This wasn't my favorite lettering book. I do like the 50 different styles presented, but I don't much like the way they're presented. You don't get much instruction on how to actually do the letters. Each double-page spread (roughly one per letter style) gives you an introductory paragraph or two about the letter style, a sample of the alphabet in uppercase and lowercase, a sample scrapbook page featuring the lettering style, and sometimes some variations on the style. You're encouraged to try tracing the letters, but the sizes presented are limited, so you're going to need a photocopier. As I mentioned, there's not much instruction on individual letter construction.

Overall, this book has too much extra stuff and it loses focus on the main topic-the lettering styles.

3.5 stars. Some really nice and failry easy fonts to use. Also how to transfer/reproduce letters. A bonus - shows the lettering used on scrapbook pages.
