was his One. Well done Bailey!
Ms. West i really enjoyed the spiritual journey of the Bluette brothers. I love how you intertwine real life issues and keeping God's word right there. A great series!!!
This has been an amazing series hands down. I had to brace myself for Paxton's story because I felt it was deep. I was correct in my assumptions. Paxton's and Olivia's story was heartfelt and moving. I love when people own their stuff. I am going to miss this family of Bluette men and their ladies. I was so caught up in the stories that even the errors didn't make me so mad that I threw the books. I am so glad I kept reading, and kept reading, and kept reading. I feel a little lonely now, lol. I would a book about BJ's life at this point🤣🤣🤣
031722 update
It was good revisiting the Bluette men. There are so many nuggets here. Paxton and Olivia were committed to doing the heavy lifting in their lives for an outcome of love and success. West is an amazing writer. I love seeing God in everyday regular life.
The final installment of the Bluette Men series, gives the reader the backstory of brother/cousin Paxton. How did he come to live in the Bishop and First Lady’s home, and what actually became of his biological parents? These questions, along with others, are answered in this book.
Olivia Callahan was raised by a single mother, while visited by her very married father...occasionally. Following the nudging of her mother, she married a man whose family was well-known in society. She soon found herself in an abusive marriage and running for her life. Then, she meets Paxton Bluette, this big, bear of a man with a secret past.
Together, they help one another heal from the past and look forward to the future.
I loved everything about this 💎💎💎💎💎 book, and will miss these men...providers, protectors, lovers, and leaders. Way to go @authorbaileywest!
🎶Girl, it's only you. Have it your way…… And if you want you can decide. And if you'll have me……I can provide everything that you desire 🎶 🩷🖤🩶
When Paxton told Olivia… “You are a Queen and should be treated as such. Anyone that doesn’t treat you like the gem that you are should not be allowed to breathe the same air as you.” I felt this deeply in my soul!
Not one to be left out Paxton is the final Bluette brother to dive headfirst into the love pool and his story lives up to the expectation that I had! As I mentioned in my previous review, the series overlaps so a lot of details are restated or revisited from book to book.
We know that Paxton had a tumultuous childhood. Growing up in an abusive household he found solace under the roof of his uncle and aunt until a heartbreaking twist of fate landed him there permanently. Paxton grew up somewhat withdrawn as a result and was a loner of sorts until he met Olivia and wanted to pretty much live in her skin.
After all Olivia went through in her previous relationship, she deserved all the love, care and attention that Paxton had to give and I’m so glad that she was ready to soak it up with zero resistance. Watching these two pour into each other warmed my heart. Paxton was smitten and Olivia was infatuated and it showed in their conversations and stolen moments and the way he protected her and the way she nurtured him. If reciprocity was a relationship, it would be Paxton and Olivia’s.
This couple gave me all the feels and I enjoyed every moment of their journey! I cannot get enough of these Bluette men and their women! This was the perfect ending to the series and I’m sad to see them go!
This is my second book in the Bluette Men Series. I skipped Zora and Ezekiel. I wasn't ready because I know Zora's story will be a hard read.
With that being said, I love Paxton and Olivia. Olivia upbringing and beginning of her adult years was sad and then a nightmare. Her mother was her father's mistress while he has a whole family on the other side of town. Her ex-husband was a monster. This man beat his wife so bad she miscarried a baby she didn't know she was pregnant with. He got her caught up in his shady business, tried to have her kidnapped, and then sic a known criminal on her. Well babe, in comes Mr. Paxton Bluette-tall, smart, badass (military), financial savvy with red hair and freckles and fine just like his brothers.
Once these two decide to date and build a relationship, some of the cracks from Pax's past starts to come to the surface. His bio-dad accidentally shot his bio-mom. His parents that raised him are his uncle and aunt. Olivia wasted no time gathering him, sent him to his bio-dad for clarity and forgiveness. Paxton came back ready to marry the love of his life. It was also sweet that Olivia was able to get pregnant after getting her tubes tied. She didn't want to procreate with her abusive ex. I also love that her siblings found out about her and came to Houston to build a relationship with and also enlightening her that their father was a piece of crap. Olivia was lucky not to be raised with him. Great couple and great end to this series.
This is series focus on faith, family, church, and a person's relationship with God. I absolutely love this series. I've started on the Metamorphosis Series and I love me some Pastor Israel.

I almost didn't read this series but I am so glad that I did. Each book just got better. I loved the stories (they kept me interested from beginning to end). The characters were amazing and real (they were no useless characters at all). I loved the scripture and message (spot on each time). This entire series had all the elements of a good read. I felt fully invested in every storyline. I actually cared about the characters and wanted to see them win. Roman and Zanetta kicked off the series with a slow and sweet love; Ezekiel and Zora kicked it up more than a notch with all that passion and fire; Paxton and Olivia kicked, punched, and fought their way through! I can't decide which story was my favorite. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. If you are looking for well developed characters and a storyline that stays true to those characters then this is the series for you. The Bluette Men will not disappoint!
Gosh, this book encapsulated so much--it was a myriad of good things that appealed to my reader senses. There was the sour (domestic abuse, violence, low self esteem) but the sweet (love, redemption, second changes, restitution, and new life that overcame the sweet. This story was also hopeful especially for those that veil their true self for one reason or another. I also adored the thoughtfulness of each character and the great love they displayed for each other; whether it was the Bluette family or the A-Team, it was beautiful how Bailey convincingly captured the ties that bonded all of these people together. There is something so authentic, pure, uncut, and potent about Bailey West's books that you find your self intoxicated and on a book hangover after reading them. This book cements that fact!
This was more than wow... Not only was it the end of the series, which explained more than what this serie was about, but It was the most revealing and rewarding of all. What I like with MS. West, was the way that she not only introduced each book, but each had there own struggles which were all part of our every day life, such as:'death, cancer, domestic violence, child molester, cheating, romance, siblings love, military duties and above all "GOD "..... I loved how MS. West introduced the bible and the explanations of what is "GOD " to each one of us and I can sincerely say that I am a believer and I am going to ask God to send his angels to help me to start believing... Thank you MS. West, this was the best series that I have yet read that was not prudish at all specially it was focused on the church... Pick yourself a copy and enjoy.
I’ve just finished my third “Bluette Men “ book. Each book is not only amazing, but is filled with so much Love, second chances, and most importantly constantly shown examples of how the Love of God works. I guarantee you that you will get so lost into these beautiful stories, that it’s hard to put down the book. This is my first time reading anything written by this Outstanding author, but I promise that I’m going to keep you at the top of my list of exceptional authors, MY Favorite! I just wish that I could give this a 10. I Highly Recommend ready every book! My only problem was I had to keep reading until I was completely done, so I had several all nighters. Thank You Bailey for creating such beautiful stories at the time that I needed most! Ps! I have been reading Every Day since April 2012, some of everything.
Well done Bailey West on a complete series that showed Family, Friends and Faith. There is no perfect person but there is a perfect God. Reading the Bluette series Bailey captured what is most important in this Christian walk: a solid relationship with Christ. Not one where we do everything legalistic but where we operate in the grace and love of God.
That is what we have with Olivia and Paxton story. It is important to see forgiveness at work. How strongholds keep one from their future.
In this you see family supporting and uplifting one another. You see an unwavering commitment. The story makes you smile . And have you rooting for success.
Listen!!! The Holy Spirit used Bailey West. She was dropping WISDOM on marriage, healing, faith, and family.
Pax and Olivia were cute and I enjoyed their story. But their story alone for me was 3-4 star worthy. There were some cheesy and forced elements. But overall it was nice.
But when you add in the back story of learning how to heal, and what it takes for a successful marriage. And the importance of knowing God for yourself and just not blindly following church protocols and rituals. Oh I loved it. Bailey West was dropping gems.
Great conclusion to the series, although I haven’t read book 1. Everyone got what they needed.
I feel a personal connection to this series, so I'm a bit biased in my assessment. Maybe it's because it seems like its about people you know or the "realness" of the characters and the connection you feel to them.
I wondered how Bailey would top Blue's Beauty, then again after Ezekiels Passion. But ladies and gentlemen, she had dun it!
I can't talk about this book without giving away important information, so I'll just tell you, get this book! Matter of fact, get all three! Read them all! You laugh, cry, and clutch your pearls, and a myriad of other emotions. It's a story of hope, love, forgiveness and redemption. Listen... Just go get it! 💖 💖 💖
Over the last 3 days I have read every Bailey West book I could get my hands on. Let me tell you, I am a true fan. I had read a couple of books before but reading them in order (Valentines and Bluettes) had me laughing and crying along with rooting for my favorite couples to make it work. Paxton and Olivia’s story overlapped Ezekiel and Zora’s story and also continued Roman and Zanetta’s story. I felt like I had a front row seat to all the actions. The parents, siblings, and friends in these stories lets me know there is more great things to come. Thank you for sharing your gift, Bailey West and I can’t wait for the next story!
I had to start off with that because my spirit felt it, which made my spirit say it, so it can be so. I can do all things through the mighty man that strengthens me. This story was by far on the same level as Blue's Beauty in my opinion. The level of spirit that was moving around and in my soul as I read was uncontrollably heavy on me. I don't know if it is, because of some of the same experiences, scriptures or words spoken. I just don't know but this was beautiful, I just can't figure out yet, but this series is an excellent and great read. Loved it from beginning to end. ReneeG 👍
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Bluette Men Series. In Paxton’s Peace, I love how Olvia learned to love herself and fight back. I was so happy that she was given the opportunity to receive unconditional love. That was really sweet and exciting. I loved how Paxton was finally able to come full circle and forgive both his parents which enabled him to completely love. Just an feel good all over kind of story. Even with the trials and tribulations that all families face. I also loved the word of prophesy over the whole family at the end of the story. Let the church say Amen. P.S. I would love to check in on the children as they grow.
As I wipe the tears from my eyes, all I can say is, you saved the best for last. I thoroughly enjoyed the other two books, but this one, whew, ended with such power and anointing that I could feel it from every page. There were so many parallels in this book, it would take me too long to list them all. I read Epiphany first and reading that made me wonder about the other people from that book and then I found Pastor Blue's book. I'm hooked!! I think I may read Epiphany again just to refresh my memory (I only read it 3 days ago). I can't recommend this series enough.
When I read the first and second books of this series, I was skeptical about how the third would measure up! I dear say…it’s my fave! And that’s saying a lot because I absolutely loved book 1!
I really like the interplay between Christianity and romance/carnal desire in these books. The characters are humanized in a way that is not often written about. And they (the Bluette men) are scripted in a way that does not compromise who they are and what they believe.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series! This author is now officially on my list of faves! A must read series!
This story was so amazing and gave me all the feels. It touched on so many topics, but I was able to take away valuable lessons from each. This story made me laugh fully and completely so much that I often had to read the pages twice to get through. Paxton and Olivia found their perfect peace with God and with each other. They both had to let go and find their own strength in order to love each other like they needed and wanted. I have enjoyed reading this story and this series. I love the Bluette family and will miss reading about them.
I rarely give five stars. Each book in this series got better and better. A complicated love story at its best. I could NOT PUT it down! Ms. Bailey....This is God given talent. The way you weaved these stories together but wrote them to stand alone is NOTHING short of being a genius! I am gonna have to acquaint myself with your catalog. I could go on and on....For example just the right amount of hot sex, combined with scripture and self love, and healing and forgiveness. I really could go on. Well done, This book deserves five stars.
From books one and two we came to know Paxton as the quiet one. Yes we knew her served in the Army too. In his own book we learn Paxton is NOT so quiet and that he was a total Bad A%& at what he did in the Army. And Ms. Olivia, she truly is THAT WOMAN, period end of story. All she achieved while going through it; what she witnessed and heard from her own mother, yet still maintained her respect for her.! I was so happy reading all the blessing she was showered with. And Paxton too.
This third installment in the Bluette Brothers series allows us to get into the minds and hearts of Paxton and Olivia. I enjoyed the details into the past lives of these two. I liked how much stronger Olivia became and how that helped to impact Paxton’s behavior as well. I do think the dialogue could’ve used more contractions and compound sentences, so it sounds less robotic and more conversational. A few less “yes’s “ and more “yeps/yeahs” would’ve flowed better too. Overall, I enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more from this author.
Again, I like this book. It was a good way to end the Bluette Series. I like Pax and Olivia. I was glad how they could read it each other. it was good that Pax had to resolve his issues with his biological parents. BW changed it up a little because in the first two books, Nigel (Pax's biological father)was saying he was trying to kill his family. Wish she had kept it that way, but it was still good for her to showcase how forgiveness can occur later on as well as how you can revisit situations through "adult eyes" and see them differently then when you were a child.

Now that's how you conclude a series. Great job to this relatively new author. The Bluette Men are men to have. Paxton is swoon worthy. This book shows how you can mend from broken pieces. Olivia and Paxton had some adversity to overcome but they did it together. I would love to see more from this family but if not it was concluded beautifully. I loved every minute of it.
