Public Investing for a Better World presents a contemporary introduction to public policy, covering all the major theories, approaches, and substantive policy areas. Grounded in the tradition of theoretically driven, evidence-based analysis, this text offers the tools that students need to discuss, debate, and chart future directions for government.
Great perspectives on the objectives of public policy as investments into all facets of society. Case studies are mostly from an American context and have used policies with long phases of evaluation and monitoring. Would've appreciated if more details were included on the context of policy development and how the policies were framed and "sold" to decision makers rather than a focus on the scoping, implementation and evaluation phases in this book.
