I taught an introductory class through 1st Chronicles, and now I'm currently teaching through 2nd Chronicles. Pratt's volume was my main source for background work on the subject matter. Although Pratt's commentary was technical, it wasn't overly technical. The layout of the volume is outstanding as well. I have commentaries where the layout is just awful and hard to follow along. I ordered Pratt's commentary when I found out Ligonier ministries recommends it. If you are a layperson in the church and want to learn more about Chronicles and the Southern tribe's list of kings, this book should bless your studies. Highly recommend.
