I was a bit of a wild child. I had a past. I had gotten into trouble. All that was behind me, though. And for the first time in my life, trouble had found me. When the other private investigators wouldn’t help me, I found the huge, hulking Tig willing to lend his expertise. What I didn’t expect was the growing attraction between us or the crazy series of events that would put our budding relationship to the test.

And… we have a winnerrr!!!

Well, actually, I have a winner,
coz this book and especially this heroine is not for everyone.

If you prefer sweet shy virginal heroines (and it’s nothing wrong with that! The tastes are different!), please don’t waste your time to read my review and the book.

I fffloved this woman! Fangirl alarm!
"Well, I am, what's the word they use? 'Progressive', I guess, because I don't buy into that asinine, antiquated virgin/whore mindset that society likes to shove down our throats. Everyone likes sex. And so long as you do it safely, no one should be ashamed of some absurd 'number' that supposedly makes you either a prude or slut. I've slept with who I have slept with, and I see no reason to try to hide that..."

YES!!! Thanks God there are still authors who don’t stick to “standard” romance trope!
And respect to Jessica Gadziala for detailed and HONEST trigger warning!
http://www.jessicagadziala.com/triggers.html

I didn’t have any triggers in this book. I had no problem and only little judgment with hero’s past. Yes, he was a drug dealer for a short time, but he needed to feed his small sister. And I had ZERO judgment when he killed all the bastards who raped and murdered his sister.
Yep, my black soul, stone heart and vengeful b*tch nature wanted their blood!

I agree 100% with the heroine on this topic:
"There was murder, and there was justice. They weren't one in the same. Exceptions had to be made."

There were some violence scenes in the book, but since I suspected the mystery of suspense, I could stomach them.
Don’t saying anything *zip my mouth*

Back to my favourite girl. Ah, did I already say that I f*cking loved her?
"They also taught me that no man was worth falling apart over. It was advice I took to heart.
No man would break me.
At least, no man would ever know he broke me.
Stiff fucking upper lip.
That was pretty much my motto for heartbreak."

I could quote her till there are no characters left in the review window… *lol*

The hero. Damn, I loved this man.
AMAZING MAN!!! Hot guy!!!

My understanding of Alpha doesn’t meet 98% of supposed alphas in CR. I don’t think that an ability to slap a woman’s ass, to dominate her, to humiliate her, to make the decisions for her, to tell her when and how she may have orgasm/take a shower/poop etc. show man’s strength. All these actions show a wimp who hides behind aka macho-façade. All these so called alphas choose a living doormat for a life partner. To feed their ego? It’s convenient of course to have a breathing doormat which can s*ck his d*ck occasionally.

Well, not my coppa, not my fiction, not my life!

I love and respect men who don’t get intimidated by strong women.
You see, it’s very easy to appear strong and cool, when you have backboneless female on your arm.

But it’s a challenge to be a real Man when you have a badass woman.

And this hero was an Alpha! He was strong, caring, honest and he didn’t fear strong women, he wasn’t looking for a damsel in distress.

Yes! FINALLY!!! Finally a man WITH balls!!!
"Don't even fucking think about it, Kenz," he said oddly, making my gaze shoot up from the bill to his face. "I know you asked me out. I also know that you are a strong, independent woman who can pay for her own meals, but understand this about me - I take care of my woman. That means I make sure she is safe, that she is happy, that she is fucked however she wants to be fucked how ever often she wants to be fucked, and it also means I pay."

MY kind of a Man!!!

You know me, I don’t retell the stories.
This one was well written, had amazing main characters and interesting suspense. Hot sex-scenes, many sweet moments.
In short: badass woman and Alpha man.

I’m an unicorn reader. I don’t read to find a fiction of an Alpha man (who often is portrayed as a self-centred manho), I read to feed my hunger for strong female leads.
Because women are strong! We rock, ladies!!!

Since I see a badass everyday in a mirror (sorry, modesty was never my strength 😋), I want to read about women I can connect to.

Ding dong, I found the book.
And I have a feeling I found an author for me!!!
Lucky day!

I wish female readers would pick up more books like this one.
I wish they would take following line as advice and not the fiction of prince on white horse, who would save them and they would live a fairytale.

You know, there are many horses, but only a few princes…

"I paid my own way in life.
It was something my mother pounded into us when we were kids. Always build your own foundations, always stand on your own two feet. That way, no matter what man comes or goes, he can never knock you down."

P.S. This heroine has an AMAZING mother. Since I’m going to read Savages series as next, I will devote this amazing woman a part of my review. Respect!!!

ღ Kenzis & Tig Story, k let me warn you bit 1st this story has some dark discussions, but not as dark as some of the other reads by Jessica.

I must confess I have not read all of the Navesink Bank Universe in the proper order, so I know Tig from Enzo book & also Sawyer book. but holy smoke I didn’t realize how bad Tig’s childhood was until now

Oh hell, yeah, another Kick-ass leading lady, Kenzi is the younger sister to Paine & Enzo…. But she is also confident, strong, wild, carefree, & ball-busting woman, & she needs help , cuz someone seems to stalking her

Kenzi did not wanting to involve her brothers, so she reaches out to a family friend who own PI business
You are going love the twist to this story all the way to very end

There were few times that Kenzi had take the independent thing to an extreme, but the nice thing about that, is Tig could balance her out… I love how Tig could put Kenzi in her place without putting her down & what I specially loved about Tig was that he was one of those big sexy silent types

I know there are so many more of Jessica Gadziala’s books I want to read, but right now my curious bones wants to read is "Reese’ story

I’m going to try my best to stay on my course of reading Navesink Bank Universe in the proper order, but no promises

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book,

The reformed wild child seeks help and at first, nobody listens. Thankfully, Tig sees something the others don't and is there for her when she needs him most. This brings the unlikely pair together in a way that nobody anticipated.

I wondered what kind of man it would take to reign in the feisty Kenzie and was pleased with the choice because Tig doesn't want to change her at all. He's not her usual type but there's something about him that makes him every woman's type. He compliments her so well. Kenzie is a kick@$$ heroine that hides a vulnerable side garnered from years of mistakes and poor choices. She is now hard at work with a successful business and has a relatively low key personal life but someone is threatening her and her business partner.

The plot takes us on a suspenseful ride and catches us up with the Navesink Bank crew we have come to know and love. The writing is excellent and pacing on point. The character development happens organically and is executed well. The Reese teasers are driving me nuts. I can't wait for her story. It seems like Ms. Gadziala loves to throw us red herrings to keep us off track.

Safety: No others for either of them. No rape. Yes to abuse.

After finishing 367 days, I was really excited to read Tig’s story and it didn’t disappoint. He is absolute hero perfection. He’s protective without being overbearing because he knows his woman is strong. Not only does he know it, it’s one of the things he loves most about her.

This has a great storyline with a twist I never saw coming. It was great to see other couples I’ve read about.

And I have to revise this review to say that JG is the queen of epilogues. This author knows how to do them right without ruining other stories in the series. They’re pure perfection.

She grew up being a trouble magnet or instigator, her picture was probably in the dictionary next to the word Wildchild. That feisty, devil-may-care attitude has turned her into a successful businesswoman and this time out, Kenzi is telling the truth, she is in trouble and needs help, now. Why should anyone listen? Only one PI from the Sawyer Agency listened, but Tig didn’t know Kenzi’s past, he listened to his gut and followed his lust to help the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Big, hulking Tig, a bear of man, a one-man wrecking crew if necessary and he is ready to do anything to keep Kenzi safe. Hang on for the suspense, but sit back and enjoy this offering from Jessica Gadziala as she tones down the action and ramps up the romance to high energy! Kenzi is no dream woman, she has her flaws, but Tig, another imperfect alpha likes her just as she is, a shewolf with a snarky streak under that soft skin.

Once again, Jessica gives us a heroine with attitude, a hero formed from his painful childhood and brings them together like two peas in a pod, or two steamy lovers in a bed, or….well, you get the idea.

Jessica Gadziala leaves her readers in awe of another bold and beautiful tale with her no-nonsense, no holds barred style and in-your-face writing. Although the tough guy knocked to his knees by the feisty lady has been done before, Ms. Gadziala manages to own it and make it feel like the very first time it’s been done! Maybe it’s the Big Gulp sized coffee she drinks that fuels her pen!

I received an ARC edition from Jessica Gadziala in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.

Alex's Review
My face:
description

this is me starting the book:
description

then I dive into the book:
description

Now the heroine, my beloved Kenzi, is strong, no doubt about that. Some will call her bitchy to downright bitch.
Me:
description

Now Kenz isn't a typical romance novel heroine. Nothing about her seems innocent, virginal is obviously out of question.

She knows when a woman is eyefucking her man, it's ok, not really, but it's ok. But when someone who doesn't care for the fact that he's taken and tries to flirt with a man on a date, honey, you crossed a line, she'll totally verbally bitchslap you.

Now the whole book is gray, there is not a single shade of pure black or pure white, unless you count the villains, blackest black, or Reese, Kenzi's sister, who is, may be, beige?

So my issue is not Kenzi here, I knew what she is, a strong woman, do I like her, hell yeah, would I be friends with her? umm...probably no, i am not THAT strong, i'll be pretty scared! Would i be her minion? yep!

So I dived in the book to know about Tig, how he handles NOT kenzi, but being with kenzi. Because let's admit another thing, umm...kenzi is a tiiiiiiiiny bit judgemental about guys' appearances! nothing wrong with that (totally is, high maintenance guys are bad news!) and her taste in men sucked! hey! she's a strong woman, she can take my honesty!

So my soul focus had been on the hero!

And i was not disappointed!
description

Now, let me be honest, I didn't like the one paragraph where he was appreciating Reese's beauty, but there was no attraction there, it was more like the set up for Reese's book, I'm guessing, but I didn't enjoy it coming from Tig's chapter. But hey that's fine. but half a star down.

And the sex scenes just didn't work for me. Not my thing, I'm guessing, and I am also guessing it was something Kenzi wanted, because this guy, as alpha as he is, would just sit across the table and stare at her for eternity IF that was Kenzi's sexual preference! but still, half a star down!

This guy to me was pure alpha.

This is also a book where heroine instigated any sexual advances. Not the hero going crazy over his ward and going all "MIne! Mine! Mine!"

Did he freak out when Kenzi took control and the first step? Nope! Did he felt remorse? Yes! Because Kenzi was in a bad place, he was hired to help her, she WENT into the bad place at his watch, he had NOTHING.he felt useless to his woman! He stayed away because he wanted something to give her when he came to her. I find that damn fucking romantic!
Almost as much as this:
description
And this quote:
"I needed to focus, honey. I couldn't... I couldn't come to you without fucking anything to bring to you."

He also loved Kenzi's boldness, and strength and independent. To me he was an alpha through and through! Only a real man can deal with a real woman, because they are their equal!

He LOVED the fact that she asked HIM out. He was in fact honoured! did he throw a childish tantrum because she asked him out? nope! He only had one issue, he PROVIDES for the woman, meaning he pays at the end of the day! Now I can live with that little bit of attitude.

He doesn't even care she takes 2 hour to doll up, now that's not something I'd do, but hey! she does, and it's important what his reaction would be!
his reaction to end result:
He wanted me to spin.
And, feeling silly, maybe a bit giddy on the cuteness of it all, I went ahead and did a spin.
"Alright, let's go make a restaurant full of men jealous, shall we?"
He asked, and there was the flip-flop feeling again. Maybe it wasn't progressive of me to admit it, but it would be a lie to say that I didn't get all dolled up for him, that it didn't mean something to me that he was proud to have me on his arm.

Also his reaction to her confidence and bitchslapping, i ABSOULTELY HAD to add the whole paragraph:
"Just to be clear, it doesn't bother me that a man with me will look at another woman. I think we have established that I am pretty secure. Hell, I might even point out hot women to you from time to time, but what she just did was disrespectful. And I am not someone to let that shit get inside and fester, making me lash out at you when that is misplaced. I'd much rather confront the situation and avoid all that nonsense."
"Kenz," he said, sounding almost gravely serious. "When was the last time a man told you just how fucking sexy that is?"
Unprepared for that, I faltered for a long second before recovering. "Oh, it has to have been at least an hour or so," I quipped. He smiled at that, making his brown eyes warm.
"That's too fucking long. I'll have to set an alarm on my phone to make sure I don't fuck that up again in the future."

And his feeling of honour that Kenzi would have him not because she needs him, she doesn't need anyone, but because she wants him was endearing! I fucking cried!!!!

Also, I am not going into the mystery plot details. But I was as livid as him FOR her. FOR her betrayal. It was SO cruel. SO petty and SO disgusting! And I was glad he pushed to get justice, but then again, that's the kind of man he is! And Kenzi got it too. Not completely his point, but the point that he needed to do this, and because she's an independent woman, she let him. She didn't argue and try to change his mindset, she let him know it's ok to let go, but since he needed to do this, it's ok with her!

And the epilogues were amazing!

His little chat with Gina about parenting was extremely sweet.
Kenzi's confession about a little crush on a brotherly figure, and how it is still endearing to get a hug from him, was extremely cute!
I loved Gina. She clearly accepted Paine (her stepson) in her life knowing he's not at fault for her husband's infidelity. She truly loved him!
I loved Enzo and Paine and their love for Kenzi and Reese, however gray their past may have been.
At the end of the book, I wish I could have a Tig of my own!!!!

Strong, no drama characters paired with an actually in-depth all-surprises mystery storyline. LOVED IT.

Title: 14 Weeks
Author: Jessica Gadziala
Series: Investigators
Genre: Romantic Suspense/Mystery
*ARC provided by author for honest review*

Plot Summary:

Kenzi’s wild days are over - she has settled into running a successful business. Luxe is her baby - so when it’s threatened and the police can’t help, she turns to our favorite PI firm.

Tig’s heard about Kenzi’s reputation - but seeing the strong willed Kenzi genuinely scared has his protective instincts perking up.

As the situation gets more dire, it couldn’t be a worse time to hook up, let alone start something real...

Comments:

Kenzi is the shit. No joke. On numerous occasions I was beyond impressed with how honest, open, and no BS her character was. Tig wants a list of her past sexual partners? She gives him one, no drama, because she is woke like that. She manages to be strong, independent, and sassy all without being obnoxious.

Tig is awesomebasasshotgentlemanness. You don’t get it right away - but Tig is an anti-hero. Growing up trying to take care of his sister despite their awful parents, only to have her become a victim of the very life he was working to save her from threw him off the deep end - one he barely clawed himself back from. He is the perfect guy for someone like Kenzi.

There is absolutely no drama with Kenzi and Tig - and I have to say, that was a much thing for me. Just two people who have a connection, falling for each other. No regrets, no pushing/pulling away. And that was totally true to both of their characters.

The external story line was actually an awesome mystery in that is was an actually a MYSTERY. Like I had a suspicion, but I didn’t know who did it until it happened, and then it was like... NO. WAY. THAT. CAN'T. HAPPEN. Totally a twist.

This was a GREAT addition to JG’s sexy, sweet alpha club.
I absolutely fell in love with Tig, I loved his heart, his bossiness, his imperfections, and especially the way he loved Kenzi for EXACTLY who she is.

This, like JG’s other books, starts off with lots of drama with the h (Kenzi)…. And, WOW, Kenzi is a snarky ball of attitude, fun and total bad ass. I LOVE her and her independence, her girl power was addictive (and knowing she is Paine’s sister made me love her more).

When Kenz needs help and Tig takes the case, there is typical insta-lust. Tig is enamored with her sass and blown away by her beauty and heart. Kenz takes very little convincing to give Tig, who is not her type, a chance..TIMS AND ALL.

The story itself has a little drama, a little lust and a whole lot of falling in love with the characters. Jessica knows how to write my perfect man…MEN. She has, yet again, made me fall head over heels and rethink the man I married ;)

With each of JG’s books my “I NEED YOU TO WRITE THESE BOOKS’ list gets longer . Although I want Reese’s story (curiosity on her man is making me crazy) I am dying for Brock to get his voice….plus I have a feeling Enzo and Espen will be explosive.

As always, thank you to the author for my ARC. I look forward to dreaming about many more of your fascinating men

I swear to God, Jessica Gadziala can write a hero. Sawyer Anderson is still my fave, but Tig is great. Protective, loyal, and doesn't play games. And damn if I didn't love Kenzi, a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners kind of heroine. I loved that Kenzi is the total opposite of the virginal, inexperienced heroine who shows up all the time in romances. Kenzi has lived life, made mistakes, and knows what she wants.

I've slept with who I have slept with, and I see no reason to try to hide that."

Tig, similarly, has made mistakes, some of which a few readers might have some problems with. The book doesn't exactly go into great detail about all of his illegal activities in his past, though, and Tig was young enough that I didn't hold it against him too much. The fact that he was trying to take care of his mother, grandmother, and sister also helped make him a bit more sympathetic, I think.

It might be worth checking out the trigger warnings below if you want more details about Tig's past.

I guess it came down to protectiveness and pride. I needed to know I could take care of my woman, that she could always sleep easy, that nothing could touch her. And being who I was, doing what I did, I had a lot of pull in town to make sure everyone knew she was my woman and that even ruffling her goddamn hair or scuffing her nice shoes would have my ass darkening your door. So I knew she was good ninety-nine percent of the time, even when I wasn't by her side.

I also appreciated the lack of bullshit between Kenzi and Tig. They figure out they have feelings for each other pretty early on, and acknowledge those feelings without playing games. So many authors focus on the unnecessary angst or drama between a hero and heroine, so I personally love it when two characters are straight with each other.

"Alright," I cut her off. "I'm glad you're not pushing me away. It might be new, but that doesn't mean we don't both know this is going somewhere."

So book 1, 367 Days, was phenomenal, and while I wouldn't say the plot of this one was QUITE as compelling, it was still very, very intriguing with a nice twist. I definitely plan on reading more by this author.

What another great read from Jessica. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

This story has some dark discussions, but not as dark as some of the other reads by this author. Of course I love Tig, and am thrilled for another place setting at the family table.

Love being surprised while reading a book and boy did this one manage that. I always look forward to seeing what stories this author comes up with for characters we've known for a while. Kenzie had been a force to be reckoned with in previous books and I have been curious who would be the man for her.

Tig hasnt been as big a player in the previous books as some as the others but we've known about him as he works for Sawyer's PI firm. By the end of the book we've learned about his sad childhood and what made him into the man he is today. He, not knowing a lot about Kenzie's history, was the first to step up to look into the threats she had been getting with the latest being sick and twisted. These two wouldnt from the outside look like a match but they ended up being perfect for each other.

Not going to get into the “suspense” part of the book as much as it should be experienced – but man is it twisted.

Loved getting to know more about Paine, Enzo and Kenzie's younger sister Reese. She is the total opposite of her siblings – mild, meek and bookish. Personally I think she had the best line in the book.

“What kind of men do you like?” a man had asked her at a bar once when I forced her to go out for her birthday. “Fictional, mostly,” she had answered quickly, truthfully.

Loved the book and cannot wait for the next one. I could read this woman stories 24/7.

🌟🌟🌟

Plot: Kenzie and her business partner are being stalked. Kenzi hires her ex drug dealing, prostitute pimping, gang banger brother’s friends from the neighborhood to do PI work and help her out. One of them is Tig. I guess they fall in love, but I didn’t really feel it.

Hero: Tig was a bear of a man with a bad past and hoping for a good woman to settle down with. He had been a hired killer and was now working as a PI. I didn’t relate to him. The whole crowd of people were on a different level than the world I live in. It was Newark, bad neighborhoods and the whole enchilada.

Heroine: She was tough, yes, but there was something about her that didn’t ring true. Mostly, she ran her mouth and spoke up for herself. I would have liked her to take more action.

Opinion: It was a good book. I skimmed in several places and guessed the twist at 50% and at 60% I was sure I was right. The book went downhill from there.

The push/pull: Both showed same amount of interest and completely on board with working toward something long term.

Safety/Experience level: Condoms used. She had 9 partners and had to make the list with names and numbers to give to Tig as part of the investigation. I didn’t like that. She had to lay her past out for judgement and he never revealed his past. No talk of a specific woman, he just mention in the past he had women. That’s it. I wanted more.

Ending: HEA with a couple epilogues spanning 17 years and children.

Would I read again? No.

Awesome

This is an awesome read that you don't want to miss. Not quite as much action as some of the other books by this author but a great romance between Kenzi and Tig. I really love how this author weaves all the characters from the different series in each book. I highly recommend this one.

So I'll start this by saying I knew the book was going to be great from the dedication lol. Now onto the actual story.

Kenzi is such a badass independent woman. She's very fashionable, smart but I question her taste in people all around. She is the little sister of then great Paine and Enzo,(you should know them already) so Kenzi knows alpha males with past struggles and she herself has had an interesting past.

Tig oh Tig I love this man! He's a big man all around who has had a hard past. He's experienced a loss and now as a PI doesn't want to let anyone down. He is a man who knows what he wants in his future and as soon as he see's Kenzi he knows she is just his type. His home is also super cool and it would be a great experience to see it.

This story starts out suspenseful, gives you a rollercoaster of emotions then flips the script and all you thought you knew is different. Tig really balances out Kenzi throughtout this journey and I loved the chemistry between then. I enjoyed the other Navesink Bank characters involved as well as some outsiders that make an appearance. Jessica knows how to make this world grow and I wish this place was real. I'd so live here! I would suggest checking out the reading order and starting there to really understand this world but this book can be read as a standalone.

Loved it. Kenzi is the younger sister to Paine and Enzo. She was a handful growing up and constantly got into trouble. When she and her best friend run into trouble at work, Kenzi goes to her brother's PI friends for help. They don't believe she's serious and blow her off. But Tig wasn't around throughout the years to help clean up Kenzi's messes. He believes she's serious and may really need their help. Not to mention she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen.

Kenzi and Tig are perfect for each other. I loved how he's protective and bossy, yet let Kenzi do her thing. Kenzi is strong and independent but allows Tig to take care of her as he wanted.

Great story. Looking forward to more from these characters.

14 Weeks is another fantastic story revolving around the Navesink Bank extended family. Paine and Enzo’s sister, Kenzi, is a former wild child turned successful businesswoman who runs her own high end fashion store with her best friend, Cassie. When the pair receives a bunch of nasty notes threatening them, they report it to the cops, but basically nothing is traceable and nothing is done about it. When thousands of dollars of dresses are shredded and a seriously nasty message is left in lipstick at their work, Kenzi goes to Sawyer’s private investigation office asking for help, where she finds him with Brock (who she knows) and Tig (who she doesn’t know). Sawyer, who knows what a pain in the bum Kenzi was in her wilder days, hesitates to take the case in part because Kenzi is cagey about the problem and refuses to go to her two brothers for help. Kenzi storms out of his office but the look on her face makes Tig pause. Having been bowled over by the beautiful dynamo but sensing something is truly wrong, Tig follows her out and offers to help her. From there, the two navigate the threats, which end up with Cassie being kidnapped from the shop and the terrible resulting fall-out. Great teamwork from our friends at Navesink Bank, which again prove the strength of love and family in the tight-knit group. Superb chemistry between Kenzi, who has previously only dated workaholic, besuited metrosexuals, and gorgeous, huge Tig whose past is as black and stormy as can be. I couldn't put this book down!

Arc provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

14 days is a fast paced book with a twist that sent my kindle flying (don't worry my kindle was unharmed in the craziness). Kenzi is everything I love in a female character sassy and girly, but not too much that she is out of touch with life. Strong and independent, but soft when love finally comes. Tig is strong and protective and their chemistry is off the charts. Seriously these two are perfect together. The sex, well let's just say holy hotness I thought my kindle would burst into flames! I love how it was kind of a reunion of sorts with past characters we may not see very much. Paine and Enzo of course because they are Kenzi's brothers, but Alex , Breaker, and even Shooter for a tiny bit (not as much Shooter as I would like but that's okay I'll get over it). Now as with all of Jessica's books that is the least awesome part of the whole thing because she always gives us more. At one point my heart was racing so fast I thought it was gonna come outta my chest (insert the previous mentioned throwing of my kindle here) I'm not going to tell you more because honestly where's the fun in that? I will tell you if you are anything like me this book will keep you turning the pages and staying up way past your bedtime to finish. You may ignore life and everyone around you because you just NEED to find out what is going to happen next. It's that good!

Twisted Yet Sweet

The mystery throughout the story is very twisted and ugly, very sad even. The love that happens surrounding the darkness though, super sweet and perfect! I love a strong female character who doesn't take stuff from anyone but I love it even more when there is a strong man to give her a safe place to break when she needs it! LOVED this book so much! Definitely recommend not only this book but ALL of Jessica Gadziala's books, she is my favorite author! Her writing is perfect, just the perfect amount of description to build the scenery, characters, and even the love!

4 Tig and Kenzie Stars

I had mixed feelings about this book, One hand I love Jessica's books and all her stories are amazing. But on the other hand some of the things going on with Kenzie while her friends was kidnapped god knows what happening to her and she off having sex with her man. Yeah that wasn't easy to read.

Now in saying that I did love this book but that why it lost one star with me!

I loved the connection between Tig and Kenzie and I felt everything she felt along the way. This book had plenty of suspense which is something I love in Jessica's book. I love that she can do the suspense but yet still have the romance.

My favourite quote in this book was said by Kenzie's little sister Reese and I have to say I'm sooo excited to read her book.

"What kind of men do you like? A man had asked her at a bar once when I forced her to go out for her birthday. Fictional, mostly she had answered quickly, truthfully."

So I've been having a bit of bad luck with not enjoying new books from my "go to authors" - but I needn't have worried about Ms Gaziala - she does not let us down with any of her books.

This was a great story line that had me trying to second guess the ending (which I did not cheat on reading early - am trying to break my bad habits!).

I enjoyed meeting Paine and Enzo again, and all the hackers - L is becoming a particular favourite (I love coffee too)!

As always the epilogues are the star of the book for me.
