Longer than it needed to be and a bit repetitive at times also the resolution on Amy and Mark’s relationship was a little rushed considering he spent most of the book telling her that a relationship could never be possible. Gray is still one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
I love and hate brother's best friend books. It's hard to explain why I love them but I hate them because it frustrates me to no end that the heroine's brother thinks he has a right to say who she can and cannot date/fall in love with. This book was no different. I'll admit I didn't read the first book so I didn't really know Luke. But I knew how he expected Mark to feel like Amy was his sister when they didn't share any blood bond what so ever. Yeah, it happens but you could clearly tell at the beginning that they wanted to kiss and that was ruined the moment Luke came into the room and said something. Fast forward 10 years of missed opportunities and true love finally coming together. I do believe that things happen for a reason when they are supposed to. With that all said, I really did enjoy this book. I loved how Amy was finally able to come out of her shell and finely be able to express herself sexually. I hated how Mark felt he had to hide his true self from his best friend and the woman he so clearly loved. I hated how he felt that they couldn't be together because of his quirks and the thought that he would lose the only real "family" he had. I hated how Amy had to agree to a Master/slave relationship in order to have what she really wanted with Mark. But I LOVE how she stood her ground and didn't sign the paperwork. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that kind of lifestyle/relationship. But if it's not what you want don't sign it away just to get a glimpse of what he truly want. I also have to say I loved how Jane but Luke in his place! And Amy's parents?? That last part at the dining room table? Had me laughing! I think this book could have been a little shorter but at the same time I'm glad it wasn't because every part of it brought out a better understanding of the love that Mark and Amy had for each other and for the people around them. I'm truly glad I took a chance on this book and now I'm looking forward to reading Chloe's book!
A highly readable story that is hard to put down. I love a character driven story, and this one is full of vibrant and deeply faceted people. I loved the way this story moved between the secrets that people keep and the ones they share but still have to hide. The build up for the romance part of this book is steady and hot. As Amy explores her BDSM curiosity, and Mark shows his true colors, you can see the struggle going on and the heat is steadily building up on the sly. As a matter of fact, this book is deeply sensual and the relationship unfolds naturally, secretly, but intensely and graphically detailed. It is so hot, but still readable because the base story is fully incorporated, and the characters have a life outside of their personal relationship. I learned so many things while reading this, I would never admit to my curiosity, but this book answered some questions that I didn't even know I wanted to know, it was that good. I was wrapped up in this story, fully invested in the relationships and how the conflict would be resolved. Ramona Gray writes some deeply detailed and intricate scenes that will make you forget that it's not really real. If you like books that are explicit in the intimate details yet still tell in depth personal stories, then you should definitely read this book!
I absolutely love this series!! I fell in love with Amy in Undeniably his and couldn't wait to read her story and I read it one setting!! It was amazing!! Amy is such a sweetheart and feels ashamed because she likes things different in the bedroom after loser boyfriend makes her feel like a freak she decides to take a chance and ends up speeding the weekend with the man who she has loved since she was a teenager, only to end up heartbroken!! Mark has loved Amy forever and after spending the weekend with her at his club he can't get of enough but doesn't want to lose her brother 's friendship. So he breaks her heart until He finds her back at his club and his jealously doesn't allow him to let Amy go!! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Amy and Mark, it was extremely hot!! This is definitely a must read!!! Can't get enough can't wait for Chloe 's story!!
I was looking forward to this second book in the series, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. Part of the charm of the first book was doses of sweetness amid the difficulties that Jane and Luke faced, along with a few misadventures between them. I missed that in this book. While it handled the BDSM element better than others I've read, it seemed mostly about the sex and not about the two characters growing and accepting one another through adversity. The one thing keeping them apart was understandable, but then they kept breaking their own promises to stay away or keep their agreement. And Amy lost the fun spirit she had in the first book. She seemed like a different character. I did enjoy the dichotomy of Mark. And I intend to read the next one.
I absolutely loved this book and was eagerly awaiting its release. It did not disappoint. The dynamics between Amy and Mark were undeniably sexy. The tension literally leapt off the page. I did also enjoy that we got to see Jane and Luke again. Being in the same world made me feel like my beloved characters are still living and loving.
I received advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. I loved this book sexy and not over the type bdsm where it's scary. Amy has been in love with mark all her only problem Mark is Amy brother best friend. The only problem for with the book was it seemed that was leading Amy on some. I understand why in he did it, but was still kind of annoying.
3.5 stars WOW what a completely 180 from the first book! lmao
was fun to see what went on with amy and mark after reading bits and pieces in jane and luke’s book. and the best friends brother trope? always going to go down well with me.
luke was being a bit of a dick but i’m glad he sorted himself out by the end lol
I truly liked this book, it had love, hot sex, banter and all the things people look forward to in a book. Mark is Luke’s best friend, Amy is Luke’s Younger Sister. Mark and Amy are rocking beds behind Luke’s back. Such a great read of sister and best friend love.
