Shay Roberts, a USA Today bestselling fantasy author, has a reputation for writing page-turning novels with captivating characters.

Shay began writing as a child, scribbling stories on the walls of the family home. In ink. As you can imagine, they were poorly received. But when the young author moved to pencil and paper, a career was born.

The medieval world is a frequent setting for the writer’s works. Passionate about Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), Shay founded the Academy of Arms, a nonprofit medieval martial arts school in Los Angeles. As an instructor, the author developed expertise in various dueling weapons, including the longsword and pollaxe, and later discovered these skills are counterproductive in office situations.

Shay is also an instrument-rated pilot with a diverse educational background, including an MA in Screenwriting, a BS in Biology, and a BA in English. This is another way of saying Shay never wanted to leave college and join the “real world.”

When not slaving over a new novel, the author plays open-world RPGs and explores the latest tech gadgets. Shay enjoys a healthy lifestyle that includes cooking, working out, fermenting vegetables, and brewing kombucha. The writer’s cherry-ginger kombucha has been particularly well-received.

The author finds Pomskies and Russian Blues to be the most adorable of all creatures and will duel anyone who says otherwise. As an animal lover, there is always a place in Shay’s books for another furry friend.

Currently, the author spends much of the year in Portugal, embracing the culture and learning the language. É muito difícil! With its rich history, picturesque landscapes, and friendly people, Portugal is the perfect place for writing spellbinding novels. Be advised, if you ever want to visit this lovely country, you are required to love futebol and swear allegiance to Ronaldo.

I don't want this to be the last of Ash's story! I loved this book, just as much as the others!
A lot of action, seen from 3 different viewpoints, so the reader doesn't miss a thing. Three great main characters, an exciting and thrilling adventure and some magic and time travelling.
So, now an adventure for Emma, Tyler, Ash and their loved ones?
Or maybe a totally new main character who has some great adventures in the Heartblaze world?
I received a copy and chose to review it.

Ash, Stefan and Tyler face dangers aplenty in their attempt to return to present day Corby. This book, like all of Shay Roberts books, keep you guessing but it does tie up some of the loose ends from earlier books. It was nice to see Ash reunited with her lost dogs. There is so much in this book mystery, adventure, battles, time travel and love, something for everyone.

UNFORGETTABLY TREASURE INSIDE!
A-WOOOW-MAZING!!! There is no if’s, or buts about it! Im a very picky reader. It is not common that I find a book of this very high quality. It’s Exceptional in so many ways ranging from the multi faceted vivid story, character depiction and the very important IT factor.
I am over joyed since they are not so common.
This brilliant Author has a stellar attention to everything from T-rex sized things all the way down to the small but SO important details, and his way to narrate and convey the story blazes straight into the core of the reader.
Finding not just one but a whole series, where every book has such a skillfully told, riveting story, Thats far above and beyond highly unique. Note that this is the Third book in the series. I have read each one of them and Greatly enjoyed them. Loving the fact that you can read them as standalones, but it gives an additional dimension and added story if you read them all.
It took me quite some thinking in regards to the guidelines, what you like, what you don’t like etc.. but i there was not a single thing that one could dislike, it has everything, and the It factor to captivate even the most seasoned reader.

I'm a big fan of Shay Roberts and his Heartblaze series. I particularly like Ash’s Saga. The fantasy world created by Roberts is richly detailed and, at times, darkly discomforting. AND it was funny, in an understated, sarcastic way. For example, when facing a portal to Hell, Ash makes this observation:

There's nothing to indicate this is a magic portal to hell. I guess I was expecting something flashier, like red lights and a floating Satan head.

Some of the images from Hell are truly horrific. Ash thinks:

If this world was built from my imagination, I've really outdone myself.

Still later, after getting complicated directions to conquer the villain, Tyler thinks:

I'm gonna need you to write all that down.

Imagery and descriptions are frequently visceral, like this one:

The pain is unbelievable, like someone picking the meat from my bones using rusty tweezers. I want to scream, but I can't afford to waste the energy.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

I am a huge fan of Mr. Roberts Heartblaze series. Now having said that don't ask me to pick my favourite book, that would be like asking me to pick my favourite song impossible to do. Each and every title is a true gem in my eyes.

Werewolf Undying is another jewel in the Heartblaze crown. I loved this story as much as all the previous Heartblaze stories Shay has written. Again he has written another story I could not put down until I had reached the end. This is the third story in Ash's Saga and they just keep getting better. Shay has brought back Ash, Stephan, Tyler, Grima, the Svartr warriors, the evil elves included mechanical beasts, a broken timeline and the gates of hell to complicate Ash, Stephan and Tyler's story. Can they escape hell, fix the broken timeline and return Corby to it's present day? You'll have read the story to find out - a little spoiler here I have to say yay to Shay for letting Ash find her lost dogs.

I for one reader hopes that the author continues creating stories around the lives of those in the Heartblaze series.

I absolutely loved this conclusion to Ash's saga! The story picks up with Ash, Stefan, and Tyler after defeating Grima. It finds Ash and her friends (time) jumping out of the proverbial frying pan and into the proverbial fire. The world they step into is not the one they expect. There is more danger, more drama, and more mystery, along with old and new villains and allies. Shay has such an incredible imagination, and an obvious love for his characters. He puts his heroes and heroines into the most impossible situations, and you know it will get awful before it gets better. Murphy's law applies, and if it can get worse, it does. This book ties all the existing ends together and ends on a very satisfactory note as the tale comes full circle. I have loved all the Heartblaze novels, but I hope Shay has at least one more novel or story in his pen, because I really think Tyler has more to tell.

What a mind-bending adventure and a very satisfying ending to a tense set of time jumps that go awry! This series has oodles of action and tons of suspense, probably at its peak in this installment as Ash and her Stefan risk their lives again and again, this time with time travelling dragon shifter Tyler, going up against evil elves, Svartr warriors, and mechanical beasts and villains. And a mystery that had been plaguing me since the first book in the series was solved (no spoiler, but it makes the ending So Much Better)!

The constant switch of point of view between three characters got a tad confusing, but it helped the story maintain its fast pace as the three split up, faced another seemingly impossible obstacle, and reunited for the next hurdle.

This third instalment in the Ash saga was full of twists and turns as Ash, Stefan and Tyler tried to restore the timeline to what it should've been. It got a little confusing what was happening at times, especially if I needed to put the book down and come back to it (hence the 4*), but once I got back on track it was an excellent read. I'd like to know what happens to the characters next, especially Tyler - metaphysical rehab sounds like hard work! Recommended reading for any Heartblaze fans.
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

Wonderful!!! As expected of Shay Roberts another stellar story that I absolutely could not put down! This is the third book in the series of Ash and it just keeps getting better! To date, I have read everything from Shay Roberts and I really enjoy his style of story telling. He gets all the details right and his story world is so intricate and developed and his characters so complex and compelling that you can't help but get involved in their story. This one was no exception! With a timeline gone astray, can our heroes (and heroine) save things? Read this story and find out! I highly recommend this story and all of Shay Roberts books to any fantasy fan!

I have read all of the Heartblaze series and highly recommend them. Emma, Stefan, and Tyler are on an amazing journey to reclaim the future of Earth. They risk their lives to save the world.

It is a great reading experience with lots of action and some romance too. I do recommend reading the books in order as it makes it much easier to understand all the events but some might be able to jump in to the journey.

I like that you get multiple points of view and really feel close to the characters. The author really takes time to develop the characters and the relationships. They are always surprises to keep it interesting.

Absolutely wonderful! As with the other books in this series, I was captivated from the first page and couldn't put it down until I was finished. Ash, Stefan and Tyler wake to find themselves in a horrifyingly wrong, distorted timeline, where all they have ever known does not exist. They must fight their way through powerful enemies, including almost invulnerable Svartr, clockwork creatures and dark elves. Both aided and hunted by old gods and new, getting back alive is as unlikely as being able to fix the timeline and save the world they love. I highly recommend this book.

Werewolf Undying, is as excellent a book as any others that Shay Roberts has written. If asked before I had read any of Shay's books if I like that style of writing, I would have declined an affirmative answer. It took about 3 chapters for me to start rethinking that opinion, and by the end of her very 1st book (for me) I am a very big fan. There's just something about the way she writes, you just cannot put the book down. You live the lives and understand each of the characters better than with other styles. I am a bigger fan with every single book I read.

This third book in Ash's story ties up a lot of loose ends in an intricate, time and world jumping adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Tyler, Ash and Stefan feature prominently but Grima, Sindri, Skadi, Seeker and others make an appearance.
Shay Roberts stories are always well written with carefully worked out plot lines and compelling characters and this one is another great example of the fantasy writer's art.

Shaky Roberts delivers again

Following the exploits of Stefan, Tyler and Ash in to a timeline catastrophe the lovely Grima surfaces yet again. Still as ruthless and with the aid of a Dark Elf called Sindri, death is not far away. Tyler being able to time jump does come in useful. Fantastic tale of dragons, werewolves, dark elves and evil. Shay Roberts knows what he is doing.

Loved it! Best of the series!! So much action. Every time I turned the page, something else was happening. Could not put down my ARC copy. Shay made me feel like I was there with Ash, Stefan and Tyler, going through all their trials and adventures with them. I'm so glad Ash got her dogs back, and found love 😀

Wow, I had a real hard time putting this book down. Ash, Stefan, and Tyler's adventure to defeat Grima and Sindri. Can they change the timeline and save everyone. So much action from start to finish. I don't want to say much and ruin your reading, but this last book in Ash's Saga is everything you would want to read. I received a arc copy for my honest review.

To be honest, I really am worried about Ash's dogs. Seriously they add to the suspense T_T Now, it's quite fast paced but it's still great it's like answering multiple mysteries/questions at once. A lot oy my questions from my last post were answered (lol won't tell what questions, don't want to be a spoiler). All in all I still enjoy this series!

Imagine the modern US as a wilderness with dark elves. Something has happened to the timeline! Emma, Stefan and Tyler have a plan to fix this, but the plan is full of danger and even if they succeed, there is no guarantee that things will be exactly as they were before. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to future adventures in this series.
