"Chad Johnson is fearless because he sincerely sees humanity as family. This is a real and honest look at a normal guy who's learned to hear God's voice through trial and error. Chad has thrown fear and insecurity aside, allowing Jesus to use him in radical new ways. After reading One Thousand Risks... will you?"
Brian "Head" Welch, Co-founder / Korn & New York Times best-selling author.

"Even for the more skeptical (and let's face it, cynical) among us, it's impossible not to feel inspired around Chad Johnson. He's as real and relatable as they come, which makes his persistent joy and insistence on the gospel all the more powerful in real life terms."
Ryan J. Downey, Longtime Journalist / Billboard, MTV, The Hollywood Reporter & Artist Manager / Demon Hunter

"We might not believe all the same things but Chad's got quite an energy about him, I think our ancestors came off the same spaceship."
Aaron Weiss, mewithoutYou

"Chad Johnson took the simple but radical step of opening his life up completely to Jesus. In One Thousand Risks, Chad shows you how you can do the same. You won't regret it."
Ray Ortlund, Lead Pastor / Immanuel Nashville Church

"It lights this little flame in me, which I think is probably Chad's deal. He goes somewhere and starts a fire in that place, and shows people that more is possible."
Josh Garrels, Recording Artist, Musical Engineer & Label Owner

"Chad takes it to another level. He invests in people as a mentor, a guide, and a spiritual leader, even becoming vulnerable to the point where it could threaten his own personal success."
Matt Carter, Co-Founder / badchristian.com, Guitarist / Emery

"The wild tales that Chad shares in One Thousand Risks point to the reality of Jesus performing a work in our day that is truly astounding."

Knowing Chad, I respect and love this all the more because it is not just a cool or lofty ideal, but something he and many others that the Lord, through Chad, have helped spur on to live. I am grateful for this book, for the work of the Lord in Chad’s life, and pray that I not hesitate to risk myself for the sake of Christ. Good stuff!

One of those rare finds, I feel like I now know the author and am inspired by his risk-taking love for Jesus. I wish the book was 10x longer.

This is not a 21st century American read. It’s more like Brother Yun in THE HEAVENLY MAN. It mirrors the book of Acts, where miracles feel more common than drinking your morning cup of Starbucks. I don’t know this author or his ministry group(s) but what I can say is that I’ve been changed by reading this book. I’m a fearful person from many things in my life that have made me feel afraid. But I also love Jesus with all my heart. Chad has inspired me to let go of that part—the one that calls fear my friend. Instead I just want to trust the Holy Spirit more—knowing He’s got my back (no pun intended—well kind of—after you read about all the healings of people’s backs). Read this if you need a reminder that God is still moving here and now—and even in your own life. :)

A book from an ableist, homophobic, Christian telling YOU how to accept and give more love in your life. The biggest lesson- go around and pray for people (even when they don't actually want you to) for conditions they were born with and walk away feeling superior.
