How do I descibe my feelings for this book??? I highly recommend it for you guys to read it, when it comes out in May. All you people who love fairytales, romance, adventure, and happy endings this book wa made for you!! I absolutely loved this book!! I was uncertain at first as to where this was book was going to go. But once I got more into it, I couldn't put it down!

This book ending so beautfilly but I do have one question for Loretta Please tell that my question ends up in a positive answer because I totally ship these couples.

But really you guys just need to go and read this book!! But just as a warning, you will end up falling in love with every single one of these characters, because they are so loveable and amazing. This book also will tear your heart up but then pick up the pieces and make you happy, only for another thing to happen and the process happens all over again.

But then they all lived happily ever after!!

Re-read in June

This was just as good as the first time I read this book!! I still highly recommend you guys reading it!!

Well..... where shall I begin?

2.5 Stars ( it was low quality... )

I'm going to start off by apologizing to the author. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and now I'm going to give it. All opinions are my own. ( Sorry it took so long Loretta! )

My ... my What a Cast of characters!! And I must say... I love a book with a good cast of characters! So many of them are relatable!! My favorite character in this book was between Celeste Nightingale and Queen Villn!Celeste was the most relatable to me as is her ' Secret Admirer ' .... *giggles* !! But I have always had a thing for " The Bad Guys " ( don't ask me why... ) and I love villains who are supposedly bad, but in their own messed up ( understandable for me ) way they are actually good! I was thrilled to find that Loretta had created an enjoyable Villain!

So many fairy tale twists! So many romances! So many characters!! If you don't relate to one character in this book you are sure to relate to another!

I am sorry to say the reason I could not give this book a full rating was because of my confusions! I wasn't sure what time period the story was set in... or if it was in another world.... They had newspapers and a few other modern day things. But this slight downfall did nothing to stop my excitement! I am eager to read the next one and hope to have an even better report coming!! ( typos took away a major part in my rating... and after rereading it I found the writing quality a little low... I don't mean to be mean to a new author but I must also give my full opinion. )

I've had this book on the back burner for way too long but I've finally set my mind to read this and finished it in just a couple of days. Rating it a 2.8

It's important that any and all potential readers understand that this was the debut novel of a 14 year old author. At 14 I was surviving middle school, playing Nitendo, and reading late into the night till mom took my book away (this might be where my habit of reading multiple books at a time started because I would simply wait until she left and picked up another one) I wasn't working on a novel and I certainly had no dreams of publishing at that age. Mad props to you!!

I don't want this to be a negative review because I know for a fact that this author has only improved with practice over the years. I recently read Apple Pie and comparing these two works I saw a drastic difference in the writing style, the dialogue and the flow.

The Lost Princess moved really fast to the point where there were unexplained gaps of time between events. I think if it were longer and had more fairytale elements, it would have really added to the story. The dialogue/phrasing is geared for a much younger audience which for this case makes sense given the author's age. I did like the brief scene of the Beast and the truth behind the cat- I didn't see either of those parts coming. The villain was complex, a trait I liked. She wasn't your average villain, that's for sure.

Overall, I wouldn't change a thing. Why? Because to change any of this debut novel would take away from its charm. As stated earlier, this author has already improved immensely. To go back and polish this one...it just wouldn't work. Do you understand what I mean? It would be like two different authors competing for the same pen.

Thank you, Loretta for the free copy and I hope you never stop writing. It was clear in your writing how much you love your characters and their story.

I loved the idea behind this story. Combining a bunch of fairy tales into one story. Having a large cast of characters all supposed to be different characters from fairy tales and all with different backgrounds and goals. I mean that just sounds fantastic!

I would have preferred to have a little bit more character development. I felt like the book was too short to get to know such a large cast of characters so I was left feeling pretty meh about them. It made it seem like certain declarations of love came a little too quickly. I also would have liked world building. This was a fantasy world, but it had newspapers. So was there a printing press? I would have liked to have known more details about what kind of world this was. There were other things that didn't make sense like for instance why a king would allow all of his children, the heirs of his kingdom to all run off to rescue another kingdom. I think it would have made more sense if not ALL of them had left.

There were some instances of telling rather than showing and a few typos, but not so many as to detract from the story.

The character that was probably the most interesting was Queen Viln. I don't know if I've ever read a book with an antagonist like her.

Many thanks to the author for a copy of the book. I received it in exchange for my own honest review. A positive review was not required of me.

~wonderfuls~

the romance

I won’t give any spoilers, but I loved the romance in this book. It was so sweet! I loved watching it come along as Loretta was writing it.

the villain

Yes. I like the villain. What can I say? Half the time, the villian is my favorite character anyway. Sometimes the heroes are just plain stupid. (That wasn’t the case in The Lost Princess, though. All the characters were well done.) I felt sorry for Queen Villn. Loretta did a great job with her backstory.

the overall story

I loved the The Lost Princess. I might be a bit biased, but I really think it was well-done, not matter if the author is a good friend of mine. So, go- read it!

~personal thoughts~

This was a short review, but I absolutely loved The Lost Princess, and I’m enjoying all the books in The Fairy Tale Chronicles.

Hmm, not bad! ;)

The Characters:
Ivory - she was nice!
Dove - :) :) With that name, one has to smile!
Jacob - liked him too! I don't know what else to say, other than he's definitely a Prince Charming for a certain girl! *winks*
Jay - *nods* He was my favourite character I think! I loved his stern, King-like attitude at times and his carefree attitudes at other times!
Celeste - her knowledge of memorizing stuff was rather impressive!
Cilla - really liked her!
The Queen - well, I didn't feel sorry for her until close to the end, so most of the time she drove me crazy!
There were quite a few different characters in this book, so I won't mention all of them! They all had such unique and fun personalities!

The Story-line:
A medieval, fairy-tail story! I enjoyed it and the twist! ;)

Content:
A couple kisses and hugs between an unmarried couple; magic spells cast on a character Blood mentions from a knife wound; getting dressed scenes, but no inappropriate details.

All-in-all:
I enjoyed it! I'm happy I got to read it for a review for Loretta's blog party! :) A quick and easy read!

Recommended to those who enjoy a short, medieval and fairy-tail story. 12 and up due to content.

(3.5 Stars)

The idea behind this story was interesting. I really liked the idea of combining fairy-tales, and I think this one really falls under that category quite nicely. That being said, there are some parts I liked and then was confused about.

The first thing I want to say is that the Queen was a realistic villain (and that makes me completely fond of the villain even more). I wasn't really sure why she was bent on doing things her way when I first started the book, but I think that is something you have to discover along the way, and it ended up making more sense later on anyway. Once we were given some more information regarding her past, I actually started feeling sorry for her. I think she teaches us an important lesson, to be honest. Not to sound like a Jedi or anything: Once you go down a darker path, it really is harder to pull yourself out of it.

Cilla was an interested sort. At first, I really thought she was this dramatic person who wanted attention. As the story kept going, I realized she was actually just strong-willed and independent. Not to mention sarcastic. I can tell she really values her morals and is very outspoken about what she thinks on a matter. I have to admit I wasn't sure who she was going to end up with. Because the one ship I actually had for her at first literally crashed and sunk. I wasn't liking that at first, but I came to terms with it (being the dramatic me) and actually ship her with someone else now.

What was really hard for me was the huge list of characters in the story. I found myself not remembering who was who quite a few times until I got far enough in the story to have that figured out in my brain. I think it probably would've been better to not have all the characters go on the journey, especially when some such as Melody seemed kind of pointless. A bit lacking in character development, but I came to love a couple of these characters and am looking forward to the next time I'll "see" them.

Another thing: the pacing. I felt everything went by too quickly. One moment they were traveling, the next they're at the border, then at the city. I don't know if it was just me, but that just really confused me at times.

The romance was actually very cute, and clean (with the exception of kisses and hugs before marriage for some readers). That's good, especially because most fairy tales have that type of thing in it. I'll admit it was a bit of a turn-off to see that most of the characters traveling together were in love with someone in the group, but I ended up thinking it was great in the end.

The content I would want to warn other readers about is: some violence; some bloody wounds from being stabbed by a knife. Again, some not-descriptive kisses and hugs between an unmarried couple as well as a few dressing scenes that were not inappropriate. I would think this would be appropriate for a young tween (12-ish) and older.

Overall, I want to see where Cilla's future with another character goes, as well as Mason's. This is an author I'll be sure to be following.

FTC DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary copy of this book. A positive review was not required. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

I have read this book! :D Yay!
(I finished it on the 1st just haven't had time to write a review til now)

What I liked...

-I liked Ivory's character for some reason. I don't know! She was fun! :P

-Loretta did an awesome job with Nana's eight foster kids! For me, it's hard to keep the dialogue flowing with that many people and she mostly included everyone! (just in general when there were lots of people too)

-I loved the mix of all the different fairy tales! Very creative! =D

-The romance was also portrayed very well! It didn't come off as super cheesy or anything which was nice! :P

Things I didn't like...

-I feel like there was a lack of emotion in some places. Like when Ethan and his little family were saying goodbye to each other. A few other places too. But it got better as the story progressed!

-And I also think that "The Lost Princess" could have used one more round of editing before publishing because there were a few typos.

Overall, I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to book two! (whenever I get there XD)
I rate it... 4 stars!

I loved how this story mixed different fairytales together into one! It made for a fun read :) I think my favorite part about this book was the plot. It was such a unique fairytale retelling. I only wish, that it was more drawn out, that there was more detail.
The characters were loveable and the villain was not your typical "evil queen." Also, the romances were sweet and left me smiling.
Although it was not flowery or descriptive, the writing was simple and concise with only a few typos which were barely noticeable.
Definitely keep an eye out for this young author!
