The New York Times bestselling Disney Never Girls series continues with a new adventure, in which the Never Girls embark on a quest to find Tinker Bell!
When Tinker Bell sets out on a trip beyond Never Land and disappears, it's up to the Never Girls--Kate, Mia, Lainey, and Gabby--to find their missing fairy friend. But Tink's mission has taken her farther from Pixie Hollow than any fairy has gone before. In the third book in the new early chapter book series, Finding Tinker Bell, the Never Girls' quest takes them to the Lost Coast, a mysterious beach that is strangely familiar. Can the Never Girls, Silvermist, Fawn, Rosetta, and Iridessa escape the Lost Coast and find their friend? This book is perfect for children ages 6 to 9 who love adventure, fantasy--and fairies!
Kate craves adventure and excitement. Mia loves dresses, roses, and anything beautiful. Lainey dreams of talking to animals. Gabby believes in fairies more than anyone.
Together, they are the Never Girls--four real girls in a fairy's world!
That scene in Labyrinth where Jennifer Connelly ends up in the junkyard and she loses track of what she is doing and why as the old lady pushes more and more of her sentimental possessions into her arms.... That's basically the entirety of this book. And it's pretty awesome. The previous Nevergirls series was already composed of great adventure novels for girls but this Finding Tinkerbell series takes it to another level. A little bit weirder, a little bit darker and a little bit more complex. Each book is very episodic in nature and focuses on one small portion of a larger adventure. It allows for the simplicity and focus of a fast paced children's novel while allowing room for a surprising amount of depth and exploration. Who would of thought one if the best adventure series on the market right now would be a liscensed Disney book series about fairies?
Syd, age 6.5: I loved this story! It was SO good. I liked ALL of it! I liked that it was so emotional, and I didn’t like when they had to say goodbye to their stuffies. It was exciting when they lost the fairy dust. It also taught a good life lesson, to believe in yourself.
