This books went into good detail on the gold rush but felt unorganized at times and I wish it was told more chronologically. Half the book is primary sources and although interesting are better if you need to write a paper than reading for fun. If you want to learn about the gold rush for whatever reasons it’s really good but not the best for personal reading. Also I really hated the font.
