Is a chance at her heart worth risking everything else?
***** Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They're the perfect bedside read, a 'quick blush' for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

“I’m getting a second chance, and I’m not letting you go this time. If that makes me crazy, so be it.”
Though June and Kase grew up together in the same small town, long standing issues between their families meant the two were always off limits to one another.
Common sense will tell you that if you put two attractive teenagers together, coupled with the forbidden romance thing, sparks are going to fly. And that's just what happens one starry night before Kase leaves for college. June thought their night of getting to know each other and making out meant Kase reciprocated her feelings, but four years with no contact has her realizing their time didn't mean as much to him.
Kase has always wanted June but knew their familial issues meant he needed to stay far away from her. When he finds out that June is still a virgin and, in her own way, has been saving herself for him, he sets about making sure he's the man to divest Ms. Jane of her pesky cherry.
“God help me, I want to hurt you in all the best ways.”
I enjoyed Misadventures of a Virgin but the story itself is nothing new. Think Romeo and Juliet with a whole lotta heat thrown in and you get the idea.
What Ms. Wild excels at is bringing the sexy. Let me tell you, the initial build up and subsequent naked times were hot. As. Shit.
If you're in the mood to see what happens when a sexy alpha with a dominant side gets together with a young woman ready to follow direction, this quick read may be just what you're looking for.
I feel like I say this after each of these books, but they just keep getting better and better! I absolutely loved this second chance romance.
Kase is shit hot and June is so fracking sweet! Together they are unbelievably hot and so much fun to read. The secrets, lies, and family drama that is uncovered doing the course of the novel adds a bit of an edge. The storyline is great. Although secrets, lies, and family drama threaten to keep our leads apart, but their love and affection for one another is unparalleled.
Meredith Wild has created another phenomenal read. I highly recommend this novella to romance readers who enjoy second chance romance, light BDSM, and a bit of family drama.
Yeah, okay, Bragging rights. After getting thoroughly enchanted by Kase McCasker and June Bell's story on Wattpad, along with half the rest of the world, I literally fist-pumped in joy when being honored with an advanced read on the rest of this gorgeous, passionate, and heart-twisting romance. The winner here, for me, is June herself. It'll come as no surprise that she's the book's namesake--but what I love--LOVE--about this heroine is that she may have been raised in the mountains, but she is nobody's shy, wilting little mountain rose. She meets Kase on HIS level of hard, relentless desire--and dear sweet lord, the results will have you reaching for a gallon of Arrowhead spring water on ICE to cool down. But that's only if you want to--and believe me, with a man like Kase around, who the hell wants to? He's bold, breathtaking, brawny, and bad-ass--but more than all that, he's desperately in love with his June, and not afraid to show it. Though the two have plenty of heart-wrenching emotion to go through for their happy ending, it is WELL worth waiting for, and sigh-worthy in all the most incredible ways. Seriously, the last 3 chapters are the best damn part of the book! And WHAT a book! A beautiful combination of sweet, sexy, and spicy--absolutely everything a fan of emotional romance could want!

This was an average read. Not quite what I was expecting (leans more erotica).
Story line had potential but fell flat.
I found the characters one demential, flow and pacing flatlined. The storyline sounded interesting and never read a book by this author before so I thought I would give it a try.
June and Kase were aware of each other in high school but never really connected till Kase's senior year. Their father's didn't like each other and had some history. But at a party Kase and June found themselves alone and ended up kissing. Next thing Kase was gone and June stayed behind in the small town she grew up in helping her father run their family hotel. She never forgot Kase or that kiss.
Kase is back in town years later. He's back at his family ranch that adjourns June's family hotel. Junes father want's Kase's family land to expand.
Kase and June reconnect and work out a deal that possibly would give June's father what he wants. The history between the fathers is revealed as June and Kase explore their attraction. We have some misunderstands that develop and then some truths come to light.
My issue with this is the two characters had no depth and seemed hard to differentiate from hero or heroine during some of their dialogue. To me the story was told in a monotone, IMHO.
I didn't realize that it leaned erotica, but I found myself skimming the sex scenes as they seemed more instructional and boring (sorry).
Meredith has done in yet again, but who would ever doubt. This is a fantastic book about 2 people caught up in their respective families ongoing feud. Her father wants his fathers land and they strike a deal to get it. Did they ever. Ansty, love, secrets, lies it's all in here. It steams right off the pages.
Kase was June Bells first and only love. When Kate left for college and took the long road home, June continued to work for her father at their upscale hotel nestled in a small town. June serves drinks. That's all we see her do. All her father wants is the farm property that Kase's father owns, the properties abut. Her father wants to expand. When Kases dad pays a visit, June hears that Kase is home. His father slips to her that she may want to come pay a visit that night. Kase didn't even remember her name when his father goes to get him and she's overhears the conversation. Kase stomps off and June isn't having any of that. She follows him and when she arrives at a pond wear case is now swimming and rinsing off his day, they exchange words. She's understandably angry. These two have a lot of unspoken emotion between them. The next day, Kase pays her father a visit, making him a deal he can't refuse. 2 weeks of June's company on his farm and he'll sign over the land to her father. Her father is beyond happy. Greedy bugger. Not a likable character. So June packs her suitcase and leaves the next day to start her life unknown; two weeks with Kase.
What a great story this is, there's so much steam and attraction. So many secrets and lies. So much hidden. I really felt for June, when you read this book... and you will, you'll see why. Kase was a likable guy although he made his share of mistakes, his love for her pretty much evened out the dumb things he did.
I am so loving this series and Meredith is just as always, incredible. I'd give this story more than 5 stars.
**arc from NetGalley and Waterhouse Press in exchange for a fair review**
I loved this book by Meredith Wild and the whole Misadventure series is great reading! I like this series as there are various authors that team together to write one of these books, as well as some authors writing one by themselves. In this new book June Bell is a young girl who lives with her father in an expensive and beautiful Grand Hotel which her father owns. June's mother died when she was younger so it's always been the two of them. June is a beautiful, vivacious young woman. She is also a virgin!
Kase McCasker is a young man who has just gotten home from college. Kase has decided he wants to take over the running of his father's farm and get it to be a successful venture once again. It has been in his family for generations. There was a time when they had a deal to sell their property to the Bell's, but after Kase was given some heartbreaking news, he went off to college for 4 years and the sale of the property did not go through.
Kase has always had a secret desire to be with June, but she was too young and she felt the same way. Their parents are enemies and June has no hope it will ever change but she has saved herself for Kase.
Now he is back and a plan is set into action for the sale of the property, with one stipulation! June is to spend two whole weeks with Kase on the farm so she gets an idea of what he will be giving up.
You have to read and see what happens between Kase and June, as well as her father and Kase's father. This book was so good I sat and read it in one evening. I loved all the angst, the tear filled moments as well as the happy ones, all of the characters having to make choices, and of course the love between two wonderful young people who have been victims of their parents' choices. Will they make the right decisions and will Kase and June have a happily ever after? Read on!
I gave this book 5*****Stars, and it was worth every minute I spent reading this book.
I initially started reading Misadventures of a Virgin on Wattpad. Like most, I have been anxiously awaiting the the rest of the story for some time. Needless to say when I was offered the chance to read this in iBooks there was NO hesitation. I devoured this book in just a few short hours. Absolutely LOVED it.
What begins as a plan to expand for Gerald Bell turns into so much more. He and the McCaskers have a past that no one seems to move on from. June and Kase are caught somewhere in the middle. Kase makes June an offer that she cannot seem to refuse.
This was such a beautiful story. June and Kase have a history together that has built up over time. These 2 have an AMAZING chemistry. They will keep you on your toes the entire time. June is definitely not shy and lets Kase know she is ready for him.. She has been ready for him for quite some time. She is a woman that knows what she wants. Where was a man like Kase when I was in my 20's?
This book has it all... Emotional moments, heartache, plenty of sexy scenes and such a great story.
Meredith Wild has done it again! This is a MUST READ!
I’m just not into that scene. Like, if a guy wants to tie me up, I figure he’s getting ready to hide a body.
My Review:
I continue to sally forth with my fixation with this super steamy and sweet romance series by Meredith Wild, although the books should come with a warning as they appear to be habit-forming and put me at risk for dehydration. This installment was a New Adult second chance at romance for a young couple whose neighboring families had been at odds while harboring resentful secrets and deceiving the young couple all their lives. The story was engaging and highly passionate as they established and their relationship and discovered and explored their sensual compatibility. You will most likely need fans on high and cool drinks at the ready regardless of the weather.
Misadventures of a Virgin is the first installment in a lengthy series of multi-author standalones titled: Misadventures. They can be read in any order as each is its own open and close story. This particular title is authored by Meredith Wild.
Misadventures of a Virgin wasn't a bad book by any means. It's strong in its storyline which I appreciated because some of the books in this series have tiny shreds of story that only seem to be there to justify the next sex scene. There's plenty of sex in this one too, but the storyline is the focal point. Unfortunately, the story and characters didn't quite keep me engaged or invested I'm sad to say. It kept me hanging on long enough to finish the book, so that should be noted. Based on my personal reading experience, it incorporated emotional situations that I just didn't feel. If it was a bit more palpable and had fuller characters, I think this would have been a better experience for me personally. However, it does include elements a lot of adult romance fans may enjoy: second chance romance, adult female virgin (which I'm sure you already figured out), and forbidden romance based on family drama.
Don't let my "it's OK" rating deter you from checking out this title or the series for that matter. Enjoy!
Note: I've seen this title shelved multiple times under BDSM. In my opinion, it is not. There is consensual rough sex (considering the female lead is new to sexual activity), but that is not the same thing as a BDSM relationship. However, the author knows her work best so if BDSM (or the lack of) is a dealbreaker for you, send out an "ask the author" inquiry first.
My favorite quote: "Mine," he whispers. "No." I suck in a sobering breath, but my head's still buzzing. I turn to meet his gaze. "It's mine. And I'll give it to whoever I want."
4++ stars. This was another really big hit for me, I had just finished reading book #5 Misadventures of the First Daughter prior to this one. They were both Meredith Wild releases and I am now officially a big fan of this author. This had it all for me from the story to the characters. I loved, loved, loved it. Sweet and tender story of forbidden love and second chances with just the right amount of spice and heat. Kase and June were simply perfect.
Kase and June....Where do I begin? This story was everything I ever wanted and so much more! It's definitely not Meredith's typical story! She took this somewhere else. I found myself smiling the entire time I was reading and I couldn't stop! It was a feel-good romance....and of course, it had the steam Meredith is known for!!! If I could give it more than 5 Stars I would!!! Definitely one of my faces by her!
Misadventures of a Virgin by Meredith Wild is the story of Kase McCasker and June Bell. Kase and June family didn't get along but they had one night at a party of getting to know the other better and having a shared kiss. But Kase went off to College and June stayed in the small town to help her father. Thinking that night was so special, June waited for Kase. But a few years later nothing has really happened with Kase. Kase thinking their parents would have issue has stayed away but now he is back to claim what June has saved for him. I really enjoyed their story!
- possessive aggressive H - Kase (22) - he’s been carrying a torch for the h but was trying to stay away - he’s been a manwhore while away
- sweet likable h - June (20) - she’s been crazy about Kase but didn’t think he was into her - she’s a virgin
- this book has loads of smexxy times with just a little kink - spanking, bdsm (very) lite, etc
- lite to medium angst
- there is a second relatively short separation, but the H is the one who ends that separation. He comes after the h. 💕
What I didn’t like:
- their intense feelings upon seeing each other after 4 years just doesn’t match up very well with the background we’re given. Their story was lacking. They just barely knew each other 4 years previously and made out one time. Yet they both act like their teenage love affair had been torn apart. I got over it tho. 😅
- I wasn’t excited that he’d tried out his bdsm lite moves on other girls - and the h gets to hear about it from at least one girl. 😒
- I nearly closed the book when the H said, “I want to dominate you” 👀😐 This is definitely a place where you should show not tell. 🤷🏼♀️🤡 I tend to roll my eyes and shut the book when I see this goofy line.
- the family drama was a little convoluted - why the fathers didn’t have anything to say about that H basically blackmailing the h was odd too.
BOTTOM LINE? I was pleasantly surprised. 🤷🏼♀️ Despite a few annoyances, I enjoyed this. I’m glad I stuck with it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
⚠️SAFETY SQUAD SPOILERS⚠️
- no cheating or sharing
- OW drama - the h has a confrontation with one of the H’s castoffs and gets to hear about that woman’s experience
- no OM drama
- no dubcon
- very lite BDSM elements- the H and the OW make a much bigger deal about his “kink” than actually pans out. He’s likes a little bit of restraint and spanking, and control. But nothing too crazy. There’s no Red Room of Pain, safewords, or weird toys/outfits. Mostly just slightly rough sex.
- h is a virgin
- h is a manwhore - not celibate during the 4 year separation
- both are celibate during the 2nd separation of 4 months.
Misadventures of a Virgin Misadventures #14 Meredith Wild 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another Misadventure short story that was really good. If you are looking for quick easy romances that get straight to the point then these books are perfect. This one was really entertaining with a little bit of drama but otherwise just a straight forward romance with a touch of erotica. Thanks NetGalley and Waterhouse Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
Another Misadventures story has blown me away! Kase and June's story is a second chance at something more, one of my favorite tropes.
Their chemistry burns like the brightest star, and Kase is definitely broody alpha but not over the top. Some stories write in unnecessarily dark back stories as justification for that type of demeanor, but Wild wove a story with just enough pain to make the story realistic while allowing readers (or at least me) to empathize.
And though still really young (but adults), our characters had heart and depth and maturity. When life takes you on a rollercoaster, you must endure the ride.
I also loved that it wasn't overly emotional but still pulled at your heartstrings and made you think.
Misadventures of a Virgin was another utterly fantastic, steamy, and all-consuming addition to the Misadventures Series. I cannot get enough of these books and what these different authors continue to give me in these stories. Each book in this series gives a quick, unique, and all-around enjoyable story that packs the best amount of everything into its pages. Misadventures of a Virgin was no different. The passion, the heat, the fire and the feels of this book had me feeling and experiencing it all with these characters. From start to finish this book kept me enveloped within its consuming story and I could not get enough.
Meredith Wild completely blew me away with what she created in this story with June and Kase. I loved how she perfectly blended a small town romance, with dominance and submission, with a little bit of kink, and some serious feels all thrown in. It was heated as all get out, the connection between these characters felt tangible and real through every page, and the way that the story unfolded felt right for everything that I was reading. Meredith Wild's phenomenal writing brought it all to life in a way that completely put me in every word of what I was reading, while investing me so much in these characters and what they shared together.
What I loved about Misadventures of a Virgin was that it gave me a story that kept me hooked all the way through, while also giving me these characters and everything they shared together. I loved Kase and June so much, and I loved getting to be there with them as they got that second chance at it all. Their chemistry was on fire through every word of this book, and every turn of that page brought those two closer together, closer to the edge, and closer to that point of no return in a way that I know I won't soon forget. Whether it was Kase's intensity, his strong heart and determination, or how he was a force to be reckoned with, or whether it was June's perfect mix of innocence and fire and strength, or whether it was the literal sparks that happened when those two were together...this book had it all. From the first page to until the very last this story and its characters owned me, and I can't say enough how much I loved it.
Misadventures of a Virgin was another phenomenal read by Meredith Wild, and it just might be my favorite Misadventure book so far. This read was quick, yet satisfying, and it found a way to check all the boxes that make a satisfying and enjoyable read, all while having that little special something to make it a read I won't soon forget. If you are looking for an exceptionally written book, with characters that will steal your heart from the start, then run yourself to this book this very second and just enjoy and love every second of it! Trust me when I say this book will give you it all, and you will love every fiery, heart melting, and blushworthy word of it!
Oh my! I devoured this story. Meredith has written such a fun and romantic journey. Kase and June had me from start to finish. The setting of this perfect little town, and families at wits end with each other. June is a little ambitious woman, and loves her family business. Kase is a sexy farm boy who has come home to save his farm. But, when business and pleasure mixes things can get a little complicated. This story had everything I needed in it. There’s passion, love, laughter, those awe moments, heartache, and troubled past that come to light. As always Meredith delivers us her saucy and steamy reads, and she never disappoints! I seriously think this should be made into a Hallmark or Lifetime movie. All of us will swoon over Kase, and I wish I could be June!
I love Meredith Wild's Hacker series, so I figured I would also love this book... yet I didn't.
This book is your typical post-YA novel. Teenagers who were once together find some feelings for each other years later... Typical trope! If you're looking for an exciting, over the top plot in regards to this typical trope, you won't find it here. It was very typical, but it was very sexy. Meredith Wild is great at writing sex scenes. She's especially good with writing a story for a dominant male and a submissive female.
The book is hot, so if you want some crazy, hot sexy time scenes then you've got it! Meredith Wild is over the top with her descriptions, and it makes so some really great scenes. She's got a five out of five that aspect of the book. Unfortunately, the typical plot and slow build left me feeling a little short. It just felt to typical for me, and I'm almost disappointed in myself for not enjoying it! I love Meredith's writing, but it just didn't sit well (for me, personally).
My favourite part of this whole novel was Meredith's choice in wording. The metaphors she uses to describe pain and desire are fantastic! She's definitely talented!
You'd enjoy this book if you enjoy erotica, second chance romances, a splash of BDSM or romance.
Overall, it was definitely a hot read! But personally, it fell flat and felt very average in the land of Meredith Wild romances. Although, I would be interested in reading the rest of the series if they come across my path.
4.5 Stars A sweet story about first love, second chances and a family secret that one particular father doesn't want to let go of. June Bell has been infatuated with Kase McCasker pretty much all her life, after a stolen kiss one night he disappears out of her life for 4 years. Now he’s back and he's ready to save his farm and stake his claim on June. The problem is, the huge family feud with their ‘fathers’. June has no idea why they hate each other, but when her father makes a deal to buy the McCasker farm, June has no choice but to be a pawn in their game. Wonderful writing and characters, with an addictively sweet storyline that had me hooked. Don't let the fact that I called this a sweet story fool you, yes it is sweet, very much so, but in the mix there is a whole lot of dirty, the chemistry between June and Kase is off the charts hot, what an explosive couple they are, and not always in the bedroom. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Misadventures of a Virgin by Meredith Wild was the first book in the Misadventures series by a mixture of popular best selling spicy romantic authors.
June Bell was the heir to the grand Falls Edge Hotel. It was bustling and employed over half the small town. Kase McCasker was the heir to the land next to the hotel that was keeping the Bell’s from expanding. It was in his family for five generations and although the farm was fledgling, it was hard to let go.
June and Kase had history. They shared a kiss then he went off to college without ever looking back. He’s back in Falls Edge and they explosively reunite for the first time in four years. It was a second chance romance and one that Kace was determined to make right. Simultaneously Wild slowly revealed another plot / mystery that was intertwined with the two families.
It was written with a single POV, June’s, until the epilogue, where we finally heard from Kase. It was a quick, fast paced, sweet; albeit steamy, and light hearted read. The “Misadventure” books can all be read as stand-alones in any order; however, Misadventures of a City Girl is up next.
I first started reading Misadventures of a Virgin on Wattpad. The first few chapters were generously offered by Meredith Wild. I was anxiously awaiting for the rest of the book. Fortunately, it was offered on Netgalley.
The story starts 4 years earlier with June Bell and Kase McCasker both young and in love. But Kase ups and leaves Falls Edge for college to find escape from his pain that has unexpectedly been dumped on him. Kase's father has been struggling with the family farm property, but has remained firm in not selling up to anyone, especially not to June's father who owns a hotel nearby and wants to expand. June has remained in Falls Edge helping her father out with the hotel.
Now 4 years later Kase has returned and has a chat with June's father with an offer that involves June. Kase wants her to come to the farm and stay with him for 2 weeks. It's a huge risk for Kase and the farm property, but he is willing to take it if he can have June's undivided attention.. There is a lot on the line with this reunion. When Kase and June meet for the first time , the attraction and hot desire is still there for both of them.
This is about their journey together and if they still have the connection between them from years ago. Soul searching, romance and sultry best describe this book and all make for an amazing read. Meredith again does not disappoint.
Misadventures of a Virgin made me a bit hesitant to dive into it. Virgin books are kind of a hit or miss with me. Yeah, people are virgins out in the world.. but they way they are written about it books can sometimes rub me the wrong way.
This also kind of gave me Romeo and Juliet vibes - so I was down for the ride. In it, you will meet Kase and June. They were kind of cute but they also annoyed me. Or maybe it was just their family? Well these two had a "forbidden" romance which of course means.. they are going to do exactly the opposite of what they were told.
Sparks definitely flew between these two. It was also kind of cute that years later they still had their eyes set on one another. So, it was pretty easy to root for these two. Kase and June were made for each other (if you want to go down the route). One didn't really power over the other - they both had their opinions and one hell of a backbone. They were definitely equal in this relationship which is probably why I loved them and it so much.
Overall, the ending was cute and made me happy. I can't wait for the rest of the series to be available!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MISADVENTURES OF A VIRGIN. Meredith Wild hit it out of the park with this one. Kase and June's love is scorching hot with that just hint of sweet that totally makes it so much more. That touch of forbidden romance makes it so much hotter. Kase and June are amazing. I love how much June changes and grows into her own. This is my new favorite of all the Misadventure series so far. This series is amazing and I haven't been disappointed yet. I have a feeling that this series is just going to get hotter and hotter. A must read.
