Amish Rescue is action packed with complex characters with this story about Sarah Miller, the youngest sister. Sarah had been fed lies since childhood and her life was filled with fear with her captor’s abuse toward her. Sarah’s escape into Joachim Burkholder’s buggy when he stopped by his old neighbor’s home, Hazel Thomin, as he traveled to his parents home after being gone for 5 years. Seeing the farm of the Thomin in disrepair he thought he could obtain work, but the son, Victor, was hostile toward him. Sarah’s story came out and Joachim wanted to protect her, but how when they lived so close to where she had been held? There were so many unforeseen twists and turns that kept the pages turning till I knew what was going to happen. The story was intense at times with lives in danger, others disappearing, and hidden secrets that made this a great suspense book. The ending was filled with some astonishing surprises.

Readers will want to read the first two books in this series, Amish Refuge and Undercover Amish, even though this book does provide enough of the background to be read as a standalone. I was glad to hear today there will be another book to follow, as I want to know how the lives of the Miller sister’s are going in their community. I don’t want to spoil the series by saying more about Miriam, Hannah, and Sarah Miller.

A sister's love is forever.

Amish Rescue is the third outstanding story written by Debby Giustii in her amazing Amish Protectors series. This story will take the reader back to Willkomme, Georgia for another powerful story of human trafficking involving the Amish. This story centers around Sarah and the strict she had endured. Sarah is the youngest sister who had been abducted in the fatal carjacking in the first story. Both Miriam and Hannah fear they will never she Sarah again. In this story the monster Victor pushes the story up a few notches with all that he does. But through all the sadness there are three amazing stories of survival. There is drama and suspense on nearly every page that will have the reader turning pages to find the outcome. I loved the characters, the storyline, and the conclusion. No spoilers however.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. All opinions expressed are solely my own but honest. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Congratulations to Debby Giusti on writing a third riveting story of suspense, love, faith and family to continue her series.

If you've been following the Amish Protectors series you'll be excited to finally find out what happened to Sarah. If you haven't read the first two books - no worries -- this one reads fine as a standalone too. It's just that now that Miriam and Hannah have been reunited it's time for Sarah to take part in a sisterly happily ever after too. But first she has to escape the clutches of a deranged kidnapper!

Joachim happens to be in the right place at the right time to offer assistance. This unlikely pair team up to expose the evil men behind a human trafficking ring. Both hero and heroine struggle with believing in themselves as they search for a place to belong. Joachim is Amish, Sarah is Englisch so a romance is impossible and yet neither can deny that sense of belonging they've been yearning for happens whenever they are together. Love that kind of doomed romance...of course, knowing that the author will ensure that it doesn't stay doomed. :-)

Guisti does a great job of blending sweet romance and gripping suspense into a thrilling series conclusion.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Amish Rescue. This is the third book in the Amish Protectors Series. I really like Amish books and I really like suspense books so Debbie's book are some of my favorites. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it. I did! I especially liked the end.

Englisher Sarah Miller was abducted and held by a Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The man bought her years ago after her mother was killed. Her and her sister were held captive in a cabin for awhile. Someone had taken Miriam away. Victor had bought her and kept her in his home as a prisoner to care for his mother. Up until today he had never abused her but today everything changed. She must escape. A young Amish man came to ask for work from her abuser. Victor hires him and when the man leaves Sarah is hidden in the back of the buggy.

Joachim Burkholder is a farmer. He is returning home to hopefully reconcile with his estranged datt. Five years ago his brother was killed and his datt blamed him, not anymore than he blamed himself. On his way home he stops at his neighbor to see if they would want him to repair the grand old house. He sees a young woman in the upstairs window. She looks so sad. He talks to Victor and agrees to work for him. Victor takes him around the house to see what needs to be done. He notices the tarp in the back of his buggy has been moved as he leaves. He soon figures out he has a stow a way. He is appalled when he finds that she has been force to be a slave and is determined to help her.

A struggle of two broken souls trying to find peace in a world of chaos. Memories from the past keep them apart until their love for each other takes over. God has a plan for these two, a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. A plan for a hope and a future.Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.

Amish Rescue by Debby Giusti
Another thrilling book in the Amish Protectors series
Hiding with the Amish
Englischer Sarah Miller escapes her captor by hiding in the buggy of an Amish carpenter. Joachim Burkholder is her only hope—and donning Plain clothing is the only way to keep safe and find her missing sister. But for Joachim, who’s just returning to the Amish, the forbidden Englischer is trouble. Trapping her kidnapper risks his life, but losing Sarah risks his heart.
This is Sarah Miller and Joachim Burkholder's story.
She was trapped. The basement was dank and smelled of mildew. She’d been foolish to reenter the house, and now Joachim was upstairs with her former captor, giving her her only chance to escape.
Muffled voices came from the kitchen, followed by footfalls as the men exited the house.Sarah started for the stairs...but stopped when a scratching sound came from the other side of the basement. Though she had little time to waste, she followed the sound to a padlocked door.
Joachim couldn’t keep her captor occupied much longer. She had to get out now.
Joachim Burkholder guided the buggy along the mountain road. He had come home like the prodigal son. Except he had not squandered money or lived a life of debauchery. He was, instead, coming home to reconcile with his father. At least that was his plan.
I highly recommend reading.
I am looking forward to reading more books by Debby Giusti.

Amish Rescue, by Debby Giusti, is the third book in the Amish Protectors series and it drew me in right from the start as Sarah is finally able to escape from her vicious captor. The story continues with the human trafficking theme from the first two books but with mostly new characters. It can be read as a stand-alone as the author does a good job of filling in the background of the story. Sarah was kidnapped two months ago and has lived in fear. She'd been told sometimes we want what cannot be but then is she even sure what she wants? Joachim has lived with an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and despair for the last five years. Would he find relief now that he had returned home? She is Englisch, he is Amish, like it or not the two could never mix, right? I loved these characters and how the Amish community is always willing to help in time of need. Giusti does a great job depicting the setting and bringing out realistic and relatable situations of family issues and past secrets. I won a copy of the book in a contest and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

Good series

This is the final installment of of the Protector Series. THis series deals with three sisters MIriam, Hannah and Sarah. Two of the sisters were captured and held for a time and one was stalked . All found refuge and all were trying to find their other sisters. This is Sarah's story and Joachim Burkholder's.

Good strong characters, nail biting and a believable story makes this story a " got to finish" read.

I loved the whole story and the characters. I love stories about the Amish and a different way of life. The story had a happy ending although it was difficult read at times but knowing that abductions are happening in our lifetime.

**** I have mixed feelings about this book. For the most part I enjoyed it. It was fast paced and it kept me intrigued. It was also different in “suspense aspect”. The part that was a bit hard to get my brain through was it seemed a bit too far fetched and extreme.

Very good story that wrapped up the series nicely. I would definitely start with book 1 even though you could read this as stand alone.

Poor editing. Ridiculous plot. Good for people who want something religious, not sexy, and have a couple of other storylines thrown in.

I am so glad that this book wrapped up the Miller girls' story in such a wholesome way. This story definately had me asking the most questions out of all of the books so far but I was glad they were all answered by the end. I loved the suspense that this book held and the tense moments, especially because Sarah wasn't the only one in trouble. There were some moments I did not see coming but those only added to the appeal of the story. I wish we could get a follow up, maybe a few years later, to see how everyone is doing in their new family dynamics. Overall, great series. The only reason it was a 4 star instead of 5 was because some of it felt repetative of the last three books.

I've editted this.
This is the third book in a series she has written. In it I meet the final sister Sarah Miller. Joachim is returning home to make peace with his father and to return to his Amish roots. This is a story about slavery which is a tough topic. Its not heavy nor light but it gives you look into the fears of someone who has been captive for a while. lts a story about acceptance and about forgiveness. Its a great story and worth a read. The way she weaves the story draws you into the story and it will have you turning the pages to find out what will happen next. I love the way Debby writes a story. I'm looking forward to her next book for she always has a good book to read.

Amish Rescue by Debby Giusti

I read this book as part of a 2-in-1 book: Amish Rescue by Debby Giusti and Courting Her Amish Heart by Mary Davis (2 novels)

Suspense and mystery, faith and love. I enjoyed parts of each story and the challenges the characters face.

~I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher via CFRR 2019 (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~

Wish my library would carry her wonderful books - I sometimes read 3 books a week and it gets too expensive to buy them all. Amish books are the best -good mystery while a great clean book.
