Is there such a thing as an “Islamic” state, or should Muslims reinvent political institutions that suit their own times? Diagne shows that philosophizing in Islam in its many forms throughout the centuries has meant a commitment to forward and open thinking. Souleymane Bachir Diagne (1955) is a Senegalese philosopher. His work is focused on the history of logic and mathematics, epistemology, the tradition of philosophy in the Islamic world, identity formation, and African literatures and philosophies.

قرأته مرتين، والثالثة كتبت عنه ملخصا. جيد في استعراض أفكار الفلاسفة الذين جاء على ذكرهم. معظم فصول الكتاب مبثوثة في كتب أخرى كثيرة
