Inklings is a collection of poetry and prose about the fight for self-love and finding hope in the darkest of nights. It is the first published book by 23-year-old author Katherine Parry. Split into two parts; The Storm and The Sun; it provides inspiration and words of comfort for those who may be struggling against the waves of life.
This was really lovely to read! I really don't have a problem with the writing, I think it's great and definitely my kind of thing and the illustrations are just as cute. I liked the style of the poems and the metaphors used and all that. But I feel like I read quite a few poems with exactly the same topics and at some point, I just got kind of bored of them? They were still fun to read, but just not as exciting for me. And some lines were repeated in quite a few of the poems and that's... just not my thing.
