As I've recently watched the movie " monte Carlo" I was excited to read about the book which inspired the movie and with so much disappointment I've to say this book doesn't exist me a little, I was feeling bored halfway through the book, and also the writing, at some point i was even confused who's saying which sentence.
This is not what I was expecting although the movie is wayy better than this version of book.
Four women need to find some rich men, so they masquerade as heiresses. Unfortunately, they pick up four men masquerading as heirs. As the plot becomes increasingly convoluted, you are sure that the author will never be able to entangle it all, but she does. A light read; a fast read; a fun read.
I read this a while back when I was still really struggling with my English. My teacher recommended reading some chick lit to improve my vocabulary lol This book had done its job quite well. It was a good fast-paced read and it was kinda cute in a way. I've never read such a book in my mother tongue so it was a good experience :)
It's a light read, but entertaining and I appreciate the immense amount of detail that is in this book. It made me want to bask in Monte Carlo, myself!
I couldn't finish it. I tried multiple times. Maybe I'll try again in the future but I have too many books calling my name to get boggled down with this one.
