Intrigue, battles, magic, what other trouble can Gellia get herself into? I'm this one you get to see just how much more complicated life can be as she learns how to navigate the empire. Also, Cassius proves to be as cunning as I'd hoped. Very entertaining read. Well developed characters and universe, and the writing is excellent. Looking forward to book 3
