I was hoping this would be something I could use as a reference tool when it comes to understand the internet as a mother of young children. In all honestly it wasn't anything I didn't already know which was disappointing because I do not see myself as well versed in this world. Everything that is mention are things I do daily but in fact I already know what not to do when it comes to free WIFI and I felt the authors in many ways talk down to the average consumers.

While Conquer The Web gives readers stories that will help those with very little knowledge of the internet to fix their issues the average every day consumer who is being raised with this lifestyle will find it giving very little new information.

It might be a great introduction to preteen's who do not know anything else but a life of internet web use but for those who are in the here and now this is nothing more than a reminder of what you are already doing.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Legend Times Group for a copy of Nick Wilding, Time Mitchell, Maureen Kendal and Nick Ioannou's Conquer The Web.

**Warning: this text may contain spoilers** Far too implied and repetitive and merely scratched the surface on an otherwise very vast topic to learn about. A good book for someone who hasn't used any electronic device through his life or someone who is less knowledgeable in the field. But, in my opinion, this book did not tell me something which I didn't already know. Could have been a better guide and considering the people who wrote it are knowledgeable in their fields could have gave us a better technical advice rather than iterating the same few points on multiple occasions.
The book basical speaks on malware and it's kinds, the importance of antivirus, few basic precautions we can take as an individual.

The "Ultimate Cybersecurity Guide," you say?

I wouldn't bet on it.

Personally, I wouldn't consider this a cybersecurity guide; it's more like a basic primer, if that. I'm quite knowledgeable in the tech field, but most of the things in this book are the basic precautions that just about everyone, regardless of experience, already knows.

Overall, I'd only recommend this if you know next to nothing about the internet and want nothing more than a few of the basics. If you're interested in expanding your knowledge of cybersecurity, however, look elsewhere.
