Incorporate advancements in immunology with a big-picture study of immume reponse using the experimental focus of Kuby Immunology to find success at the undergraduate level for this course.
"Don't know much about immunology"...this is my go-to reference for all things immunology coz Kuby knows immunology. Very clear explanations of immuno-concepts backed up with data, great illustrations, perfect order of presenting immuno-concepts, perfect formats with perfect sideboxes of additional supporting info... I'm always on the lookout for the next edition because the field of immunology changes so much like a chupacabra; it's a challenge to keep up. Not sure chupacabras change. I just like saying chupacabra.
This is my go to book for immunology. It has been beautifully written and genuinely ignites interest in the subject. The illustrations, tables and boxes on ‘visualizing concept’ are true gems!
Best textbook for any undergraduate student in biological sciences. The book' silent features are: *Good language. *Glossary for variety of terms used. *Chapters arrangement is great- allows good flow *Illustrations are great! *Basic concepts in a capsule! With sufficient amount of detail.
Typically, I don't even buy a textbook for a class. However, my professor recommended that this was a textbook unlike most other. Skeptically - and not without some grumbling about the cost of textbooks these days - I purchased it. I didn't open it all semester. Then a few weeks before the final, once I had exhausted my flashcards and lecture notes, I opened to the first chapter.
I was astounded. It's written in a beautiful, straightforward manner that sounds more like someone telling you how awesome and exciting immunology is, rather than droning on, intent to make you fall asleep. I ended up reading the entire book as my final exam prep, and I've never enjoyed studying for an exam as much as I had with this book.
