Aaron Samuels has a secret. He’s in love with his boss, Logan Remora. Logan is everything Aarons ever wanted in a man, except he’s straight…and married.

College student, Aaron Samuels is in love with his boss, Logan Remora. After four long years of working under his boss in every conceivable position except the one he wants, bent over the desk with his pants around his ankles, Aaron is ready to give up and move on to greener pastures.

A promising job offer right after graduation seems like fate’s way of kicking Aaron in the ass. He turns in his notice at work with a heavy heart, though Aaron knows he has made the right decision. After all, he couldn’t spend the rest of his life mooning over Logan.

A torrid, late night tryst with a man Aaron believes to be Logan’s twin propels him into an emotional tailspin of guilt and confusion. Tough choices loom on the horizon, but Aaron may find that things aren’t always as they seem.

A bestselling author of erotic romance, Amanda Young penned her first romance at eighteen. That novel was promptly deleted before it could traumatize innocent readers. After several years of honing her craft, Amanda went on to receive her first publishing contract in 2006.

A vivid imagination and a passion for all the things that go bump in the night has led Amanda to create provocative stories that push boundaries and dare readers to expand their comfort zones. Since she tends to write whatever strikes her fancy, her novels fall into many different subgenres. Among her available titles you’ll find contemporary and paranormal settings, gay and straight themes alike.

Amanda Young lives in Virginia with her husband, daughter, and two pampered pooches. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found chasing after a mischievous toddler or daydreaming about the characters in her next book. She loves to hear from her readers, and can be found on Facebook and Twitter. Most things are working out for Aaron Samuels. He just graduated with a degree and horticulture and has landed a management job at a local home improvement center. Although he is glad his menu will no longer be pop-tarts and Ramen noodles, he is sad to leave his assistant job for the last few years...okay maybe not the job itself, but his very sexy boss Logan Ramora.
Aaron has been attracted and has unrequited feelings for Logan since they first met. Logan has always been unabtainable and to Aaron's knowledge straight and marrried, so Aaron knows there is no future for them or his desire to be with him.
When Logan finds out that Aaron will not be his personal assistant any longer he seems to be disappointed, but takes it in stride. This bothers Aaron somewhat, but Aaron is ready to start a new life...and try to forget the way he feels about Logan the man of his dreams.
Logan Ramora has been living a lie. For years he has been firmly in the closet. Not willing to live that way any longer he has been separated from his wife and now divorced for over a year. He has been very attached to Aaron, but thinks he never has had the opportunity to let his feelings show. Now that Aaron is leaving, he must speak out or lose the love of his life.
I really enjoyed this book! Aaron definately deserves to get his man and to find happiness in the end. This was a very fast paced read, and I loved every minute of it!

Note: There is a very short story set after this book called by Amanda Young where we are able to get a glimpse of Logan and Aaron in their new life together...and if you are like me...I love to read about the characters after the story ends. I am always wondering how things turn out, and with Candy Man I got to!

Cute story but very short. We got a cute twink in love with sexy boss so you know they are gonna be hooking up when the twink makes a mistake and bossman has to fix it.

A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review:

Rating: 3 stars out of 5

This was a nice story. Aaron has essentially been torturing himself being close to Aaron every day while dreaming about him and feeling depressed about his situation. He takes the opportunity to use his new college degree and to get a new job and hopefully move on with his life. He continues to laugh off Logan’s twin brother, Jake’s, flirting and Logan’s reaction to it.

This story was told from Aaron’s point of view and it was easy to feel his heartbreak and hurt from Logan’s actions. Unfortunately I couldn’t help but think that if Logan was more open and truthful about his personal life they both could have started out much better. I am definitely interested to see what happens with Jake, in the next story.

The cover art by Amanda Young is a nice romance cover and caught my eye.

So, reading the title, I was especting a novel about beautiful men with gourgeous bodies... And instead you have an ultraromantic story that happen to be M/M.

Aaron is a shy man, short, skinny and a little geeky. He works to pay is education and now he has graduated and has a new job and has to say to his previous boss that he will go with the end of the week. No problem that that he is deeply in love with his boss. And he has never in four years admit his feeling to him. Cause Logan, his boss, is a straight married man.

Aaron has choosen the wrong brother, cause instead Jack, the Logan's identical twin, is gay and lately he has also made some move on Aaron. So when Jack suddently kiss him and Aaron give him an entusiastic blow job, everything seem all right, but a little particular: is not Jack who receives a blowjob, is Logan, is straight married boss... isn't he? Married? Straight?

This is a short story with some point I like very much in my stories: the geek who falls in love with the handsome man, the old fashined cliche of the boss with the personal assistant... in short I like it, but... I would like to read more about Logan: how a straight man arrives to share an hot sex session with a gay man? what happen next? and Jack?

This one is just sooo cute. I know it's more on the Aaron's point of view rather than Logan, and I would love to know what Logan is thinking all this time about Aaron. Especially since he is supposed to be straight and married. If he is in the closet, I would love to know more about that background. But anyway, I really love Aaron and his thoughts and well, they are some funny moments that make me giggling. The ending is cute too. So I pretty much enjoy it :)

Loved this story! We've all been Aaron, skinny and wallflowerish and hugely crushin' on our boss (or some other person we always see). This was the first Amanda Young story and the first m/m romance I had ever read. I only wish my copy hadn't been lost... Very well-written, good quality story.

Alright, so I have mixed feelings about this one...

But, the one thing I'm sure of is... Holy Hotness Batman! That table scene... good gracious. I blushed.

BLUSHED

I was also a little uncomfortable at times with the writing. Things like this were the cause:

"He added a bit of pressure, squeezing the delicate orbs lightly."

Orbs? Nope... just nope.

"What else could he do when he was half a heartbeat away from expiring of want?"

Some of the narrative felt forced and just awkward.

The story line outside of the sex kind of felt drab, like it would in an actual porno, but there was one so there's that. They did a lot of things in public that I narrowed my eyes at, because people, but still, it wasn't enough to make me hang it up.

Aaron loves his job but he wants to put his horticulture major to use and needs more money to pay off his study loans. And there is the thing of his crush on his boss.
This is a well-written sweet short story. Fast paced in a pleasant and engaging writing style. The story is told from Aaron’s point of view. I found him a truly likeable and realistic character who I could easily relate to. Logan is harder to read. Normally I don’t like a single point of view that much as it is harder to get a grip on the other MC. In this story, however, I didn’t mind at all as it suited the story. There are some surprising twists I didn’t see coming.
If you look for a fun and easy read this is just the story for you.

The plot focuses on Aaron and Logan, and the feelings that Aaron has had for Logan for four years. This was a short and very sweet romance, which I found to be totally enjoyable and funny sometimes, especially since Aaron is a little fire cracker when he's angry, which I loved. The author did a great job at conveying the emotions of the main characters. It was noticeably well written with no editing issues which is pretty extraordinary compared to some of the other books I've read from different authors. I loved the ending and left with a smile on my face. Lovely story. :)

Now we are talking. A gorgeous furry construction worker, tool belt included, and a cute fiery red head. The visuals you get in your head while reading this are seriously hot. Especially at the art exhibit. Aaron and Logan are a great couple. All the bumps, twists, and stumbles made for a great read. You're left with just one question. What about poor Jake? A always, Amanda Young has delivered a fun, sweet, and sexy read.

Fast-paced, sexy but sweet M/M romance that has just the right amount of steam, just the right amount of angst and quite simply...who doesn't enjoy two steamy men realising their secret feelings are reciprocated. This is another great tale by Amanda Young....my only complaint is that our time with Aaron and Logan is swift and over before we know it! A good quickie romance.

I received an ARC from the author.

Oh! Why can't guys talk to each other! They get themselves into so many crazy situations instead of just opening up and having a discussion.

Of course if they did, we wouldn't have fun stories like this one to read. We wouldn't see how they back themselves into compromising situations and then have to recover. We wouldn't have wonderful 'make-up' scenes that make us smile and shake our heads in wonder.

This is a fun read that I'm sure you'll enjoy!

It was a pretty decent short story. I did find it hard to imagine that Aaron could confuse Logan for his twin, especially as someone who knew Logan so well and had such feelings for him. The ending with the jobs was a bit crazy, too, as it seemed out of character for Logan. But in the end, it all worked out. I enjoyed it enough to read the next ones in the series, but I probably won't ever re-read them.

Aaron is secretly in love with his straight married boss--and in agony from it so badly he is taking another job. After an amazing sexual encounter with said boss' twin just before his last day of work, Aaron has a rude awakening. It wasn't the twin. This is a really good book. You can really feel Aaron's feelings through the entire story.

MM. A quick, hot read. Aaron has been crushing on Logan, his straight, married boss for years. He only hopes he can make it through his last week without making a fool of himself. If only he liked Logan's twin brother Jake. Aaron is adorable. Explicit. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Cute

A cute quick, quirky store. Aaron graduated with his bachelor's degree and is searching for a job where he can shine. He is eager to leave because his crush on his boss is becoming overwhelming. Can he get away before his boss figures it out

Not as it seems

If you don't like m/m stories then I suggest you skip this book. Ever fell in love with someone who you believe is off limits? Then an incident happens between you and learn that what you thought may not be true.

You just never know where you'll find love

Pleasantly surprised. A good story with plausible characters. I love it when dreams come true. I don't do spoilers so this is all you'll get from me. But if you want to read a surprise twist with a happy ending, be sure you get this one.
