The last thing sensible maid Hannah Wilson expects is to be whisked off to a glamorous party by Sheikh Kulal Al Diya. Their intense chemistry and searing kiss lead to the most amazing night of her life—with the most shocking consequences! Now Kulal will do anything to claim his heir. Even if it means making Hannah his desert queen!
I was told off as a child for making up stories—little did I know that one day I’d earn my living by writing them!
To the horror of my parents, I left school at sixteen and held a bewildering variety of jobs: I was a London DJ (in the now-trendy Primrose Hill), a decorator and a singer. After that I became a cook, a photographer and, eventually, a nurse. I waitressed in the south of France, drove an ambulance in Australia, saw lots of beautiful sights but could never settle down. Everywhere I went I felt like a square peg—until one day I started writing again and then everything just fell into place. I felt like Cinderella must have when the glass slipper fit!
Today, I have the best job in the world, writing passionate romances for Harlequin. I like writing stories which are sexy and fast-paced, yet packed full of emotion—stories that readers will identify with, laugh and cry along with.
My interests are many and varied—chocolate and music, fresh flowers and bubble baths, films, cooking and trying to keep my home from looking burglarized! Simple pleasures—you can’t beat them!
I live in Winchester, one of the most stunning cities in the world, but don’t take my word for it—come see for yourself! I regularly visit London and Paris. Oh, and I love hearing from my readers all over the world…so I think it’s over to you!
That's how I felt after I finished reading this novel: as if I'd just crossed off another book on my reading list for this year. I didn't feel any lingering happiness that comes after one's just read the last lines of a beautiful romance story. This was OK. It didn't wow me and I never got the sense that there was any intense passion between the MC's. It seemed as if the heroine was the one who had stronger feelings and the H was a closed book until the very end when he suddenly declares that he loves her. I really needed to see how his feelings developed. Sharon Kendrick had done a better job in The Italian's Christmas Secret of developing her H. In this novel, I didn't get that opportunity to delve into the H's mind, which is why I cannot rate this as high as The Italian's Christmas Secret. I need to believe that a H really loves his heroine and it's only in the epilogue of this novel that Kulal actually shows some real love for Hannah.
The beginning was great though although I did manage to roll my eyes a few times at Kulal's absolute vanity:
He expected her to meet his gaze with a knowing look of challenge, for he had never met a woman who wouldn't put out for him in the first few minutes of meeting.
Yeah, this is how I pictured Kulal:
Ok I'll stop being an asshole. This is how I actually imagined Kulal would appear:
I really wanted to love this novel but there was little real connection between the MC's except for their sexual attraction and even the sex scenes were a bit too mild. The first sex scene was sort of tepid and that surprised me, because I would've expected a lot more heated sensuality from this author. Hannah was a rather bland heroine and I couldn't quite grow to identify with her, even though she was a likable character. Kulal did seemed most preoccupied with her very excellent boobs and voluptuous curves though:
The author did deal with the MC's childhood problems as key issues that affected both their individual development and their relationship. Kulal was also an honorable H because he intended to be a faithful husband even though their marriage would just be one of convenience. There were a lot of positive things in this novel but somehow the writing didn't successfully translate all of it into a spectacularly romantic story. The novel felt a bit disjointed at times and the ending was rushed. It just didn't hit the right spots for me personally, but I must add that I didn't find anything in it to hate. The epilogue was nice but it still couldn't improve my overall impression of the story. This might just be case of my personal response to the novel; maybe other readers might find it wonderful. It definitely was not as well written as The Italian's Christmas Secret.
I read so many books yesterday that I am having trouble remembering which is which. I really did like this one. Another chamber maid sleeping with a guest and getting pregnant. This one is a sheikh and they definitely had passion but he would never have looked at her again if she wasn't pregnant. I just felt that but in the end he won me over.
The journey to happily ever after left me feeling underwhelmed. I was not convinced the hero loved the heroine. He didn't show his love. He kept pushing the heroine away. Then in the last chapter before the epilogue, he tells her he loved her. I didn't believe it. Even their first intimacy hook up lacked chemistry.
I almost gave up reading in the beginning because I thought the hero was a hypocrite for being into green energy while flying around in gas fueled private planes. In fiction, an activist can be written as someone who practices what they preach.
I did like the epilogue but it wasn't good enough to add an extra star.
the H was ....! 🤔 just give me a minute ! because it's really hard to describe such a man with a few words ! so let's say horrible cold hearted arrogant rude I HATED HIM he was so mean to her , he doesn't deserve her ! 2 stars for the h and her daughters 😑

Maybe I need to switch genres, but I wasn't very impressed with this. This book is the companion to "The Greek's Bought Bride", which takes place immediately before and then after the wedding in this book.
I just couldn't connect with either MC and I didn't see how they really connected to each other. They had great s**, but little else to bind them. I know it was mentioned that before they "got together", Hannah and Kulal would talk about all kinds of subjects, but after the wedding.... nothing.
The epilogue was also a little strange. A daughter first, then triplet girls? Before, it was stated that only the royal doctor was to know the gender of the expected baby. Why???

Hannah Wilson is always a woman that does the right thing, but when she gets involved with a hotel guest where she’s a maid, she never imagined her time with Sheikh Kulal Al Diya would turn her life upside down the way it does. However, when she discovers she’s pregnant, she’s determined to find and tell the man she had a one-night stand with the consequences of their incredible night together. But when he proposes, Hannah knows accepting could leave her heartbroken, especially since the hero is so against falling in love with someone. Will Hannah be able to handle a loveless marriage or will she walk away from the man that makes her happy?
From innocent maid... ...to the sheikh's pregnant queen! The last thing sensible maid Hannah Wilson expects is to be whisked off to a glamorous party by Sheikh Kulal Al Diya. Their intense chemistry and searing kiss lead to the most amazing night of her life--with the most shocking consequences! Now Kulal will do anything to claim his heir. Didn't like it, I just really disliked the hero so much. He said so many hurtful things to the heroine on purpose, things to put distance between them. I also didn't feel like there was a strong connection between the two of them, if there wasn't a baby there paths never would have crossed again, hero didn't feel that strong of a pull to seek heroine out despite himself. P.
I couldn't connect with the characters in this book. Perhaps, I read it after reading two 5 star sheikh romances released in this month and therefore found it wanting... very mediocre.
Crowned for the Sheikh’s Baby, Book 43 of the One Night With Consequences series, was about Hannah Wilson and Sheikh Kulal Al Diya. Hannah, who worked at the London branch of a major hotel chain, was "on loan" to one of the sister hotels on the Sardinian island during a conference due to them being understaffed. With Kulal occupying the hotel with his other rich contemporaries for a conference on the island of Sardinia, the manager told her that she would work solely with the Sheik while he was there due to some unfortunate business with women trying to get to him by any means necessary. Kulal, having seen Hannah a few days before she was assigned to him full time, could not stop thinking about her. After several days of constantly being in her presence, he invited her to a party after which they became intimate. Having informed her it was only for one night, he never expected to see or hear from her again. Yet, when she arrived in his country, he was angry. He believed she was there to tearfully confess to being in love with him in order to get him to commit to her. However, when she told him she was pregnant, things went horribly wrong. In the end, they were married for the sake of the baby...something he didn't want and he was brutally honest with Hannah. Kulal was a hateful, vicious man who, because of his past, repeatedly abused Hannah emotionally, all the while manipulating her at every turn. Hannah tried to stand up for herself each time she confronted him, but Kulal just kept twisting her into knots until she had nothing left to give. For the author to expect the reader to accept, after all the hateful things Kulal had said and done to Hannah, that he would just so quickly turn around and change on the spot was unforgivable...and totally unacceptable. Hannah should have given a different response to the supposed change and never looked back. This story was just one angst after another, so full of drama that there was truly no room for anything else. All the negative emotions a person could possibly feel were thrown into the mix of this plot and they detracted from what could have been a very enjoyable book. There was no humor to ease the tension created by the barrage of hate and distrust that filled Kulal. It just settled on the reader like a dark, heavy shroud that never lifted. This wasn't a love story so much as it was a man dealing with childhood hurts and needed intense psychological therapy in order to be able to function as a normal human being...a man who, due to not having that therapy, thrust all of his bad feelings onto anyone and everyone who came into his line of sight, especially Hannah. Kulal was more in lust with her than in love, and nothing will convince me otherwise. Therefore, there will be no five-star rating from me for this book. It just didn't deserve it.
Like writer's have writer's block, I'm a reader having reader's block. Can't explain it but couldn't muster the interest/desire to look for and find a book so I made the effort and settled on a book that should be easy to read, not challenging, a romance novel. I haven't read a Harlequin novel in ages because they're often so painfully corny to read but I realize I'm a snob so I decided to broaden my horizons and found this book to be least objectionable. I liked it, more than I thought I would. A smooth easy read. Of course there was some over the top writing, but it was only about a paragraph and a half or so, two different instances that were really annoying. Otherwise, I liked the characters, I liked the conflict, I really liked the ending. The way it was put together, what happened in what order was very well done.
It was a happy ending with the Prince getting over his issues from childhood. However, [SPOILER] the prince didn't have much of a relationship with his mother so when she killed herself and he was away, I would think it would not have bothered him as much as it did.
He finally reveals why he is so emotionally distant and intends to remain that way. She goes away to think it all over, to decide if she can live that way, he rescues her and they have an emotional discussion that leads to his epiphany and his proclamation of love. The proclamation seems a bit... too much of an about face, but I suppose it was necessary and it does fit. The books touches on the issues of mental health and the need for professional help and I think that's commendable and fits in very well with the story. The rest of the story shows the prince working through his issue and the epilogue wraps things up nicely. I think the best part of the book is from his big reveal to the end. All well handled, put together.
I may get this book, it was good, better than the average Harlequin, though that's not hard. I recommend it especially if you like to read romances. I intend to look into other books the author has written and read those too.

Skandal satu malam mengakibatkan pernikahan terpaksa.

Hannah is minding her own business and doing her job when she is given a specific duty to become the Sheikh's personal maid as she does her job and disappears so the elite do not even know she is there. The Sheikh decides he must take her to a party so the eligible women would not clammor to him, He takes her to bed and leaves her pregnant. He does his duty and marries her even though he doesn't want to and he makes her his queen. It is the happily ever after you expect. It is always fun getting there through the story.
One of the book that kept me continue reading nonstop. It's about Hannah, a hotel house keeper who get involved in a one night stand with Kulal (a desert King) and ended up pregnant. I love how calm yet persistent Hannah is when facing Kulal who's in denial state about the pregnancy. All the dialogues were moderately good and I like the ending.
This is a story that you need to stick with. At first when you start reading it you think it’s a typical Sheikh seduces girl and she gets her pregnant. This story is very different lots of family drama that needs to be resolved before these two are happy! Great book worth reading,
Esiste l'amore a prima vista?
The story was good with a great flow. The characters were well developed and found you wanting things to work out for them. A good love story with a great plot.
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone Part of a Series?: No ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Hannah Wilson Sheikh Kulal Al Diya ---------------------------------- What happens? She goes to his country to announce she is pregnant so she can get the weight of her mind of him not knowing.
